After setting the forms in place, and lining them up, I start the wood stripping on the hull of the kayak.  Each strip is glued and clamped.  This is not the fastest process, because each strip has to dry and cure over night.

By the way,  I bought all of my "pine" - 1/4"x 1" strips from Home Depot in 8' lengths at $2.29/strip.  It takes 45 strips to cover a 16' hull that is 23" wide at the cockpit area (middle area of the hull).
