Ways to play Quidditch in the real world.
ROKE
A game that is true to the basic principles of Quidditch but it's playable in the non-magic world has been created.
It is called Roke (roe-key).
EQUIPMENT
1 whingo(a whiffle ball)
1 Pinky (small,soft,rubber ball)
2 Roks (short,stubby plastic bats)
2 Whimpers (wooden paddles, like those used in racketballs)
2 Stoopers (bouncy paddles about the same size as those in racketball)
Some cones to mark out the goals
A small field, yard, space, etc. to play on
RULES
Winning team is the 1st to get 10 points.
Two players on a team, two teams.
On each team, 2 roles:
The Hurdler, (like a chaser in Quidditch) who uses the Rok to hit the Whingo.
The Whacker (like a mix of beater and seeker) who uses the whimper to hit the pinky.
The Hurdler's job is 2 score points
by using Rok to hit Whingo into the other team's goal
for 3 points per goal while using her stooper to block the other team's whacker from hitting her with the pinky.
The Whacker's job is to score points by hitting the other team's hurdler with the pinky, using her or his whimper each hit- 1 point also, the whacker tries to protect her own hurdler from getting hit with the other team's whacker from hitting her with the pinky.
however, there is only 1 pinky in the field at a time, so the whacker must try to get it quickly
It shoulded be noted that the whacker may not at anytime have contact with the whingo. if she (or he) does have contact w/ the whingo, she must hand over his or her team's pinky to the other team's whacker.
