The Tampa Bay Chapter of the UNA-USA hosted the 2002 Annual Convention ofthe
Florida Division of the United Nations Association of the USA on April 26-27 at
the Continuing Education Conference Center buildings on the Eckerd College
campus in St.Petersburg,Florida.The Center includes complete motel facilities.
The room rate for those who reserve early is $56.71 tax included,  single or
double occupancy. See the registration form for details.

Friday, April 26

3:00-5:15 PM	Meeting of the current Florida Division Board of Directors
3:00-5:30	Registration. Setting up of Displays
5:30-6:30	Reception
6:30-8:30	inner and Speaker � on the International Criminal Court
                delivered by the UNA-USA Convenor for the American NGO
                Coalition for the ICC

Saturday, April 27

9:00-10:30 AM	Plenary Session: 1. Elect New Officers. 2. Consider and adopt/reject resolutions.
10:45-12.00	*Workshop: 1. Panel:  Mentoring Model UN Activities in Your
                Chapter Area. 
                           2.MUN simulation by area students.

12:15-2:00	1.Lunch   2. Presentation by Dr. Renu Khator of University of
                S. Florida,Specialist on Environmental and World Trade issues.  
                                                                       
2:15-3:30	Workshop:  Identifying Local Resources for Chapter Projects.
                As an example, the initiation of the educational video project
                of the Tampa Bay Chapter will be explained, and its video
                creation on illicit drug trafficking,It�s All About  the  Money
                will be shown.  A copy will be given to each chapter attending
                the convention.

3:45-5:00       *Workshop:  Initiating Local Global Health projects.
5:15-6:30	Reception 
6:30-Closing	Banquet 
                Speakers: Ambassador Jamsheed Marker, former Pakistani
                Permanent Representative to the United Nations, former
                ambassador to 15 countries, and  currently special advisor to
                Secretary General Kofi Annan; and Maurice Williams, former U.N.
                Assistant Secretary General, US Assistant Secretary of State,
                and currently a fellow at the Overseas Development Council in
                Washington, D.C.
