Good news everybody!!! My doctors are turning me into a normal child again...well, normal for me. Hehehe. I have been taking 50 mgs of steroids for about a year now, everyday, and NOW, since I started having my chemo treatments, my doctor thinks that we can reduce the amount I take everyday. This scale will show you how he is doing that:
May 22nd-May 26th........40 mgs per day
May 27th-May 31st.........35 mgs per day
June 1st-June 5th.............30 mgs per day
June 6th-June 10th...........25 mgs per day
June 11th-June 15th.........20 mgs per day
June 16th-June 20th.........10 mgs per day
June 21st-June 31st..........10 mgs on every odd numbered day
July 1st.............................OFF!!<--That's also my birthday!!! What a birthday present!!!
That is how I will be getting off my steroids, and I'm happy as hell, and I can't wait until I'm off them completely. I need to lose this gut.
This scale will show how my doctor will be reducing the number of times I come in to get my plamaphoerisis:
Week of May 19th.........I will only be getting my plasmaphoerisis on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Week of May 26th.........I will only be getting my plasmaphoerisis on Monday and Thursday.
Week of June 2nd..........I will only be getting my plasmaphoerisis on Wednesday.
Week of June 9th...........NOTHING!!! NO MORE PLASMAPHOERISIS!!!
I have been coming everyday to the dialysis unit to receieve this treatment called plasmaphoerisis. It has been about six monthes, and I will be completely releaved once I am done with that part of my life.
My catheter will hopefully be able to come out by the middle of July. Just in time for my trip to Delaware (50th Anniversary for Grandparents/Family Reunion). It will be fun if I get to swim on that vacation.
