Daniel Radcliffe was born July 23rd, 1989 in England. Since he was five years old,
he wanted to become an actor, but his parents didn't immediately agree with him that
it was the right thing, but he "wore them down with enthusiasm" , quoting his parents
(Marcia Gresham, 44, a casting director, and Alan Radcliffe, 46, a literary agent).
Danny got his first mayor role 1999 in the BBC Production "David Copperfield", where
he played young David. "The Tailor of Panama" followed in 2000, a spy thriller.
In 2001 he gathered the role for Harry Potter in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone",
which is directed by Chris Columbus (Mrs. Doubtfire, Kevin). Danny had to
attend about five auditions, and competition was big (Haley Joel Osment and Frankie
Muniz were considered, too). His salary for the movie that introduced him as one of
the most-wanted young stars was $110,000. As part one was the most-awaited
movie of 2001, we can be sure that part two will follow likely autumn 2001.
Shooting has already started October 18.
