Solarea smiles at her, "Well, I thank you for that. . ." She spins to face Niaril, her eyes narrowing, "If you are wise enough to know what I am, you would be wise not to spread it. I have not seen another in more years than I can count, and the hunters are ever on me." She moves closer to him, letting the fire flare and ripple around her freely, "Which would you be? Hunter? or friend?" Her anger since arriving is still leashed but narrowly so.
Niaril merely laughed at the woman's rashness, a content sigh passing over him as he looks up almost searching his memories "Ah, you remind me of her...fiery temper...I only wonder..." he cut himself off with a coy grin before tilting his head back down, the energy still extending from his glowing eyes "I have no reason to go spreading the fact there is a pheonix in the lands...as for me? Well, I am merely a humble empath, here to protect...help, and serve in any way I can. Mostly by healing, since if you say you have been around that long, then you know of empaths? I serve the goddess Yvollne. But hunter? Only of vampires, and friend? well, You tell me"
Frannie has to go. She smales once more at Solarea, "It was an honor to meet you. Hope to see you around." She waves goodbye.
Flash_Guardian does not enter the Garden ... rather he is already here. He has been, in fact, for quite some time. Hours, days ... who knows? All this time he has spent sitting beneath the willow tree, cross-legged, hands resting on his knees, eyes closed, a look of total concentration on his face. He hasn't eaten. He hasn't slept, as far as anyone is aware. Perhaps no one has noticed him, secluded as he is. Perhaps he is searching within himself for some intangible point. Only Flash himself has the answers ...
Solarea 's eyes search his face, the flame seems to fluctuate and fade, she bows her head to him, "Yes, I know of empaths, but pay little attention to gods and goddesses anymore." She closes her eyes, the wings on her back becoming engulfed in flames then vanishing wwhen her ember eyes flick open, "I appreciate your silence and also your friendship if you find that suitable to you." She turns her face up to the sky, and sighs, "How long ago was it since you last saw one?"
Niaril yawns slightly, eyes turning back to the pond, he never actually turned to view the woman, but somehow she might be able to feel his eyes upon her. He sighed slightly, in his state of nostalgia and he shrugged, "A thousand years since She and I-" he chuckled again, stopping himself. He shivered again closing his eyes, the energy and glow from his eyes being trapped behind his closed lids.
Solarea sighs out a long breath, "A thousand years . . ." She turns away from him, her light steps falling softly across the stones, flame still flickered in her hair. She pauses next to a bed of indian paintbrushes, just staring at them. "I take it you were close to her. Do you mind me asking what happened to her?" She rotates on the balls of her feet to look at him again.
Niaril shrugs with a chuckle, he seemed to enjoy these memories. His head finally turns toward the woman, tiliting to the side just slightly "Aye, we've had some...very close moments if you will. As far as I know she still lives, back in Ta'illistim where I had once lived with her in company of the elves. They all passed on to their havens, and I had no one left to serve. Though I hear a new group of elves have settled there." He nods to the woman once more, turning his eyes back out onto the pond with a content sigh.
Juliet wanders slowly through the center of the garden, softened soles of pale shoes silencing each step. The silvery glow of the moon is shattered and reflected in all directions through the diamond cross at her chest, perhaps casting a glint or two upon any near enough. The shadows darken the shade of her hair, giving it a toasted brunette appearance. Upon approaching the central fountain, she slows and pauses just before it, smiling in content to herself to gaze upon the incessant ripples in the water.
Flash_Guardian is still sitting in the shadows created by the willow tree's curtain of leaves, meditating silently.
Solarea smiles brilliantly, she nods her head to him, "Thank you, that gladdens my heart immensly to know there may still be another of my kind lurking somewhere." Her eyes flick over to the girl standing near the fountain, then away again. Addressing Niaril, "My name is Solarea, and thank you for your knowledge, again. I'll let you be in peace now, if you like." She turns back to the flowers, hesitant to actually touch them, her track record in torching things today was way too accurate.
Niaril turns his head back to the woman with a nod, holding out his hand, if she were to take it in meeting, "Niaril, and fear not, there are still many of your kind living, this knowlege I can share. How many around here, I do not know. And, my peace has already been broken, I see no reason for you to leave my presence" He grins, his glowing eyes seem to look her over, as if he was wondering something, slowly narrowing his eyes just slightly.
Solarea turns back to face him as he offers his name, she moves to place her hand in his, shaking it slightly but firmly, she cracks a grin, "Odd human greeting, I think I prefer the star elven way of greeting." She considers taking a seat next to him until she catches the slight narrowing of his eyes, her eyebrow rising in a silent question.
Juliet steps forward and shifts to sit upon the edge of the stone fountain where the edge is flattened as a bench. A small book she'd been hugging to her chest is lowered, a slender piece of dark coal slipped from a binding. Her gaze narrows a slight and drifts through the garden, just barely making out the pair nearby. She chooses them as a subject, and begins to sketch slowly on a blank page. First, the outlines of the shadows and their forms, followed by the rough sketch of their surroundings - a lovely sketch it would become with some work. In silence, she continues to work, dirtying the tip of her ring digit as necessary to blend the delicate strokes of black into the textured parchment.
Flash_Guardian sits quietly as a light breeze begins to drift lazily past his willow tree, causing the leaves to ripple and sway ... small cracks of silvery moonlight may illuminate the meditating form of Flash as he sits underneath the tree, eyes still closed, mind still struggling with itself.
little_half~breed_kodora she sits on a branch of the willow tree, and in a rather comical fashion she swings herself down, now hanging upside down on the branch sitting in a crouched type cat postion " hey flash" she said in a rather flat, yet not morib tone.
Flash_Guardian doesn't seem to move ... rather his forehead wrinkles slightly, and he lets out a short, low grunt of acknowledgement.
little_half~breed_kodora she looks at him and swings back up and onto the ground. she crawls over and sits by him, looking up " whats wrong?" she said in a rather pouty voice, her lower lip poking out a bit.
Solarea pokes Niaril with her foot, checking to see if he'd fallen asleep, she then moves a bit to watch Juliet draw, unsure if she minded being the subject of her drawing.
Flash_Guardian inhales slowly and inaudibly ... barely noticable. There is a prolonged silence. ... ... ... ... ... Just when Kodora can't seem to take the quiet, Flash answers her, short and to the point. "This is difficult."
[little_half~breed_kodora] " whats difficult, wahts wrong. why are you so quiet.. please tell me?" she was worried about him, and really couldn't seem to keep silent, which, depending on who yo uwere ,could get on your nerves. she thoguht for a moment, then rather blantent question came to mind "... it's about jester isn't it?"
Fialea trudges out into the pouring rain, soaked through to the skin instantly. She stops, just a few feet beyond the door, and stands aside, arms crossed and shivering.
Flash_Guardian again breathes in, audibly this time, a calming breath to steady his nerves and awareness. It was clear that a short explanation would not do. Trying his best to keep his focus, he answered Kodora in slow, well-thought out speech. "This has nothing to do with Jester. I fought with someone else, and they discovered a weakness in my defenses. Psionics. I am currently trying to ... reawaken my mental defenses."
Solarea moves over to abench and settles comfortabley on it, not wanting to be quite so close to the fountain. She watches the others and starts to hum to herself.
Juliet 's gaze lifts upon noticing the woman has moved, and she offers a warm smile to her. (?) Her sketch is very accurate, but details are left out - it is simply a lively sketch of the surrounding gardens in all their moonlit glory and two random figures lost amongst the thickness of the shadows. Carefully, she returns the slender stick of coal to its place and folds the book closed once the woman has gotten a decent look at it, assuming she did. Juliet lowers her hands into the water by her side and carefully rubs away the black dust.
little_half~breed_kodora she sighed softly and snuggled up against his. worried about flash, deeeply. she hoped her snuggling him would help, but she wasn't sure how much. ".. i'll protect you" she said softly. though she knew she couldn't fight very well, she hoped it would help him otu a bit.
Fialea backs up to the stone wall, but the eaves are too high above, and too narrow to offer any shelter. It clearly would do no good to press her back to the cold stone wall, so she merely drops into a crouch, head bowed, and shivers on uninterrupted.
Flash_Guardian feels the young cat-demon at his side ... and actually seems to crack a small smile, just at the corners of his lips. The wrinkles on his forehead fade slightly as he continues his meditation.
Solarea would have admired Juliet's picture before moving over to the bench, but is now going to go find a nice comfy place to curl up and sleep, "Goodnight."
little_half~breed_kodora she smiles softly, as he smiles. ".. why arn't you talking to me?.." she puffed out her cheeks, not liking to be ignored.
Flash_Guardian sits quietly for a time, palms up and resting on his knees. Her words are true - Flash's silence is rather uncharacteristic of him socially. He sought out a simple way to make her understand. "How do you build a castle, Kodora?"
Juliet sighs quietly to herself while carefully rubbing the black from her digits and palm in the fountain's pool. The moonlight catches the diamond cross once again, and again shattering, bending, twisting the once-reflected light into several smaller rays which may slice through the shadows near her. Softly, she begins to hum a slow, harmonious tune to herself.
little_half~breed_kodora she blinks for a moment at the odd question " how the hell should i know" she quirks a brow at him. she thought for a moment and nodded ".. well supplies iguess would be bamboo, taricotta[sp?], umm cobble stones, paper, cloth, rocks and dirt?" she sounded unsure of herself. She was refering [sp?] to the castles of the western lands, the japanese and chinese styl, which are the only ones she knew of. she had never seen a european dtyle castle, or even home or city.
Flash_Guardian nodded slowly. "And how long does it take to build one?"
Juliet rises after rinsing off her hands and turns to pad slowly towards the garden's entrance. As before, each step is silent, and she hugs the sketchbook to her chest as though it were a delicate treasure.
Fialea can barely hear kodora's babble over the incessant white noise of the rain; Juliet's humming may as well be in another world, for all that reaches Fia.. a pity, for she could use the cheer.
Fialea looks up at Juliet walks past, a mere glance. Clutching the sketchbook close, of course, to protect it from the rain. Another pint of guilt. Marvel.
little_half~breed_kodora she thinks for am oment " by yourself or with help?"
Flash_Guardian replied in a voice full of meaning. "By yourself."
[little_half~breed_kodora] "forever?" she gve a simple answer, not really knowing how long it would take.
Fialea gives up waiting, turns and goes back inside. She can't be expected to stay out in the rain all night... can she?
Flash_Guardian was slightly startled by Kodora's answer, his neck straightening ever so slightly. His face, expressionless as it once was, took on a hint of hopelessness as he answered her. "Exactly. Now imagine trying to do the same exact thing ... but in your mind."
[little_half~breed_kodora] " you can do anything in your mind. nothing is impossible there. sadly reality is different. reality, always poses dificulties and extreme limitations. but in your mind, yo ucan do anything" she nods. her asnwer plain and simple. little children were often smarter and cleaer in their answers than the magnificent scholars of the times.
Flash_Guardian again smiles and actually chuckles lightly, still managing to maintain his concentration. "Yes, but ... the difference is that ... my castle has to be more than just imaginary. It actually has to work. It needs to keep other people's minds out ... and my mind and body safe. I'm not sure how long it will take ... to build this mental fortress of mine," he explains slowly, "but if I lose concentration now ... I'll have to start over from the beginning. That's why I picked this spot ... quiet ... secluded ... peaceful."
little_half~breed_kodora she sighed sadly : " well.. it's been nice knowing you then" she stood up and looked at him for a moment, and began to walk away, her back to him , sadly shuffling away, her ears lowered.
Flash_Guardian was saddened by Kodora's departure ... but it was for the best if he was ever to finish his task. He returns his mind full force to that spark which lingers in the back of his mind, like an infant star just waiting for its first burst of light.
