| There is not much known about this site due to the fact that it was never built. In the late 1950's the Air Force planned to install long range radars at a site probably North of the town in Southeastern Nebraska where elevation was slightly higher. This station probably would have served as a early warning station for Richards-Gebaur AFB interceptors, which was near Kansas City. Its data would of been relayed to SAGE centers. Early on this would of first gone to Olathe, KS and later on to the SAGE center in Sioux City, IA. It was planned to be built but was cancelled before ground breaking could even have taken place. |
