"Occupational Therapy:
It's Not Just a Job, It's an Occupation"

Imagine you’ve just picked yourself up off the ground during a football or softball or field hockey or any other game. Your uniform’s dirty—no big deal—but your little finger’s crooked and swollen and you can’t bend it. Oh yeah, and it hurts.

Flash forward two months after your finger fracture—many doctors, X-rays, and waiting rooms later. The break is healing, but the joints are stiff from weeks in various casts, splints, and bandages. Oh well, that’s life, right? No, not "oh well"--OT.

OT, or occupational therapy, is your next step on the road to recovery.
