Here goes chapter two of my Chosen fic.

**Wakenings And The Fight**

"Tenka, please wake up. Please..itīs scary in here, I need you!"

Tenka blinked his eyes again. He was laying on grass.

He turned around and saw his little sister abowe him. Her eyes were teary, and she was a bit wet all over. Tenka jumped up.

"Jari!" He hugged his sister , and felt how thousands of questiones came to his head. He was speechless a sec, but then picked one of the most important ones to him.

"Jari, what are you doing here?" The little girl looked up to him.

"You want me to go away?" She whispered.

The boy shook his head out of suprise and almost laughed, "No! I didn't mean it like that! I just...Jari, whe are not in Earth right now. Actually I think we are not in Mars, Europa or even in the Moon. We donīt know a thing about this place, and this could be dangerous, my little sister. So- I want you to be careful, okie?"

Jari nodded briefly. "So what are you doing here?"

"I donīt want you to go alone. I followed you." Tenka smiled at her, but frowned then. "Jari, why are you so wet?"

"I fell into a river. But it was just a small river, or well it wasnīt, but I landed almost to the shore. Mika didnīt have such luck. "Who? Did you come with someone else, Jari?" She nodded.

"His name was Mika, and he was small. He didnīt say anything else, just his given-name." Tenka started walking.

"Jari, Show me that river. We maybe can help the boy." She took Tenkaīs hand and they started to walk to the river, where Mika and Jari were separeted.

It was starting to get dark, it was evening. There was no wind and the trees were quiet and still. The last rays of red sun colored the forest and the river that went through it. On the shore something moved and jumped to the river, and swimmed towards a tiny boy who was very fastly getting himself drowned. The boy sank to the water again and again, until he was too tired to try anymore. When he was underwater, beyond panic and scare of death, he saw some fish in the river. Bright, colorful fish.

He started to laugh, but the fishes didn't help. The darkness came closer and closer, when suddenly he felt a hand touch his own. He looked up, and saw a bright light playing in his siblingīs hair, and he saw worried eyes he knew so well.

After a happy smile he gave up to darkness and knew his brother would take care of him, no matter what. * * *

When Mika woke up, he noticed he was on the shore, in a small cave-like thing, and he was wearing something that wasnīt his. "Ji?" he mumbled. The boy in question turned to him and smiled. He didnīt open his mouth, but Mika knew the question. "Yeah Iīm okie."

Jiru smiled, but then frowned as remembering something. //Note-book?// Mika set his eyes downcast,

"I lost it. Sowy, Ji." Jiru rised his hand and 'said',

//No problem between you and I, but you have to be my translater for the others for now on...If we find them, though.//

"Yeh suwe, whatewe you say 'niichan."

//Sure you can handle it?//

"Of couwse, I have done this befow, wemembe?"

Jiru grinned a bit; Yes, he remembered indeed.// Come on, weīll have to find the others.// They rose and Mika almost fell with his pants. "Hey Ji, whose clothes am I weawin'?" Jiru took Mikaīs clothes and gave them to him. // I had a fire here and I tried to dry your clothes, but the fire went off when it started to rain and now I canīt get the firewoods burn again, theyīre all wet.//

" But whose-"

//They were in that blue bag. There were also some chocolat, water and a can of beans.// Jiru started to laugh sarcastically, silently as always,

// I wonder what they were thinkin'. How weīd supposed to open the can?//

Mika smiled too, he always loved it when his brother was happy, even when it was sarcastic happiness or bittersweet grinning. These days, he often wasnīt happy at all. He was too serious and worried and Mika knew it was mostly his fault.

"Iīm sowy Ji." Jiru grabbed the little boy in his arms and looked at him questionally.

"Youīd be happy without me." Mika said sadly. Jiru put him down, because he needed to answer this with his hands.

//Mika, what do you mean? Iīd be happy in here without you?// Jiru smiled, //Why do you think that?//

Mika didnīt quite find the words. Jiru flikered in suprise. //You really think so, little one? When did you got so wise?// Mika looked at his brother who had came to his knees to his front.

"You taught me to see how people feel. Thatīs what you feel sometimes." Jiru was suprised by his brother. He never tought someone could actually see it in him. But he had sometimes hoped someone could see and help them. Only one who understood was his brother, his little five-year-old brother. And that was one of the things he loved in his sincere little Mika.

//Cīmere, lil' one. I wanna tel you something.// He sat down under a tree and hugged Mika.

//You are my life.//

Couple miles away that river, woke up Wiz found himself on a red-spotted tree, and couple branches away was sleeping Memo. The whole tree was full of some weird animals. A half of a sec later Memo jumped down screaming and Wiz soon followed him trying to shake a little white monkey-like animal off his back. "Aaah! Get it off! Get it OFF!" he screamed somewhat hysterical. Memo picked the little animal and threw it before closer examination up to the tree. The throw wasnīt long enough, and the little animal seemed to drop again. Then it was surronded by a bright light and it flew on his own to the tree, looking unhappy. Wiz and Memo looked up speechless. "So...weīre in here then." Memo stated after a while, with a fake-calm voice.

"Yeah I guess so." They looked each other. "My name is Memo, nice to meet you." He shaked hands with Wiz, "My name is Wiz, nice to meet you too. Do you know where we are?" Memo sighed and answered, "No I have absolutely no idea." They started to walk and soon they started talking about nonsense things, trying to keep each other and themselfes unworried and awake . They decited to spend the night there, without campfire, because they didnīt know were the trees really trees or just something else pretending to be a tree. Besides, it was very bright at nights, mainly because of four big moonīs floating in a night sky full of stars yet unknown. They sat down leaning against a tree, but they couldnīt sleep. "Hey Memo?" Wiz said. "Yeah?" Wiz took his bag and started to look what was in it. "I just thought, where are the others?" He took all what was inside it and put it to grass. "I donno where they are, Wiz, but they are maybe lookin' for us right now. Should we go after them too?"

"No, itīs just better someone stays at one place, or we all start to go in a circle never finding each other."

"Youīre probaply right." Memo and Wiz started to examine the inside of their bags. " There is...grey clothes, something like xxxl-size, and then thereīs a can of beans, maches, and...some rope, and something...er, I donīt know exactly."

" Thatīs called melted chocolate, I think. Can of beans?" Wiz looked at the can and shaked it, "how do we open these?"

"I have a knife, we can use it." Memo took a fine looking, small knife out of his pocket. "Cool! Where did you get it?" Wiz tried to take the knife, but Memo put it back to his pocket."It was my friend's. He gave it to me, and I consider this knife very dear to me, so donīt even think of stealing it, or I cut your throat."

Wiz almost laughed before he realised Memo was serious. Memo tried not to hit himself. "..."

"I guess I wont steal it, then."

"Very good decision, indeed."

Mei flickered her eyes again and again, until she was sure she was awake, though she would prefer not to. She rose up, trying to clear her mind. Mei looked around, but didnīt see much. It was dark, she was under something. Suddenly she heard something from her left, and quickly pulled herself down against the caveīs wall. Mei heard something, like talking and tried to crawl closer to hear more.

"Iīm sure one of them dropped some where near..." Mei didnīt recognize the voice and she tried to find something useful to fight with. She found a proper-sized stick and grapped it. The voices stopped outside and suddenly she heard someone run closer. Then it went all silent again and after a quiet second she heard little voices further. She managed to peek through the caveīs enter. It was night, but very very light, and one glance to sky shoewd why.

* * *

"Well, it looks like itīs gonna rain, so I think we should spend the night in here."Memo pointed at the cave. "OK, whatever." Wiz shrugged. Memo looked at him, and cursed himself for saying stupid things before. "Wiz..." The boy in question didnīt hear him, he just went inside the cave. Memo stayed outside, sad, but quickly went in after hearing Wiz yell in the cave. He just got inside in time to see Mei smiling malicious smile and offering an apology to Wiz who was on the floor, rubbing his head. Memo was glad to see he didnīt look angry. "Mei!" he said. Mei also noticed him and came to hug him in amazement. "Memo! Iīm so glad youīre here." Wiz looked little confused, "You two know each other?" Memo grabbed them both outside so he could introduce them to each other. "Wiz, this is Mei, if you remember, and Mei, this is Wiz. Now you know also." Wiz and Mei shook hands, and Wiz said

"So...why did you hit me with a bick stick Mei?" Mei threw the sick away, "First, I didnīt know who was coming. Second, just a moment before you guys came I heard someone saying 'It dropped here', and it wasnīt either of you." Wiz looked around, " Maybe it was one of the other ones, you know, the silent or the leader?" Memo looked at him, "Wii-iiz. We call him silent 'coze he canīt speak."

"Oh. Well then it has to be the leader."

Mei raised an eyebrow, "The leader?"

"Oh cīmon Mei, Jii...Whatīs his name again?"

"Jikeru."

"Yeah Jikeru, he canīt be the leader, because, well, he canīt speak and he's a freak, we two canīt be 'coze weīre too young, and you canīt be 'coze youīre a girl!" He quickly ducked the bag Mei was throwing, and it hit Memo. "Itīs true! You think ...?"

"Tenka." Memo said, glad for having his good memory. He thought, but soon was waked by their noisy fight.

"Tenka would never let you lead? Let a girl be the leader ? Think again!" After throwing several more stuff for him Mei was too exhausted to kill him more, so she quitted it and leaned to a tree. "You know Wiz, youīre just those people who say things before think it first. Youīre just making things up! Maybe your 'leader' is a complite dork, and maybe he doesnīt even want to be a leader! What do you say then, mister smart-ass? Then I guess the stripe-head can be the leader! Ha! The bastard can lead us all to the closest swamp!" Memo stared icely."That what ?" Wiz shrugged, "You heard what she said. And itīs probably true in his case... please donīt tell me that equality'n' freedom crap, I donīt want to hear it, okay?" Memo couldnīt beliwe his eyes and ears. "Iīd never beliwe that from you two. Really, he should have the same rights as we do, but no, you idiotic morists are always there to stop the right things happening! Oh, and did you know that Kenta Mori has been dead over six hundred years now? He died -so if he would be so special, heīd still live wouldnīt he? But he wasnīt special, just a screw-up man who went crazy in the age of 38 and jumped through the goddam gate! Heīs really the reason we even are in here!" Wiz attacked straight to Memo but Mei separsted them harshly."Stay." She commanded Wiz and put him 5 meters from Memo. Then she pulled Memo up and catched him from the collar. "Whatthe-"

"Shut the fuck up, Inajan."

"And listen. You know that Tenka is morist, and I know too. And I also know heīs gonna be our leader, if we find him and if heīs alive. And when weīre all back together, I donīt want to hear any of this from you, understand? I can take it, no problem at all, but he canīt-" she pointed Wiz-" and Tenka canīt. Iīm sure Jikeru understands too that if weīre not together as a team, we maybe are in deep shit, know what I mean?" Memo nodded and Mei let go. "Okay, now we have dealed with our first problem, and on this rate weīll kill each other before dawn. I would really like if weīd leave this whole goddamn subject out of our conversations, so everything would be easier." Memo was still angry, and Wiz was too, but they were both too tired to fight anymore. "We spend the rest of the night in the cave, everyone agrees to sleep in same cave with a girl?"

"Shouldnīt we take nightwatches? If thereīs really someone out there, it would be easy kill us while we sleep." Memo suggested.

"Yeah, good idea Memo, Iīll take the first watch okay?" The boys agreed and tiredly went back to the cave. Mei sat down on to a rock, and took a pencil and a small note-book out of her pocket. She wrote,

'First day in somewhere, donno where but if thereīs some life in this place weīre sure gonna find out soon. Itīs night, and itīs warm (something like 21 celsius) and itīs bright 'coze thereīs three moons in the sky. So we canīt be on Mars, as I first thought, when I only saw two of 'em. Weīre not in any place I know, and thatīs in other Universe.

Now Iīm with Memo and Wiz, and we donno where the others are. I have also no clue why we got splitted at the first place. I hope the others are all right.' She stopped writing suddenly, and quickly put the pencil and the note-book back to her pocket. "Wiz!" she shook the boy gently, "Wiz, wake up!" The boy moaned and woke up, "What...Mei? Whatīs wrong?" He got up and looked outside, "Gosh is it my watch already? I could swear I only slept two seconds." Mei shook her head, "Wiz listen! There has to be logic in it!" She glanced at Memo who was still sleeping, "And wake him too."

"What are you talking about?" He said, at same time as he softly kicked Memo up. "What logic?" She wasnīt listening either of them, and Wiz sighed. "Listen guys, can you show me where you...er, fell?"

Memo raised an eyebrow. "We fell?"

"You know what I mean."

"Alright we know, but is this necessary? In the middle of night? "

"Yes!" Mei shouted, but then went quiet. She looked odd."Guys?"

"Yeah, Mei? Something wrong?" Memo asked politely. She shooked her head, "Funny thing... like someone had shouted 'Tenka!'" Memo looked fustrated. "Mei, we didnīt hear it, whatever it was. Can you please now continue so we can sleep a bit this night?" Mei looked uncertain, and then they all heard a now recognizeable. "Tenkaa!"
