DS or PSP?

This article compares the original Nintendo DS, not the DS lite to the Sony PSP.
The other day on the bus, I saw a kid I knew with a PSP. Before I go on, I'd like to add that I myself have a DS and have had it since July. Anyhoo, he let me play it because he had other stuff to do, I was in the seat in front of him, and I was the last off, but he was second to last. Now, the game was 'Namco Museum' for PSP. Now, I noticed that the PSP has the /\ \/  > < buttons, and the square, circle, triangle, and X buttons. But it also has a small, flat, grooved analog stick that hurts your thumb a little. Now, the PSP itself was ok. But mostly, it was the game I was playing that was fun. The wireless needed a hotspot or another PSP for wireless. Internet needed just the hotspot. Besides that, it playes the few UMD movie disks made, not DVDS. Worse yet, only the very best movies are going to be made for UMD, and you'll already have the cheaper DVD by then. It also plays music and shows pictures, but the iPod Nano can do that for a little cheaper and holds many more music and pictures. But it is still pretty nice. The graphics are nice, yes, but the load time, you heard me, load time is often a while. So, to summarize, if you get one don't turn it down, but also keep in mind, PSP games are more expensive than those for the DS.

I have a DS. It has two screens, one is touch sensitive, the other is normal. It comes with a stylus, which is like a pen w/o ink or even the ballpoint or a cap.The DS has the Conrol pad, Start & Select, A, B, and something new, X and Y. Like a Gamecube. And of course, L & R. The DS is cheaper, and though it only plays DS and GBA games (It won't play GBC games. They don't want the SP to be obsolete, so you have to play color games on that. Plus, there are new colors out for SP.), there are more of those two types (Nintendo is still making GBA games). It also has something called Pictochat, which lets you communicate with other DSes. Good for next door/across the street neighbors, since it can connect as far as 100 feet. It also has download play, which is like turning on your SP w/o a game in. The DS also features a microphone, and uses the cartridge, so you don't need memory sticks or anything to store your data like you need to for PSP. The DS has two slots, the top for DS games (small rectangles like microchips, only a little thicker) and GBA games (come on, you know what that looks like). So, you get a little less features for a lot less cash.

So, anyway, the DS is better. It has different features than the PSP, but better ones. Not like internet (PSP) which needs a wirless hotspot. Or music and pictures, where an Ipod is smaller and holds more of each. The DS does have a single downside, though. Not many people have them (I do. If you do or don't have one, sign my guestbook by just looking past the end of this paper). This is because lots of people have the ridiculous idea that you have to look at two screens at once. No, this is not true. This is garbage. One screen will often display something like a map (super mario 64 DS) or maybe more controls than just the buttons (Metroid Prime: Hunters & Spider Man 2). Not that many people like Spider Man 2. Other games, both screens might be like one huge screen; your character is only on one at a time. But there is a solution: buy a DS! The more people have them, the more people will have FRIENDS that want them. If you've actually read this whole thing, give yourself a pat on the back.
