The University of Bangor is a great university located in Bangor, Wales (UK). The university has a world-wide reputation for its School of Ocean Sciences, located in Menai Bridge, which is just across the Menai Straits. The courses offered at the UWB consist in lectures, practicals, and fieldtrips, including work on our research vessel, Prince Madog. The UWB offers very interesting degrees, such as Marine Biology & Biochemistry, Marine Biology with Zoology, Marine Biology with Oceanography,... The Student Union offers a huge variety of sportive activities (canoeing, sailing, rowing, scuba-diving, mountaineering,... and you will find quite a lot of pubs... in Bangor. The land- and seascape around Bangor is gorgeous, especially in winter, when the Snowdon mountains are covered with snow. |
