Fiance's Meditation
Green eyes filled with light gaze into me,
I find myself secluded in a vale of tranquility,
My fingers run through long nutmeg locks,
leaving me entranced in softness during our quiet talks,
Still I hear tender whispers and see the star swept sky,
When I am here time ceases and I know the reason why,
The world melts away with it's puppetry strings,
And the most beautiful rainbows come from my ring,
A fiance I am now and announced bride-to-be,
appellations which enrich my life and bring ecstasy,
Soft kisses on my cheek, more full on the lips,
is ambrosia I swallow, no time wasting sips,
I feel gentle brushes of fingertips on my skin,
It releases a wave of rapturous tingles within,
Then fingers meet, like finding home, they entwine,
I feel in my heart a soft rush like a dizzying wine.
Then warm arms embrace me and we begin to cuddle,
His kisses on my neck and shoulders are amorous but subtle,
I snuggle into this nest that I've now so long known,
And my heart is at peace because I will never be alone,
I think off to that upcoming grand bridal day,
When we will bond in union, but it seems far away,
I have already set my choice, my heart has made its vows,
and I know that in truth we are already joined together now.
