Goku was born on the planet Vegeta during Frieza's empire, if you will, of his part of the universe. His father, Bardock, was a low-class soldier but a very powerful one. He was stronger than a lot of Frieza' elites. Bardock and the rest of the Saiya-jin race were loyal to Lord Frieza and did his dirty work for him. At birth, many Saiya-jin' were sent off to distant planet's to conquer them and add them to Frieza's long list off provinces. Goku was one of these children. Bardock never even held his child before he was sent off to conquer Earth. When Goku arrived, he was discovered by a old man named Gohan. Gohan took care of him until he died when Goku was 12. This is where the Dragonball series begins. Goku eventually meets Chichi and they marry. They have a child together named Gohan, after Goku' earthly father. Gohan is blessed with unimaginable power and soon follows in his fathers footsteps. Goku grows to be very strong over the years, surpassing his master, Roshi, and all of the humans on Earth. At one point, he is the most powerful being in the Universe. Goku is obviously very heroic, but is also strangely modest. He saves the universe from destruction many times from the likes of Frieza, Cell, and Buu. Goku also becomes a legendary Super Saiya-jin, the pinnacle of the Saiya-jin race. Legends told of a Saiya-jin beast so powerful his energy could not be tamed. Goku achieved this power and learned to control it. Goku is finally cast away from this world by none other than Cell. He does return a few times, and goes on to play important roles in the Dragonball Gt series' like his famous fight with Baby Vegita. Tribute is paid to this timeless warrior at the end of Dragonball Gt in the form of a sequence filled with clips from Goku's most famous battles. Farewell, Goku.
