Extra Credit Opportunities

1. Any of the Hill Aerospace Museum "Plane Talks" [usually offered Saturday afternoons at 1 PM] are acceptable for extra credit.

7. On Tuesday, 13 October, at 7 PM in Lindquist Hall on the campus, Dennis McNally, the publicist for The Grateful Dead will speak on "A Long Strange Trip: My Life With The Grateful Dead." Acceptable as an extra credit opportunity.

8. On Wednesday, 14 October, Vietnam war POW Jay Hess, of Kaysville, will speak at the Golden Hours Center, 650 25th Street, Ogden, at 9:30 AM on his experiences. He was a pilot who spent six years as a POW. The event is open to the public and you may use it as an extra credit opportunity if you wish.

5. On Wednesday, 11 November, at 2 PM in the WSU Hurst Center [just east of PT Towers], Dr. Michael Ballam will speak on "The History of Opera in Utah."

6. On Monday, 16 November, at 7 PM in the Alumni Center [just west of PT towers], W. L Rusho will speak on "The Disappearance and Discovery of Edward Ruess."

Reading Assignments:

For Friday, 2 October, please read the first ten amendments to the US constitution [the Bill of Rights], and read in Ravitch, pp. 71-76.

For Wednesday, 7 October, please read in Ravitch, pp.79-83.

For Monday, 12 October, please read in Hollinshead, pp. 65-79.
