Waking up and feeling incredibly hung over and stinking of sick is disgusting at the best of times, but when you're at a mates house, have 30 minutes to get from Elvathem Heath to Woolworths for an induction day, and have managed to waterlog your phone, it really does take the piss. That sick hung over feeling wasnt helped by the following 5 hours, which involved sitting in the Woolworths basement (which, by the way, stinks of shit) watching some truely memorable induction videos.
Needless to say after this pleasant of mornings, with no food, no money, no mobile phone and only a t-shirt in the pissing rain i wasn't jumping for joy at the prospect of watching Fleet play Dorking (honestly what a shit name for a team.)
But what a treat it was. Me, Eddie and Palman watched fleet go 3-1 down and with 8 minutes to go 3 points seemed a million miles away. cue Martin Gayling/Girling who turned who turned the game on its head with a series of free kicks and corners (infact he managed to take a corner, and still be in the box to poke it in - how did he blag that ???)
Girlings qualising goal in the 90th minute was morethan we could ever have hoped for, however fleet went one better with a last gasp winning goal. needless to say the small casuals contigent behind the goal were on the pitch before you could say "YESSSSSSSS FUCKING GET IN THERE!"
This was a comeback, which made Liverpool's heroics in the Champs League final look shoddy in comparison
