Shambles

They cut down my dogwood and maple,
and cut off the limbs of my pine,
They dug up my forsythia and lilies,
They have killed dear friends of mine,
They tore down my ivy and put up a fence,
which keeps my old house all alone,
These home wreckers do not deserve to abide,
in my dearly loved childhood home.
