Mechanics of the Game
FootieManager is a web-based multi-player game where you take  control of a football squad. It you your job to select the team and tactics for  each game played as well as look after other aspects of the club including club  sponsorship, player transfers and loans, club finances etc.

You can  access your clubs details at any time though the web interface and perform  actions that have a real-time effect on your club.

Matches are played at  regular times with the result and commentary posted after each. The match  processing schedule is published within the game.
Getting Started
So you've just taken control of your team but you're not sure  what to do next.

The first thing you need to do is get your squad ready  and pick your team for its first match under your managerial control.
1. On the top menu select (teams->your team->squad)

here you  are able to view all the players in your squad and review their skills and  abilities. For the time being, just take a note of their fitness and rating  levels. With these in mind we move onto first team selection.

2. On the  top menu select (teams->your team->team selection)

You should  first choose a formation for your team for the upcoming match and the 11 first  team players plus 3 substitutes you wish to play. Try to choose your best  players for the formation that you have chosen. Each player has a letter in  brackets (G,D,M,A) to remind you of their preferred playing position. 

Once you have selected your formation and players, click on the "save"  button. If there are any problems, this is usually down to choosing the same  player in more than one position (you may need to hit the back button on your  browser if your selection was lost).

Once you have your team and  formation selected, you can adjust your in-game tactics if you wish (remember to  press the "save" button after you have finished with your changes)

Now  that you have your team selected ready for your next match, you can concentrate  on some other aspects of managing your team.

3. On the top menu select  (teams->your team->sponsors)

Here you can check on any sponsorship  deals your club has. If you have a free slot and a waiting sponsorship deal, you  can gain some extra money for your club by accepting the sponsorship. 
That should be enough to get you started - once you are more  comfortable with the game, you can explore more aspects of the game. You can  access many more management pages through the menu bar at the top of the screen.
