| Omaha Air Force Station 789th ACWS |

| This station, operated by the 789th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron, was run by the Air Force from the early 1950's on into 1968. Two generations of radars served here and were of the height-finding and ranging variety. More information is given at www.radomes.org/museum The site was also home to the headquarters of the 6th Missile Battalion, 43rd Artillery operating the nearby Nike missile batteries. This joint operation lasted from 1960 until 1966 when the last Nike site closed. |
