Starter Kits: - learn it the easy way ~
Often I have been asked if English instructions were available, or how one could start this really fun and rewarding craft. You may start by trying out some of the projects I have listed, or if you cannot find the materials outlined in the project, you can consider to purchase these kits. These are Starter Kits if you wish to try out making some flowers yourself.

The kit will contain most of the tools required to make the clay flower. It also comes with an illustrated instruction guide which will show you how to make. These Starter Kits are designed for beginners who are interested in learning this art, or wanting to handmake a special gift for someone special. All instructions are in English only.

* Kit does not include Oil colours needed for painting.  You should be able to get these oil colours locally from your bookstore, or arts& craft supplies shop. However, if you are interested in getting our school special colours, do enquire.
Books for Clay Flower making are also available. They contain colourful photos, some step-by-step instructions or pictures of how you can make your own flowers. However, they are in Japanese, no English. I have found that they are still very useful as their pictures are very clear and you should work out what's required.

One Intermediate Grade kit contains:

Tools not included, Oil colours not included ( assuming that you have bought the starter kit)

Instruction Sheet in English, including what colours to use. You will need to mix your own coloured clay.

All Prices do not include shipping costs. Simply send me an email advising me which item you are interested in and which state/country you are in, and I will work out how much it is for shipping charges. Then, I will advise you the total amount and you can pay by credit card or paypal.
Clay Information:

A pack of clay weighs approx. 200g. This is different from the usual polymer clay as it does not need to be baked. Our technique requires no baking, and for our flowers, no moulds are used, except for accessories making, or leaf patterns. Other than that, they are all hand made.

Clay is white and you add oil colours to it to make your required colour.
Remember that you should start with a soft colour/shade, as after it dries, it gets darker.

This clay is exclusive to the flower school and it is of a good texture to work wiith. This is important especially if you are just starting out. There are other clays in the market which are difficult to handle, and dry quickly.

I have worked with various types of similar clays, but the result is not as good. You can see the difference in quality of the flower, thinness of each petal, or even how easy it is to shape.
