.Off-season trades of designated players will be allowed in the normal manner as stated above.
.All off-season trades must be of equal representation, i.e. one for one, two for two, or three for three. No off-season trades will be allowed that would put one team over the designated number of keepers for that league.
.A player must be on a managers roster at the designated trading deadline for that league for that player to be eligible for keeper status. Said player must also remain on the manager's roster for the duration of season to qualify for keeper status. Any player added to a roster, regardless of prior ownership, will not be eligible for keeper status.
.Any player that a manager keeps on his or her roster for longer than 30 days (cumulative, not consecutive) that was not on an active MLB, NBA, or NFL roster (i.e. was in the minors, college, or Heaven forbid high school) must be designated as a keeper for the upcoming off-season. Said player may not be released by the manager until after the next corresponding seasons draft.
.If a manager decides during the off-season to not return for the next upcoming season all attempts will be made to find a replacement manager for that team. If a manager is not found in time for the next season then the team will be contracted and the keepers for that team will be available for the draft just like any other player.
.If a manager is unable to attend the designated draft time it is their responsibility to pre-rank their players to ensure that their designated keepers are taken at the appropriate time and only those players are taken at those times. The inability of a manager to do this, resulting in a player being drafted at an inappropriate time, will result in draft infractions as noted earlier.
.Every manager must designate the required number of keepers before the designated championship game of the corresponding season (first game of the World Series, Super Bowl, or first game of NBA Finals).
.Once a manager designates their respective keepers for that season and the notification deadline has passed a manager will not be able to remove any designated player from keeper status until after the following season's draft.
.Any player that is designated as a keeper will remain a keeper through the completion of the next season's draft.
.If a player with keeper designation is released by a team, said player will retain previous keeper status until after the keeper designation period has been completed. After that time period, player will return to regular player status and be available for draft just as any other player would. |
