Interview transcript from MSN with Emma Watson
After this movie, every little girl in the world is going to wish she were you. What's happened to your 11-year-old life since you've taken on this role?
It's the scariest thing that's ever happened to me, it's the biggest thing that's ever happened to me,
and it's the best thing that's ever happened to me! I really enjoyed making the film and
I'd love to think that people would look up to me. That's very flattering.
Was it fun or tedious working on all of those stunts on the set?
In one of my stunts, I had to crawl under all of these cubicles.
And I actually measured them--30 centimeters--I might as well have joined the army!
I think I swallowed a lot of dust that day. That wasn't the most tedious, but it was fun.
How did you find out you got the part?
[Producer] David Heyman actually invited [Rupert Grint] and me to come in.
We sat down in his office--very casual--and he said, "You've got the part."
I was so shocked and I just stood there and said, "Pinch me!"
Did you believe in magic before "Harry Potter"?
I thought magic was a white rabbit and a black hat. I'm not superstitious, and I only
read the horoscopes for fun.
You have a really interesting hairdo in this film. Did you have a wig on or did
they actually tease your hair?
Both. There were a few hair extensions and it was teased.
In the next film, do you think there's going to be a romance between you and Harry?
Or will it be Rupert?
I've been asked this by so many people. And it's so embarrassing! [Laughs] I have
no idea who she's going to end up with. I think she'll just end up single.
Have your friends kept you grounded during all this chaos?
My friends have been a big part of that. I'm so grateful to them, because they treat
me like a normal person. My parents have been really good about it, too.
They made me feel that if I didn't get [the part]. I was just as special as if I did.
Yeah, I've been trying to keep a normal life, which is sometimes hard.
