Black Russian Terriers
I acquired my first purebred, a female French Bulldog, at the age of 22. Then followed a female Old English Sheepdog.. It was then that begun my involvement with showing and breeding. Later on, a female Dogue de Bordeaux joined the family. After a brief "encounter" with Smooth Fox Terriers, I decided to get involved with the breed that was to become the love of my life, the Black Russian Terriers.
I am a founding member of many all-breed as well as individual breed clubs and an active member of the Greek Kennel Club. I've also sat at the Hellenic Old English Sheepdog Club committee.
I've been involved in a lot of dog shows and seminars and I've acted as Chief Ring Steward on numerous occasions. I' ve visited lots of important shows in Europe, including ?Crufts, European and World shows. The last five years I've acted as spokesman for various conformation shows and seminars.
Member of the Athens Canine Society committee since 2002, I am currently the club's General Secretary.
I've been following the Black Russian Terriers since 1997 and in 2002 I was fortunate enough to acquire my first specimen of the breed, a adorable bitch from the Italian kennel "Marabunta", named "Raissa".
One year later, I imported yet another bitch, "Brenda's Company Garmoniya", from Estonia. Living with these two wonderful ladies made me fall in love with these incredibly brilliant and tender companions.
The decision to dedicate my life to the breed, led me to the acquisition of another couple from Italy. I got a dog, "Morgan", from the "Marabunta" kennel and a bitch, "Ciuffo Ribelle Querida Marabunta".
These are the foundation dog and bitches that I hope will lead to the realization of my dream; breeding, showing and making a mark in the most wonderful breed of dog, the Black Russian Terriers.
