Fletcher 6 - White 3

The Fletcher Senators (9-7) defeated the Ed White Commanders (7-12) tonight in comeback fashion.  It was the return of ace Jason Sowers to the mound for the first time since the first game of the season versus Parker when he broke his ankle.  He lasted four innings while only giving up one unearned run.  He was relieved by Kip Lane (5-2), a usual starter.  Lane struggled early, but found his form and was able to finish off the game to get the win.  The offense was sparked in the bottom of the fifth when down 3-0.  A Jason Hiers double scored a run and more clutch hitting by Marshall Deal, Devin Gonzalez, Ryan Schmitz, Jason Sowers ,and others kept the runs coming.  The win helps Fletcher in there seeding for the district tournament.  They take on Wolfson High (nationally ranked #5 by Baseball America) on Friday in another big district and conference game.
