| This is a classic movie of the 80's, one that Kiefer Sutherland became really famous for. Another of my favourite movies, it stars Wil Wheaton as Gordie Lachance and River Phoenix as Chris Chambers. So, what's it about? Based on the Stephen King novella 'The Body', four boys - Gordie and Chris, accompanied by their friends Vern Tessio (Jerry O'Connell) and Teddy Duchamp (Corey Feldman) - find out that a gang of bullies know where the body of missing kid Ray Brower is. It's Chris who decides that they should go looking for the body, so the boys devise a plan and set out to find Ray. Led by Ace Merrill (Kiefer), the bullies go out to find Ray, as well. Neither group knows that the other is also out there, with their eyes set on the same prize... This is definitely a great movie, compiling humour, adventure and friendship into a couple of hours' entertainment! |
