| I've always wanted to go to Bohol. Mostly because I've always wanted to see the chocolate hills and hold a really cute tarsier--the world's smallest monkey (although scientists' say it's not really a monkey, more of a specie under the lemur family). The other reason was because it was embarassing to think that I've crossed oceans away from the country, yet I've never gone to Bohol, despite it being just one hour and 30 minutes away from my city. So when I found myself on assignment in the island last July 7, my heart couldn't help but do tarsier leaps. What greeted me was nature galore! We passed by several chocolate hills (they are scattered in Carmen and Sagbayan towns). I was told there are 1,268 of these hills. They do remind you of Hershey's kisses. :) |

| Did you know... > Captured tarsiers commit suicide. They bang their head against the cage > A baby tarsier weighs 25 to 27 grams > An adult tarsier weighs just 113 to 142 grams > A tarsier can leap 3 meters from tree to tree > A male tarsier has a longer nose than the female tarsier |
