Hikaru No Go

A friend first introduced this comic to me. At that time the vol.8 was already out. It was an extremely interesting story, one free of violence or any other silly romances, it just survive on "Go" alone.

Go was a board game originated from China. Of recent years, the players in Go had shown a dramatic increase. In particularly after the release of this comic, the younger generations began to feel an interest for this ancient game. Me too!   ^ .^
Though i am still a very poor player.

The basic rule of this game... well, i'm not good enough to teach less say so i'd just leave some good sites that you can go and try your hand on this game. i promise this game is real fun and addictive once you know how to play.

So let's us read a bit of fanfic written specially for the characters of
Hikaru No Go!
This picture is a copyright of Jump Comic... er... don't think i can actually put this up but...
Links to Teach You How to play Go
http://www.telgo.com
This is one of the best website to learn go. It was a website that actually test your skills about what is being taught in it.
i learn my go from here... though my being a poor player had nothing to do with its teaching. Need to practice more.
Characters Introduction
Shindou Hikaru - He was a sixth grade student when he discovered an antique Go Chess in his                                       grandfather's store room. Unknowingly, a spirit of a Go Master laid in wait for
someone to bring him back to the mortal world to play Go once more. Inevidently,
Hikaru's interest in Go was aroused and enhanced after his meeting with Akira.
Henceforth, he worked on his skill in Go to pursue his target and opponent, Akira.

Touya Akira    - He was the only son of a gifted Go Master and therefore he pursued the same dream
as his father to play Go to the perfection. However, his meeting with Hikaru (Sai was
the one playing Go with him) made him decided that the path he used to seek was
insufficient. Thus he pushed himself further to challenge Sai one day.

Fujiwarano Sai - The spirit that laid in wait for someone in the old Go Chess. He had died a thousand
years ago due to a grievous game. However, he was unwilling to let go of the mortal
world because he believed he had yet reached perfection. He had possessed the
previous Go Master, Honin Boushyu before and now on Hikaru.

Touya Koya    - Akira's father. He was a talented man in Go and had won about four or five titles.
However, he too, like Sai seeked the perfection in Go as his ultimate goal.

Oya Yoshitaka - He was a Go classmate of Hikaru. He had became a professional player at the same
time as Hikaru. He is a kind, open person who accepted Hikaru and took care of
him since their meeting. His on-line nickname is Zelda

Isumeshin Ichirou - A good friend of Oya and also classmate of Hikaru and Oya. He was very good in
Go but he consequently failed the professional Go test four times. In fact, he was
also among those who helped Hikaru improve his skill in Go.

Ochikou Suke - A sixth grade student who was very ambitious. He had passed the Professional Go
Test at the same time as Hikaru and Oya. He had a very haughty nature since he
came from a rich family and was constantly jealous of those better than he was.
