Bartram Trail 3 - Fletcher 1

The Fletcher Senators (5-7) lost to the Bartram Trail Bears (9-4) in a close battle tonight at Frank Hoye Field in Jacksonville Beach.  The Senators only managed four hits all game, and three of those came from Jason Hiers, who had a double and two singles.  The other hit came on a Mikey Braswell single up the middle.  Heirs (0-1), also was the starting and losing pitcher in the contest, pitched five innings.  Sophomore Justin 'Stash' Preckajlo pitched the last two innings without allowing a run.  This loss puts Fletcher way behind in the district by lowering them to 1-5 in the district.  The Senators take on Ed White Thursday and will try to repeat what they did to White in the preseason classic.
