The basis for this vignette was:
i] Dragon kit no: 1619 German Wehrmacht Cavalry
ii] Tamiya kit no: 36307 WWII Wehrmacht Infantryman (on maneuver)
iii] Verlinden item no: 794 MG34 German Machinegun
The Dragon kit depicted a late war - 1944 - cavalry uniform so a number of additions/changes had to be made to depict the 1936 model uniform. Boxed pleat pockets, green collar etc. Also I wanted my cavalryman to be armed with the KAR98K rifle complete with ammunition pouches which were all gleaned from Dragon Spares.
I also replaced the MG42 supplied with the Tamiya figure with a Verlinden MG34 to complete the early war look.
