 Rwanda is a rural country with about 90 percent  of the population engaged in mainly subsistence  agriculture . Rwanda is a land locked East African  country composed  of savanna grassland.

  According to folklore, the Tutsi were known for their cattle breeding.  Overgrazing and soil erosion are serious problems that affect the entire country.

The growing of coffee and tea is  well adapted to the small farms, hills, and cool climates of Rwanda.  Coffee and tea  crops are Rwanda’s chief exports.  The size of the farm is still becoming smaller
