Over the
years I have had many different hobbies. The most exciting one was caving.
I started out exploring horizontal caves and eventually worked my way
up to exploring vertical ones. I have always been fascinated with exploring
the unknown. I guess it kind of made me feel like Alan Shepherd or Neil
Armstrong. This was especially so when I started with the vertical caving.
Hanging off a 600 foot rope with nothing but pitch black all around
in every direction makes you feel like you are in space. Some of the
things I have seen still amaze me. Although I have not been able to
do as much caving as I used to, I hope to return to the north Georgia
area soon so that I may continue my hobby.
