| The Sweetest Thing Reviewed By Emma Rated MA Stars: Cameron Diaz Christina Applegate Selma Blair Official Site Plot: The story centres around three friends, Christina (played by Cameron D not Christina A) and Courtney (played by Christina)..geez what�s with the C names??� and Jane (Selma Blair) who�s theory on men is �Don�t look for Mr Right, look for Mr Right Now�. Basically they�re players, getting what they want from a guy and throwing him back on the pile when they�re done. The theory hits a snag when Christina falls for a guy she meets in a club, and seemingly misses her chance to hook up with him. She realises that she�s sick of the games and with the help of Courtney, embarks on a road trip to track down Mr Right, and hijinks ensue. Critique: I enjoyed it thoroughly. I loved that the two main chicks were not the typically weak women (oh boo hoo �. I need a man to look after me�sob sob). To be honest, this movie won�t be winning any Oscars but it was still entertaining. The script is fairly thin and some scenes lacked motivation (eg the movie montage scene whilst damn funny, didn�t seem to have anything to do with anything!). What can I say � I think its funny to see a girl trying to pee at a urinal and another getting a dick in the eye. I think most people�s problem with the movie is that they are not used to seeing females behaving in a typically male manner. Screw you guys � It was great! Score: |
