Moonset

I saw the moon setting in your face,
the last stars of night sparkled in your eyes,
The lights of heaven lit your countenance,
as I saw reflected in you the first sunrise,
I trembled in the dew of newness,
but blushed open with the warm rays,
shining serenely down upon my rose,
I felt the leisurely air of summer days,
I felt the mist of rain you brought,
to ease the mid-days heat,
Each droplet kissing my soft petals,
in an intimacy honey sweet,
You sent a rainbow with the haze,
its subtle, varied hues meant to please,
In a fleeting colorspray of delight,
Then a new pleasure wafted on the breeze,
A flurry of butterflies saturated with colors
blues changing to greens, and red to gold,
in a picturesque tapestry of fluttering wings,
Painted memories for me to forever hold,
Your golden light poured across the fields,
casting gentle shadows over the scene,
You have the power to create the world,
in my visions and in my dreams,
For you gave me each shooting star,
and four-leaf clover to wish upon,
and my desire was always for you,
Youmy starlit night and new dawn,
On moonless nights you have guided me,
through the scintilation of a myriad stars,
You, my aurora with your luminescence,
have taken me safely on journeys far,
Each lilting song from every bird,
because of your love I can now treasure,
The blooms of every crimson and white rose,
reminds us that we will last forever.
So let our love color the sky a soft red,
like the flush of a Carribean sunset,
with hints of gold and royal purple,
a palet the artist wont let you forget,
Let the celestials come out flickering,
deep in the orbs of your infitite eyes,
Let the days end tint your face colors,
so divine that my spirit softly sighs,
May the moon rise and soften to silver,
the world in shades of ebony and twilight,
I shall see these miracles in your face,
before I embrace you for the night.
Then in my dreams I am a rose again,
and you nourish me and guide the galaxy,
Creating all beauty that you can weave,
into a veil, covering everything I see.
Yet my favorite memory of these wonders,
is the gentle glow of moonlight on your face
A soft silver of ethereal enchantment,
with just the glisten of a magical trace,
And my heart adores you for your soul,
so exquisite in the radiance of evening,
Matched only by the graces and gifts,
of love for me that you always bring.
