Fletcher 8 - Eagle's View 4

The host Fletcher Senators (5-4) defended the island and won their own spring break tournament tonight by defeating the Eagle's View Academy (5-5) in what was a complete team effort.  Senator's starter Kip Lane (2-1) pitched the best game he has ever thrown in a Fletcher uniform, going all seven innings in dominant fashion.  Outfielder Griffin Brown lead the way for Fletcher with three hits.  Catcher David Eldredge added with a mammoth home run to dead center field and Devin Gonzalez also had several RBIs.  Everybody who played, played well.  Today maybe the needed boost to be the turning point in Fletcher's season.  But right now the Fletcher players, coaches, and fans are just proud to be able to finally call themselves champions.  A title the baseball team hasn't called themselves in a very, very long time.
