I've gotten back into sculpting and decided to concentrate on faeries.  There's quite a selection of OOAK (One Of A Kind) faieries to be found on eBay and seem to fetch some pretty decent prices.  I made this fairy for my sister as a Christmas gift.  Though she doesn't know it, I totally messed it up!  I had painted the face with Genesis Heat Set Oils and was curing it with a heat gun - and burnt her nose!!  Arrgh!!!  Rather than cut off her nose and reapply another one (not a good scenario!) I decided to paint all of her flesh thereby ruining the nice skin tone that Prosculpt Polymer Clay gave it.  Ah well, another lesson learned!  Next time I'll only use the oven for curing the paint!
Pics aren't the best - the resolution is rather poor.  My nephew-to-be (finally!!) took the photos and posted them on a Yahoo photo album for me to copy/save.  Anyhoo, the image displayed is not the resolution that was downloaded, hence the degraded pixilation.  Hopefully, I'll get full res pics soon and replace these.
I hope to post each new fae as I complete them - wish me luck!
