- Get noticed! Affiliate with other big sites, like Dark Mark, The Snitch.co.uk
or even us! Some other ways to get more hits are to:
a) Join a banner exchange
b) Ask sites to link to you (they will most likely add you if they have a link page)
c) List your site in your host's Member Directory (if there is one)
d) Submit your site to search engines (usually it costs money)

Geocities, it has free hosting with lots of space and you
can upgrade to get your own domain. Much more, like PageBuilder.
Tripod, another free host, it includes FTP access and more.
DotEasy, through referrals, you can get a FREE domain, and you also
are able to get Microsoft Front Page Extensions, e-mail, and much more.
Envy.Nu, a free host, but get this: no ads!
- Check your spelling. A few errors here and there are okay, but if they are everywhere,
visitors will think you are uneducated and you won't get as many hits
- Don't have loads of images on every page- loading will take forever, and visitors won't bother
to come back
- One of the most important tips of all: Do not copy other sites' content! It's one
of the worst, selfish things you can do. Don't do it! You've been warned
- Make sure it's easy to get around the site. It's confusing to try to view pages with
links all over the place, or not at all. Try categorizing your links
- Don't go crazy with colors. It's annoying and difficult to read rainbow text
- Update often. I despise sites that are up and getting hits, but haven't updated
for about six months...it becomes boring
- Don't chew off more than you can bite. Having 200 pages, along
with a promise to update so often that every page will have new stuff at least once
week is going to wear you down, unless you have a big and cooperative staff
- Be original. Don't have all kinds of pages and sections that lots of sites have, have
at least a few pages you haven't seen anywhere else
