| This is ONLY for CCW, so if you go CW then just do the opposite of this. 1)Before I start explaining mills, you should lay on the ground with your arms out and legs should be spread in a 90 degree angle and your facing the ceiling. Raise your leg up, and twist your legs(while still spread). So this is whats happening, your spreaded legs are going towards the left, and as you roll onto your gut area, the right leg should be in the air and the left leg should go under the right. When u do that you'll be back into the same position as u started off in. Note:STOP! and practice step 1, and note that u must do this slowly to get the concept of the stabbing part of the windmill. 2)First, Get into a push up position, and now with your right hand, stick it out by your head, and with your left hand, place the elbow of the left arm into your gut and fingers pointing out from you. So at this point your arms are in a position that looks like a 8 o' clock position or around there. 3)Now, Your in the hand glide position. In this position you are going to kick off. NOTE:this part of the mills, u must quickly do. With your left leg, kick it up and at the same time, with your right leg, you kick it out straight towards the upper right. So now when your doing this, one leg is in the air and the other is straight and kicking out toward the right. And dont kick too high. 4)This is the part of the windmill what you call COLLAPES. this is when your turning onto your shoulder and rolling onto your upper back. So, now at this point your legs are the way like i said in #3(left leg in the air and right leg straight out towards the right). After your legs are in that position, kick your left leg under the right(and note, right should be kicking higher then left). When you kick the left leg under the right, all your weight goes on your left shoulder. When this happens your left arm slowly bends and when your forearm, sorta push it out but not to hard, just enuff to get your shoulder touching the ground. After that happens, you'll be rolling on your upper back and coming back to your chest. 5)So, you are now onto your upper back. Keep your legs wide open and straight as you can. And you'll roll onto your chest/stomach. NOTE:This part of the mill is known as stabbing. And this is probably the hardest part of the mill. 6)From here you need to start the mill all over so u have a lot of momentum. As like i said before, you'll come up to your stomach, but b4 you come to your stomach, you'll be on the right shoulder since you rolled, and as your on the right shoulder and about to come back to the chest area(sideways), you must twist your legs by kicking your left leg under the right(as said in step 1). To do this your legs must be spread. Now, while twisting, you have to stab. Stab is when you put your left elbow into your gut. Now u should always get a early stab, so when your on your side(when rolling to the stomach)put your elbow into your gut and stiffen gut and get ready for the stab. Stab is only used to help get most of your weight on the upper body so your legs can go higher for a better twist in the legs. So now do all these together. Once you have done that, just keep on repeating whut i said about stabing and twisting. Then your on your way to sum good mills. |
