I started gymnastics in 1992 when I was 2 turning 3 years old. This was at Stirling college. I went through all the Beginners Levels, which were Wombat, Green tree frogs, White pointers, Blue, Bronze, Silver and gold and passed them all with lots of enjoyment. My Gym moved to Erindale and became Southern Canberra Gymnastics Club. This is where i train now. I then went through prelevels and went into level 1 and level 2. After that I was selected to go into the National Stream. This means more, longer and harder trainings. I didn't last long as I found it difficult and was not having fun. So I went back into levels program and completed levels 3 and 4.

Doing quite well in these levels I was asked again to enter the National Program with a 2 other people. So in 1998 I went into National 4. After a year in National 4 I moved up to level 5. I started to learn harder things on each apparatus. My first competition in level 5 wasn't too great, but in our second year of level 5 my team did pretty good at National Clubs. We achieve 3rd Overall, placing on every apparatus. Then I moved up to level 6. At State Titles I was A.C.T champion placing 1st on floor, 1st on beam, 2nd on vault.
A year after I moved up to level 7. This was the hardest stage, learning alot more difficult skills and putting them into my routines. Level 7 is the chance you get to go away and compete. (Because all the 4-6 comps are held in the A.C.T) My first Level 7 comp was in Sydney, I wasn't scared at all about this competition just very excited!!! Months later i was suffering from shin splints. But that didn't stop me training because I really wanted to make the A.C.T team. I missed 2nd Trial because of my injurie but made up for it at State Titles. I placed 1st on Beam, Floor and Vault, 4th on Bars and 1st overall. I was pleased with my result and made the A.C.T team to compete at the Australian Championships 2002.

Nationals were held in Melbourne and I was really nervous. I didn't make Finals but I still had a great time. Next competition was in Sydney again. Competing were Lisa, Tegan and I. We went up the day before and went to our hotel. We went swimming in the pool, and relaxed in the spa! =P That was a good competition for me. Canberra Cup 2002 was really fun! I competed level 7 and got 3rd on beam.

In January this year we had our Training camp, held in Jindabyne. It was Excellent, Lots n lots of fun!!! even though we had to wake up at 7 everyday and had 5 mins to get ready before we went running and do fitness, it was great!
I moved up to level 8 in March 2003. Injured with a fractured finger, I missed first and second Trial for Australian Championships. But i ending up competing State Titles. I came 2nd overall, I didnt qualify as i stuffed my vault.
.
On the 23 i had a another trial to qulaify to compete for my state. I qualifyed so i will be going to melbourne to compete in the Australian Championships 2003 in may!

It didnt go to good for me in Melbourne. In training 2 days before competition i fell off bars and was taken to hospital. i stayed there for 2 days and ended up not being able to compete. Other than that it was really fun! Thanks to Caroline (my coach) for staying in hospital over night!

I have competed in many competitions, earning Trophies, heaps of medals, lots of ribbons and certificets. I am still enjoying gymnastics and look forward to competing in future competitions.
