| Our homework is usually practicing letters, sight words and reading. They go through the reading program is steps and their homework depends on what group they're in. They begin as Appretice Knights learning their letters and sounds. Some letters make more than one sound, but we only do one sound at a time. | Phonic Rules! Sight words must be memorized because they do not go by the rules. When there is one vowel [a, e, i, o, u] in a word, the vowel will usually say its short sound. When there are two vowels in a word, the first one says its name, and the second one is silent. |
