| Our Auxiliary Instructors are trained and certified by the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Most are also qualified as Boating Education Instructors by Texas Parks and Wildlife . We offer a number of acedemic courses to the public, ranging from 1 hour presentations to the multi week Advanced Coastal Navigation Course. Student interest and demand determines our course offerings and schedule. |
| Texas Parks and Wildlife's "Course on Responsible Boating" is a good basic boating course that meets the minimum requirements for boater education as mandated by the Texas Water Safety Act. We conduct this course on a regular basis throughout the year at various locations. We present the course in Amarillo on the 2nd Saturday from March thru Oct. | The flotilla conducts water and boating safety programs in area schools and for youth groups upon request. |
