My Blog
This blog has been added to my website so that I can let people know about my progress. See my website for details.Entry for November 1, 2007
When I originally created this website, I had not yet figured out how I was going to get people to see it. So, it wasn't until after I had built the website that I decided to create a YouTube Channel to attract visitors to the website.
However, I have since decided that the original page looks a little cheesy. I have have hundreds and hundreds of nasty YouTube comments, emails and IM's from people. I believe that this is probably because they're not reading the web page in full. I can tell that his is the case, because time and time again, people are asking me things that have already been stated on the website, or are making comments that are contrary to what I have posted on the website.
Therefore, in light of the above I have decided to recreate the page to be a little more clear for those that do not know what a "next" button my imply. I will save the original web page that I crafted (unedited) as original.html and I will create a new web page for the actual website.
I do hope that I'll receive the help I need. I know that it's a long shot and I know that it's hard for people to trust that what I am saying is true, because I have not put my face or name online. But the simple fact of the matter is that I don't feel comfortable doing that, because once I add my face and name to any website online, it's there for good and I wont be able to take it back.
What's important is the situation that I am facing, not my face. So many people are saying that I am a scammer. But seriously -- how on earth can I scam someone with what I am doing? All I have done is explain my situation on a website and promote it on YouTube. One guy thinks I am trying to get people's usernames and passwords with a PayPal donate button. This is utterly impossible. If you view the HTML source (if you know how to read HTML), you'll see that they're all legitimate PayPal URL's.
I am not asking for email addresses. I'm not asking for personal information. I am not asking for credit card numbers or addresses. I merely have a PayPal button on my website and I am asking for people to donate "small" amounts of money. On my website (the original version), you'll see that I was originally asking for THIRTY CENTS or even five dollars. Yeah, real scammer. Quick, call the Russians -- call the Globe, this guy has got to go DOWN before it's too late!
So seriously, please, if you think I am a scammer, just shake your head real fast until the other side of your brain kicks into gear. I am not a scammer. I am just some guy doing everything possible to dig myself out of a really tough situation. If you want to hate me for that, then I submit to you -- that you probably have more problems than me. But in any case, I don't need your comments, emails or IM's telling me about how much of a *BEEP* I am for trying to find a way out of a difficult time in my life.
Also, WHO I am and what I look like is just not important. What difference does it make where I live, what I look like or what my name is? What difference does it make to "you"? If I put a name online, how to you know that is real anyway? I could say my name is Thomas Jefferson. Would you know the difference? I could say I was hatched under a rock on mars and I am 350 years old and my mothers name is Vortex. Would that help you out any? My point here is that it doesn't make a rats difference what my name is or what I look like. The important thing here is that 1). I am NOT a scammer, and I am obviously not, and 2). It's my situation that should be highlighted here. Not my face.
However, I may be willing to have a video chat with someone that I trust in future and even tell them who I am if I trust them. But right now, at least half of the YouTube visitors that have been responding have been nothing short of EVIL to me, and they've got a fat chance in hell of knowing who I am. I'll be putting up with it online for years. So, if some people wont help someone unless their ego is stroked, or unless they get a personal pat on the back or some other reward such as respite for curiosity, that's not my problem and I am not going to make it my problem.
I'll post more real soon. I am going to go and recreate the website and move the original page to original.html -- If it's not working when you click on it, then I'm just not finished. But I should be finished an hour or so after adding this blog entry. So try again in an hour or two. But for the majority of people, the page will have been made by the time you read this post.

Questions Answered As this website has grown from the single page [ see the original ] to an actual website that has a blog, questbook, navigation menu, etc -- I
find that more and more people who see my YouTube channel
are making the same comments over and over. If you have a question or feel that you can offer me some advice,
please see the page where I have logged all advice given as well as the responses to all questions asked. I
hope that this helps my YouTube channel from becoming the same comments and responses over and over again:
Questions Answers and Responses to Advice.
The Story So far: The best way to get the full story on why I created this website and the YouTube Channel would probably be to start from page one of the comments. I have deleted hundreds of nasty comments, and also dozens of repeat comments, as well as repeat questions. So the comments section on my channel is moderated and kept clean: Comments. You can also read the about page. The services page also offers an explanation into how I got to be in the predicament I am in (under web development).
