"Healthy, wealthy, and wise: MacNeal health survey pays off for employees, hospital"
Good health is the sum of hundreds of daily decisions, or "lifestyle factors"--everything from what you eat for breakfast to how you relax after work and whether or not you wear seatbelts. These seemingly mundane actions all add up to determine your risk of injury or death from accidents or disease.
A new survey of MacNeal employees, the Lifescore Quick Check, has measured these lifestyle factors across a broad demographic spectrum. Performed by the Center for Corporate Health, a national firm which offers wellness programs and newsletters to companies, the survey makes both good sense--and good cents--for both MacNeal and its employees.
