Fun Stuff

About Twon and Seb: Before MSK...

Man! Do I love having fun with my characters. :) It's fun to see how they develope. Like growing flowers or something. Anywho, this page is basically the careers of Twon and Seb, the "actors" in my manga, "My Shining Knight". Whatever...it has pics! ^__^ (In case you don't understand..."Twon" is short for Antoine...I just get tired of writing out his full name all the time. Besides it sounds cool). Note: None of this is fact, only fiction. This is me having fun with pics and stuff. Also, I did not base my chars from the series mentioned, I just happened to notice similarities.

Early early years...
Twon and Seb are actually quite infamous on the screen. You've prolly seen a lot of them, but never noticed. ;) Their acting careers started at a young age where they got some secondary character roles. Seb and Twon made their first breaking role in the anime series "Saint Tail". Twon and Seb landed roles of Asuka Jr.'s schoolmates. Twon is the one with freckles there. ;)

"Saint Tail" never became a really popular series, so they pulled out of it. They were still determined to stay together as a brotherly team in the acting business. A few years later, they landed some roles as extras and stunt doubles. Well, Twon got most of the stunt work.

(This is from "Samurai X: The Motion Picture).

The brothers felt their acting abilities were being underused in their work. So they went their seperate ways for awhile. Twon delved into voice acting for awhile and landed a role in a tiny RP as an ant named Reynard. The voice acting career went belly up after refusing the part of a cute adorable kitty.
(The Role Twon never accepted).
Instead of voice acting, Twon went back to being an extra in some military films. He was 'generally' pleased where he was and did some stage acting on the side.
(Twon in Military Uniform)

Seb on the other hand, had chances for more prominant roles. He was one of the casts made for "Saber Marionette J". However, due to the content, is resigned and the role was given to Otaru, who is the character you know. This is the role he grew his hair out for.

Another role was to be cast for him as a punk son of an Egyptologist. But the series, "Isis", lost funding and had to fold, leaving Seb without a job again.

Disappointed about the results of anime shows, Seb left the field to persue stage acting. Unable to land any roles in the professional stage, Seb went back to school and did drama in college for awhile.

Miracle

While in their acting slump, Twon and Seb were brought together almost fatefully by an opportunity for a large role in a new medieval fantasy series. The creator, Modesty, was willing to take some chances on these two and casted them as the two main characters. This would be their first steps out of the background and onto center stage since their first appearances.

It turns out "MSK" was just the role they needed. Twon's athletic abilities, colorful personality, and dynamic spirit fit the character just perfectly. "Off camera, Antoine and I get along great! He just the guy people love to hang out with. On camera he's totally professional and determined to get things right. You'd hardly expect it the way his character acts that this guy can be serious...although there was that one time..." says co-star Cecilia.

Seb's aloof look, classical training, and ability to memorize lots of lines made him a gift for "MSK". "He works so hard on and off stage. If he's not reciting his lines on stage, he's reading them on his break. The guy is absolutely obsessed with this!" says Modesty, the director. Brianna, co-star also adds, "He may seem somewhat snobbish on the outside, but he's been terribly helpful! He has prolly memorized everyone's part to the letter. It's great not having to go back to the script with him there."

Their Opinion

Twon: "MSK" is probably the best role ever. I mean, it is probably because I finally got a major role, but even the background stuff is fun. The character "Twon", is really a challenge to nail down. At first, I approached the character from such an angle that he was like some sort of girl obsessed freak. The extremes of that personality made me rethink the character. I discover that he really isn't just some typical, anime pervert, but just a normal, hormone-driven guy. I mean, sure, I see a pretty chick, I wanna strut my stuff, so that's what Antoine wants to do too. Antoine and I have a lot in common besides having the same name. We're both kinda trying to appear manly on the outside, but on the inside is a little kid screaming for attention...preferable from girls! ^__^

The rest of the cast is a hoot! I think my favorite co-worker is Aidi, (Aidern the fire elf). He is so much like his character it's scary. We had lots of fun together during breaks just having little competitions. The dude is like insanely athletic, I could never hope to be as good as him. It's a real shame that he doesn't get to do a lot of athletic stuff on screen. :P

My fave female co-worker has got to be Cecilia, believe it or not. Actually, she and Nal come pretty close. But, Ceese is my movie watchin' buddy. We both are freaks for anime...maybe she more than me. We also love 'LOTR' and other fantasy stuff. Nal, is like an older sister. She's had experience in this form of acting and has just been keeping me in line and teaching me the fineries of the job.

Yes, Seb and I fight all the time. He always yells at me when I don't review my lines between scenes. He gets too worked up about everything, he just needs to relax sometimes. But our disagreements work into the acting itself. At one point, we had this big arguement over how I was acting out the character. I added some stuff into the script, which drives Sebastien nuts. He would make the most animated faces. Modesty loved that and worked them into the shots. :D

Seb: I see "MSK" as a great opportunity for me to get myself some more exposer. Yet, I've come to the point where, I can't think of any other role I'd rather have. I also feel safe about the content of the series. It may sound like I'm some over protective parent or something, but I try to find family friendly series to cast in. My mom kind of influenced that when she didn't let me join one of our school plays one year. Anyway, Sebastien the character has been a great window for self-discovery. Because of the challenges I've had, I was able to pin point my weaknesses as an actor as well as my strengths. I've never been able to do that with any other role. The character itself, was pretty easy actually. We have so much in common, I find it's just best to be myself in situations he gets involved in. As you will see as you watch the series, Sebastien goes through various stages. These happened in sync with how I was learning about myself.

Luci, the actor for Lucifer, is my favorite co-worker. He's pretty quiet most of the time, but he is a brilliance on the stage. I love the sound of his voice! I really wish that this would have been a musical for his sake. Luci is very down to earth and reasonable. I think his family has something to contribute to that. His son, Phim, is also very gifted. Luci and Phim were able to help me and Antoine through some tough times during the filming. Poor Twon had gotten the dump during a point in the filming where good things were happening and Twon just wouldn't smile at all. Luci was always there just to be supportive and encouraging to him. He totally goes beyond the call of duty to help his fellow workers.

It's funny how everyone in the series prefers Brianna over Cecilia, when off stage it's quite the opposite. Cecilia just makes everyone smile. She loves her work and it shows. She also knows how to make it fun and mellows the atomosphere. Ceese takes a totally different personality on stage. She and her character have this love-hate relationship. Ceese really doesn't like how the character treats Antoine. After a scene where Cecilia totally rips on Antoine, she's frantically apologizing to Twon for yelling at him. I can also trust her with anything. I've been able to confide in her and she works with Luci to sort difficulties between me and Twon. Although, I think I get along with Brianna better. She's like Cecilia's more serious side. She's very quiet too.

Twon is a brat. Completely, laid back and easy going. He's like the exact opposite of me, which is probably why Modesty found us as ideal for the roles. Although we have our differences, Twon and I work together pretty well, on the whole. While I constantly remind him to read his script, he's constantly telling me to relax and not become so tense before going on stage. We're a team, and that how it's gonna stay it seems.

Other's Opinions

Seb is a real trooper. I think he's been through more hard times than Twon. I suppose sometimes he feels like he's the outcast of the cast, but in reality he's the most popular guy. It's ridiculous how the fellow actresses swoon over him. I just don't understand the extreme attraction...and Silvia is very glad I don't. ;)
Twon is lots of fun. I'm sad he and Glaraphim never get to interact. I get a kick out of his character. He's lots of fun off stage too. He always knows where to find the best snack foods during breaks. ;)

They're both the cutest things on earth. The way they quarrel is so childish at times, it's hard not to laugh. Seb doesn't like to admit it but he's quite the charmer off stage. You can tell when he's not acting, it shows. It's kinda hard for him to lie. Twon on the other hand...is pretty immature and bumbles a lot. It takes a lot of patience to work with him.

Ha! They're my boys! I could eat 'em both! *chomp* They are both some of my best buds now. Seb totally helped me study during the filming. He was just so willing to help with that kind of thing. Twon is my cheerleader and vegtable bud. It's hard to be sad or upset with him smiling in your face, poking your ribs and asking in his squeaky voice "whatsamatter?". I can tell him anything and he'll make it seem like it's not as big a deal as you think. Actually though, it's kinda fun to yell at him and beat him up on stage...he always gets his revenge off stage...sometimes. ;) Twon and I are both total freaks about "Rurouni Kenshin", "Saint Tail", and "Sailor Moon" oh and "G Gundam!" ^__^ However, he also like "Love Hina" and "Ah! My Goddess". I prefer "Visions of Escaflowne" and "Gundam Wing". ;) Ack! I said too much didn't I? crap!
