Review:
Insomnia follows Will Dormer (Al Pacino) an LA homocide detective who travels to Alaska with his partner to help the local cops solve the murder of a 17 year old girl.
While trying to put together the pieces of the puzzle, Will struggles without sleep thanks to the 24 hour sunlight of the Alaskan town.
I thought this psychological thriller was a little slow, predictable and not quite thrilling enough.
Saying that, the acting was great,m with Hilary Swank playing the local cop in constant admiration of Detective Dormer and Robin Williams as the killer trying to manipulate Will.
Detective Dormer is very similar to Alex Cross in Kiss the Girls / Along Came A Spider but the movie didn't live up to expectations.
I was going to give it 6 but decided to add half for using Jonathon Jackson as the victim's boyfriend.
