[Triad ] While Flash continues to work hard, laying planks over the roof framework and hammering them down, a shadow begins to creep over the construction site as the sunlight is blocked from above. The sound of six powerful wind turbines can be heard, announcing the arrival of the one and only airship from the future known as 'The Triad.'
Devaine_Hawk walks along the land bridge , hands shoved in his pockets . Head down , lost in thought , he whistles a tune to pass the time , stopping to watch a familiar sight of dolphins playing in the bay .
Devaine_Hawk moves on , not wanting the incoming tide to catch him between the main land and the island . Moving up the beach toward the tree line , and the clearing beyond he hears the powerful wine of Triad s engines above , and glances up, waving to the sentient ship over head . Finally reaching the clearing where him and the others had been working on the Dojo, he spots Flash already hard at it and calls out a greeting . Stopping just shirt of the work area , he shrugs off his long coat, then shirt , reaching behind his back to place a small object on top of the coat /
[Triad ] Flash stops his work now to peer up at the Triad inquisitively. Aside from hovering over the beach of the island, the Triad hadn't been doing too much lately. Until now, it seems. The Triad continues to hover over the construction site, over all the trees, some two hundred feet up. As Flash watches, one of the rear hangar doors slowly winds up and opens, and something that is almost too small to see emerges. The round object falls dangerously at first, then seems to slow in its descent, small flames at either side of the object granting a slight upward thrust to counteract the unceasing pull of gravity. The object begins to drift lower, though it is still difficult to tell what it is at this point.
[Triad ] Flash responds with his own greeting, and a wave of his hammer in return, before looking back up at the approaching object. "Looks like we'll be having guests soon," he shouts over the noise from the powerful engines.
Glyniss_McMasters rolls over rolling her shoulders a little getting the kinks out of them as she sits up running fingers through her hair before reaching a arm outward to swoop up her stetson where she had placed it the night before. Head turning as she looks at the sun judging what time of the day it was...slapping the hat on her head she then reaches for then reaches for the brace and proceeeds to strap lock it in place...tightening it just right...
[Triad ] The round object at last seems to drop in altitude to where it is more readily visible. The object is metallic and hemispherical in shape, with two large eyes at its front and a multitude of tool arms descending from its underside. Sure enough, it's one of the Triad's maintenance drones. Just before reaching the ground, the powerful retros kick into high gear for a moment to rapidly slow the drone's descent before its levitation fully kicks in. A moment later, the retros shut down, and the drone at last turns to regard everyone that's nearby with a cheery and familiar alto voice. "Hey, guys! What's up?"
Devaine_Hawk glances up from his stretching , twisting his torso from side to side to limber up , shielding his eyes with one hand as the object descends . looks like .. he agrees . Reaching for a pail of nails and hammer of his own, he tucks the tool in his belt on his right hip, along side a thick black night stick like object that hangs from it as well. A matching one hangs from his left hip. Climbing a near by ladder to join Flash with the pail in new hand , he nods again still watching as the object closes in on the ground . This place is coming right along , next thing you ll have to start auditioning students for your school . . he waves back down to Glyniss , rise and shine there butter cup! he laughs . He swings his head around , eyes locking on the drone , the left one , being the almost neon blue one glows for a moment as he looks it over , and he recognizes the voice seconds after he recognizes the aura . Good afternoon, Lydia he laughs . Taking up sky diving ?
[Triad ] Flash grins merrily, waving to the robotic creature. "Hi, Lydia! To what do we owe the honor of your visit?"
[Triad ] Flash is standing on the roof of the west wing, where he's been hammering in broad, flat sections of wood to create a flat surface which the roofing will be laid upon. Incidentally, this makes it much easier to work, as there is plenty of flat surface up there to stand on now, with more on the way. Lydia now turns to look over at the dojo, inspecting everything with a wide, sweeping glance. "So this is what's been keeping everyone busy," she comments, sounding quite impressed. Her voice carries a sad tone as she adds in a softer voice, "Too bad so few of the Triad's crew survived to see it ... I'm sure they'd be impressed." She quickly perks back up, orienting her sensors now on the Triad up above. "Anyway, I'm actually down here to test a new upgrade we've recently finished aboard the Triad." Lydia falls silent now, her eyes flickering slightly as she communicates with the airship and its robotic crew.
Devaine_Hawk walks across the planks Flash already in place , and starts to work on the next piece of roofing . Absently stopping to scratch at the three day beard he seems to keep these days . Hammering away, he listens as Lydia speaks . I wish they could have too, more help he laughs , seemingly trying to lift the drones spirits . He looks around , watching clouds pass over head , and sweeping his eyes toward the beach and land bridge , searching all he can see to confirm that the area is still only inhabited by the few of them . He ha thought he d felt the briefest of odd auras flicker into being some where on the island . Shrugging , he goes back to his work . Glancing over at Flash again he starts to speak then stops , shaking his head , it can wait he decides .
[Triad ] Flash stops his work for a moment, watching Lydia and the Triad curiously. A moment later, Lydia seems to come around. "Holographic projectors are online, and signal boosters are in the green. Image display in five ... four ... three ... two ... one ..." The air next to Lydia seems to flicker and waver, becoming a scrambled mess of colors at first, but gradually seeming to solidify into another familiar shape ... it's Triad himself, though his image is slightly fuzzy and distorted, as well as partially see through. "Okay, it's a start, I guess ... now to see about calibrating the projectors. I knew the signal boosters would muck with the focus of the beams," Lydia grumbles.
Devaine_Hawk looks over to the boy, odd seeing him out side the ship , but good in a way. For some reason , even though Triad wasn t by any means a normal child Dev thought he needed to get out in the sun more ,not stay cooped up on the ship all the time . And now hearing Lydia s explanation it looked like he d found a way to do just that . He looks way then , wondering if the boy ship would still look at him the same way. After the time spent hooked up to the ship s interface Triad knew his past as well as Flash or the others . He lowers his head , and goes back to hammering nails, Good to see you Triad , like the great out side so far ?
[Triad ] More time seems to pass, and the image of the small boy seems to warp and distort in various ways, gradually edging its way towards his proper appearance. Flash continues to watch, thoroughly amused by this new development. "Looks like Triad's trying to leave the ship," he comments, grinning and tilting his head to one side. At last, the image seems to conform to the one of the boy seen before on the ship, though it is still partially see-through. "Alright, that's good enough ... time to bring the particle simulators online," Lydia comments mostly to herself, hovering in a slow circle around the unmoving, translucent image of Triad, her scanner dishes taking in mountains of data which is then fed back to the Triad's onboard computer.
[Triad ] Lydia pipes up at Devaine's comment. "Sorry, Triad doesn't have any control over the projected hologram just yet, Devaine. It's just a static mesh for testing purposes. One we finish testing, though, we'll turn things over to Triad and see how he likes it." Lydia returns to her work for a moment, then stops and calls back to Devaine. "Oh ... Triad says hi ... and that he can't wait to be outside." With that, Lydia continues focussing on the testing.
Devaine_Hawk watches Triad as he waxes andwanes , looks like all the bugs have yet to be worked out . Still following the line of nails , he wipes his brow and begins to whistle again . The same low eerily tune as when he d been crossing the land bridge . HE looks around again, glancing down to see what if any thing Glyniss was up to, and keeps the hammer in rhythm with his tune .
Triad 's unmoving image again flickers, seeming to gain slightly more solidity and fine detail. After a few more seconds, the fine-tuning seems to be complete as a full-fledged boy with white hair and dark grey clothing stands at the base of the incomplete dojo. Lydia laughs happily. "Great!" Slowly she reaches out one of her mechanical arms to gently nudge the figure, apparently pleased with the response. "Yep, he's solid alright. Even the textures came through okay. Alright, let's go ahead and turn Triad loose." Flash beams down at the pair, grinning and folding his arms. "Look out, world ... here comes Triad!" he jokes.
Devaine_Hawk watches as the form of Triad grows more solid , a slow rare grin coming across his face . Still hammering he looks over at Flash, with the grin on his own face almost like a proud father your little boy is growing up there Flash he jokes .
Triad shifts slightly, his image at last coming to life. He blinks, looks down, then up at the dojo, head turning this way and that. He lifts an arm, then bends it, wiggling his fingers ... then the other arm and hand, testing their full range of motion. When he is satisfied with that, he lifts first one leg, and then the other, wobbling from side to side slightly. At this point, a slow smile begins to creep over Triad's face. "It's working, Lydia!" the boy says in his flat, cheerful voice, turning to look at Lydia, who is currently bobbing up and down, eyes blinking excitedly. Flash's lower lip starts to quiver slightly. He lets forth a heavy sigh, having a mock look of sadness on his face. "My little Triad's growing up so fast," he says, his voice sounding melodramatically choked up. "Pretty soon he'll be chasing after the girls, and getting in trouble, and ... and ..." Flash now wipes an imaginary tear from his eye. "We're never going to see him again!"
Devaine_Hawk laughs , turning to glance out toward the beach and land bridge again . He knew he felt the auras of two familiar people this time no mistake about it . His left eye glows briefly as the connection is made and he identifies them . Blue and his lady friend are coming , be her soon he tells the others going back to hammering again.
Triad looks all around the clearing, then quickly turns to face Lydia once more. "Can I explore now, Lydia? Please?" he begs eagerly. The drone, Lydia, just laughs at him softly. "Go ahead," she tells him, "though I'm going to follow you around and take a few more measurements. So don't move too fast for me." Triad nods obediently, still smiling, as he begins to walk around the structure, his face turned down to look at the ground beneath his feet. "The surface here is eneven," Triad states matter-of-factly, arms held out to his sides slightly and walking slowly, as if walking on a narrow surface. Flash just shakes his head, and gets back to hammering with Devaine. "Nothing surprises you, does it?" he asks Dev.
Aislinn approached the water, looking across it to the island. Surprisingly they had not come at the direction of the bridge. Though this didn't seem to perturb the lady nor mare. She rode Cleome, with Ben on back. The maiden coughed a little, at his tight grasp around her waist. "Dear Benjamin...Cleome will not drop you..." She tried to remind him, gently, since his grip was crushing her a little.
[Triad ] Flash is hard at work on the roof of the dojo, hammering boards into place. A small mechanical drone, metallic and hemispherical in shape, with many mechanical 'arms' emerging from beneath it, is hovering just above the ground. There is also a small white-haired boy, wearing a dark grey outfit that covers most of his body, walking about. At the moment, the drone seems to be hovering just behind him and following him around. Up above, a large airship hovers just above the treeline, casting a shadow over the entire clearing.
BenjaminBlue indeed seems to be holding on for dear life, glancing to the shimmering waters below with wide eyes. His last experience on a horse was not a pleasant one. "I know, I know," he said with a rapid nod, feeling a sense of relief as the island started to come into view. "I just ride very poorly, you might say. It has not been my good fortune to have traveled on horseback safely." Ben loosen his grip a little bit, although he had been careful not to crush anything within the grasp of his gauntlet. "It will feel good to walk upon the ground again..." he reassured himself, closing his eyes for the rest of the trip.
Devaine_Hawk looks at Flash for a second . if he knew where the Eagles and most of my other gear is that sure as hell would surprise him or if he knew what I was thinking about doing he thinks . Then he answers every now and then , I surprise my self , he laughs and finishes driving the nail home . I think I ll climb down for a beer , the others are crossing the bay on that horse of hers , he tells Flash walking toward the ladder and then beginning to climb down. Some might wonder just how he knows so much about where they re ? Remote viewing, aura sight, intuitiveness , precognition, he has more than one ace up his sleeve .
Aislinn smirked a little, patting one of his hands that was gripped on her waist. Her other hand held Cleome's reins loosely. She didn't seem to share the same fear as he. But, the lady had been riding horseback for as long as she could remember. It held no skill for her, just something that came natural. "Then I will be your knight on my great steed and transfer my golden haired damsel quite safely to shore?" She teased, smiling as she did. Cleome, however, snorted, a little insulted by Ben. Synth, was perched on Aislinn's shoulder. The mare rode slowly, across the waters themselves. Her hooves across the liquid as if it was solid. They finally hit the shore, and Cleome came to a stop.
[Triad ] Flash nods to Devaine, and continues hammering. He seems to start whistling that same tune that Devaine was moments ago curiously, though he only manages a few bars before the rest of the melody escapes him. He simply shrugs and moves on. Triad, meanwhile, is quickly adapting to his new environment. He stops staring at the ground now and starts walking more normally, heading in the direction of the ladder; the drone, Lydia, is right behind him.
BenjaminBlue felt a slight change in smoothness as they his the shore, opening his eyes to see if they truly were on land again. With a sigh of relief, Ben hopped off Cleome walked around toward the front, bowing to their equine companion. "You have my thanks, Cleome. I would trust my life in the hooves of no other," Ben said with a cheerful smile as he offered a hand to help Aislinn down. "Damsel?" he remarked with some attitude. "Perhaps distressed, but ne'er a damsel. Although..." he hesitated. "Although I suppose you have grounds for such accusation with my blessing. Think of it as payment for the trip across," he said playfully with a smug expression on his face.
Devaine_Hawk reaches the ground , and walks over to the tub of ice Flash had made for the fish, the same one he used to chill his beer. That s Dev for you always thinking ahead like that . Pulling a bottle out he uses his teeth to pry the lid off , spitting it back in the tub, not wanting too litter up the island . Leaning his hear back he let s the dark golden fluid drain down his throat , then let s out a sigh of appreciation for the imported brew . That hit the spot
Aislinn placed her hand in his, though she dismounted with no help from him, really. The usual grace that came from her, as her boots hit the ground. The lady's gown and cloak flared before settling again. Cleome nickered at Ben's words, lifting her head, then settling it again. The woman smiled now. "She approved." Aislinn said, amused by the two. Those silken lips pulled more, as he continued. "Oh come now. I will be a great knight for you...and surely protect my golden damsel, aye?" Aislinn was enjoying teasing him. It was all in jest and good humor of course. Had she felt any discomfort, she would have ceased immediately. "Afterall, you did admit to powdering your nose frequently." Her golden red lashes winked to him, her hand still in his.
BenjaminBlue flagrantly dismissed her teasing with one hand and a taunting look. "Oh, pshaw..." he said in a lady like tone, laughing as he walked along the beach onto the grassy plains. He couldn't help glance up into the sky as he noticed the humongous shadow covering the construction site, forcing his jaw to drop a bit. "By the gods..." he said in awe. Ben rocked to a halt and looked over to Aislinn with a most confused and puzzled expression. "What do you suppose that is...? It's incredible."
Triad walks up to the ladder, staring at it curiously for a moment. He reaches out a hand toward one of the rungs of the ladder, but misses, his hand waving around through the air as he searches for what he can see but for some reason not reach. At last, his hand dips a bit lower, coming into contact with the wooden rung, and he grabs onto it. "It's so strange," the boy comments, a perplexed expression on his face. "I'm not used to maneuvering based on the details provided by my scanners at this range. Compensating ..." A slight pause, and then Triad hops up onto the ladder, grabbing the next higher rung with his other hand. "Yes, that's better." With that, Triad begins to climb slowly up to meet Devaine and Flash.
Devaine_Hawk climbs back up the ladder , beer still I one hand , and let s out a manly belch when he reaches the top . have to teach Triad how to do that some time he jokes with Flash before pulling his hammer back out of his belt and returning to his work on placing a plank .
Aislinn lifted her skirts a little now as they walked together, the mare in tow. Her boots dug into the sandy shore, then pushed across the plains. A warm smiled followed, as Ben played along with the teasing. But as his gaze went to the sky, hers soon followed as she heard him. "I honestly do not know. I had seen the same thing a few days ago, only. I have never seen a metal thing like that fly. Nor anything with that amount of metal. I find myself lost with a lot of this stuff." Indeed, she had not understood a lot of Cannon's technological chatter previously. This was similiar.
Triad is indeed an impressive sight, the way the sunlight shines and reflects off of its Carbonydium/Mithril hull, lending a mysterious shine to the airborne craft. And large would be an understatement, as the craft measures out at 550 feet from start to stern, roughly the length of two football fields.
BenjaminBlue stood in quiet though for a moment. Contrary to looking as if it looked like he were in the middle of a life and death situation, his demeanor seemed somewhat more composed and enchanted instead. This seemed to be very close to the same incidence when Blue had last rode a horse, laying eyes on another metal colossus. Supressing what fear he had of being hunted and possibly slain by the mechanical marvel, Ben put his free hand to his mouth and called out over the wind. "Sir Devaine?" the bard shouted, letting his voice echo into silence before he lowered his hand.
Triad quickly reaches the end of the ladder, at last coming into view of Dev and Flash. Lydia hovers up into sight just behind him. "Devaine!" she scolds the man. "I really see the need for Triad to learn how to ..." Just then, Devaine's belch is heard again ... coming from the small boy on the ladder, an exact duplication of the noise he had made. The drone, Lydia, just focusses her gaze upon Triad ... if her eyes were any more human-like, she'd be glaring. Triad ... simply blinks innocently.
Devaine_Hawk finishes the plank, moving on to the next one . He whistles under his breath as he works . Stopping he stares off toward the horizon for a minute or two before going back to alternating between swings of the hammer and swigs of the beer . Stopping again as he hears Blue calling him he raises his head to answer , at the site , we re up on the roof .. Or what will be the roof .. And stop calling me sir He turns to look at Lydia , holding one hand up against his face to wink at triad behind it and mouth the words good one before lowering it and asking the drone , what? while trying to look innocent .
Aislinn watched it silently for a moment, and as Blue called out, she was snapped out of it. Nothing sinister was sensed, at least for now, so she continued on... a little behind the bard now. The mare strolled along beside the maiden, and the bird was comfortably still perched on her shoulder. She did not seem to be anywhere without Cleome, and now, nor Synth.
BenjaminBlue lets go of what stress and worry he had with a hearty laugh, putting his hand to his mouth one more time. "Futile to ask of me!" he responded with some vigor, looking to Aislinn. "Well, we could wait here for them, but I would find it much better to join them up above. Synth, you, and I shouldn't have much trouble but..." Ben turned around and looked to Cleome, pointing to her with his thumb with a flick of his wrist. "Will Cleome be able to join us as well?" Ben asked the trio, not really sure what Cleome would be able to do.
PhorenNarqu wandered slowly, head aching like anything, a side effect of the mad caps he'd taken the night before. In his hand he still clutched the map, and he hummed a sad, mournful tune as he walked
Triad glances down at the place where the ladder meets the roof now, puzzling over how to move from one place to the other. At length, the image of Triad simply scatters and vanishes, only to reappear a few feet away as the small boy standing upon the roof, arms behind his back calmly. That aside, Triad slowly walks his way up to Flash, seeming to be much more at home upon a flat surface, even if it is slowly slanted upward. Lydia just 'glares' at Devaine in turn before watching Triad relocate himself. "Well, I guess that takes care of testing the holographic reload sequence ..." As before, Lydia hovers after Triad, seeming rather curious as to what Flash and Devaine are up to herself. Flash simply ... continues with his work distractedly, not having noticed much of anything that has been going on.
Aislinn looked to Cleome, who promptly gave a small snort. She had eyed the roof, and did not trust it. Afterall, she was a horse, and she did weigh more than them all. "I think she is satisfied to watch from below." She smiled, looking to the horse. The lady gave a good pat to her, before looking back to Ben. The mare would most likely wander off, looking for tasty treats.
Devaine_Hawk moves his eyes off again to the distance , there it was an aura ,on the island that hadn t been there before , he focuses his mind s eye , trying to remote view where he sensed it, and home in on who or what it belonged to . A different part of the inland comes to form in his mind now , showing him the man walking along , whistling or humming a tune . He d had an odd tune stuck in his head all day, and now this guy shows up with a tune all his own . Dev doesn t believe in coincidence .
BenjaminBlue smiled to Aislinn and gave a friendly nod to Cleome, seeming somewhat apollogetic that she couldn't join them. "Very well. Let us take the easy way up," said the priest, lifting both his hand from his side, leveling them with his gaze. Ben's eyes were completely focused in front of him, forming the shape of a triangle with his thumbs and both his index and middle fingers, curling the others up into his hand. " This will be much more difficult without music, but I would still like to try... " he thought to himself, shutting both eyes as he started to mutter something old, something ancient to himself as a slight breeze began to blow across the land.
PhorenNarqu continued wandering, and read the map. Now this was interesting. But his energy was still that of someone struggling to find sanity inside.
Triad turns now at the sound of others approaching the clearing. Immediately his face lights up with wide-eyed wonder as he sees something that he has never before seen in his two years of existence. "Lydia! Look!" the boy says, pointing to the horse, Cleome, as she wanders off in search of food. Without too much trouble, the mare may find her way to Flash's foodstuffs ... though nothing is really there that a horse would find tasty, save an apple or two. The drone turns to look at the horse for a moment, then over to the other pair of unfamiliar figures. "You have guests," Lydia would announce to the others on the roof. Flash at last seems to break from his focus, turning to look back at Lydia, his hammering swing stopping in the middle. "Wha-?" He blinks now, looking down below. "Oh. They're back."
Aislinn 's violet eyes gaze a little curious look. Would the ladder not be the easy way up? She stood there, watching him now. The words he uttered, while heard, were not undertood by the lass. She felt the breeze blow, the unseen wind grazing her face, causing those crimson spirals to flow about her slender body. The mare seemed alright, approving of Benjamin's politeness. She gave him a look, entrusting him to watch over her friend. The horse left, rooting for some tasty shrubbery. She would likely reappear when they were back on the ground, or if there was trouble. Until then, she left. Synth, still perched on Aislinn's shoulder, also watched the bard with a curious look.
[Aislinn ] Cleome looked over Flash's foodstuffs, contemplating the apples. But...she did know better, and soon trotted off to the fresh shrubs. Her tail swished back and forth, and she happily grazed at the flora.
Devaine_Hawk snaps back to the here and now , and his left eye that has been glowing , ceases to do so . Flash , this elf coming up the beach, he s not wrapped too tight, his aura is a mess , bad as mine he whispers . He slips the hammer back in his belt long enough to light his cigar , then retrieves it . Moving along his plank he glances down at Blue as a breeze pops up out of no where , some how he had a hunch he was the source . Calling over his shoulder to Lydia and Triad he jokes again , she s right, don t be acting like me , next thing you ll be drinking, smoking , cursing , and hanging out in strip club s
Alison lands here for a little rest she looks so saddend her untidy hair so messy and unkeept she waould look as she about to cry she folds her wings away and sits down alone looking to the water
BenjaminBlue continued quietly reciting the same bit of scripture over and over again in his head, twisting his fingers about until all of them would point towards the roof of the dojo. Ben had slightly bent the truth to be able to do this by suggesting this would be an easier route. It would be for the lady and the dove, but would prove more difficult for the cantor. Never the less, he still continued and focused his mind of the task at hand. " ~ O Lord... ~ " he began, opening his now amber eyes, staring intently towards the skies. " ~ O Heaven... I implore of thy aid in this task... Please bestow unto us what mark the angels with their divinity, the symbol of eternal freedom... Give us wings of purity and of love, so that we may ascend into the heavens along with thine other humble servants... ~ " No sooner did he say that did he cast his silver gauntlets towards the sky, unleashing a bright, perfect white beam of light which made everything else pale in comparison to its beauty.
Triad blinks at Devaine, obviously confused. "But I am not capable of ..." "Triad?" the robotic drone asks suddenly, her feminine voice sounding over a speaker to interrupt Triad. The boy now looks at the hovering mechanical drone curiously. "Yes, Lydia?" The feminine voice is heard sighing. "Never mind," she says, looking back to the two strangers down below and watching the curious reaction.
Aislinn watched Ben, truly awed at this sight. Her violet eyes widened as she saw the light pierce into the heavens. The lady found, she did not need to shield her eyes from it, the light having a perfect harmony with her vision. She did not say a thing, silently watching her dear friend. It was amazing, to say the least, to her.
Devaine_Hawk watches and listens as Blue prays . Eyes following the beam as it streaks heaven ward He holds his breath for a second, now there s faith in it s purest form, almost to bright and beautiful to look at he thinks. Turning around to look at Triad and Lydia , he raises his eye brow at the drone , what , never mind what ? he asks.
Triad , Lydia, and Flash all watch as the brilliant beam of holy light shoots up into the sky, each of them expressing awe in their own way: Flash with a grand smile, Lydia with eyes blinking, and Triad with that same boyish wonder as before when he saw the horse. The beam of light could probably be seen from anywhere on the island, even as far as the land bridge.
Alison humms to herslef as she closers her eyes and sees how her beloved temple was destoyed and operns her eyes quickly with a shock she sighed again looking down
BenjaminBlue stood for quite some time as he stared into the sky, his prayer climbing higher and higher into the sky to reach God. As the light seemed to vanish, carrying itself too far to be seen by mortal eyes, Ben narrowed his glare and thrust his arm towards the ground with a loud, reverant shout of, " ~ Amen! ~ " The priest held out both arms and twirled on one foot, almost rising off the ground as he figure twirled maybe a dozen times in one short second. Like snow gently falling from the sky, light sparkles of blue light carelessly floated down and covered the sky with a dazzling display of Heaven's grace. As the twinkles of light showered down upon everybody, each little sparkle would seem to melt and fill them with the warmth of Ben's blessing. If everybody would look behind them, all on this island would have a shimmering pair of wings to carry them through the air. As this happened, Ben kneeled to one knee taking heavy breaths. Although he seemed somewhat incapasitated, he had a small smile...
Alison looks a litte shocked to see holy energy going in to the air she desides to invistagete she spreads her angel wings and begins to fly around looking for the sorse of this energy wherever it may be this certainly was a big place
Aislinn looked up, to find the blue sparkling light floating down much like a feather towards her. She watched, not dodging it, feeling it kiss the tip of her nose. As it melted and filled her with such glorious warmth, her violet eyes gazed down at Ben. Crouching a little as she offered her hand. The other gently touching the crown of his head. She saw the wings on his back, but did not realize she currently had her own pair. "Incredible.." She whispered softly. "It seems we have a lot to learn of eachother, dearest friend." She said softly to him, still offering help to his feet.
Triad holds his hands out in front of him, looking through the air all around. His mouth moves to silently mouth the word 'wow', the holy energies seeming to pass right through the boy with no effect. Lydia, being a hemispherical metal drone with dozens of tool-arms dangling from her underside, is also unaffected ... she's already hovering as it is, with little need for spiritual wings. Flash, however, would look behind him at the strange, yet beautiful wings gracing his back, giving them a testing flit or two before chuckling, standing, and looking down to Blue and Aislinn on the ground below. "You could have just used either of the two ladders, you know," Flash would point out, laughing merrily.
BenjaminBlue would still be panting heavily as he glanced up to Aislinn, gratefully taking her hand in his with a weary nod. "I thank thee..." Ben stood on his feet like a who had no skill in using stilts would stand upon a pair of thin wooden planks, almost falling to his feet several times before locking his knees. "Well..." the bishop said with another breath. "I suppose that strikes one things off the list," Ben jested to her, motioning to the pair of wings which she did now possess.
Devaine_Hawk watches as the little sparkles drift downward , feeling them hit his bare back and chest . But be it a trick of his own mind , or some other more dark reason , he feels a chill instead of warmth, and shivers . Closing his eyes, the hammer stops in mid swing , and he thinks to him self . thanks for the thought there preacher man, but I haven t earned these , might not ever . He opens his eyes and looks down to where Blue is, catching his gaze as the wings on Dev s back that had started to take form shimmer and melt away. not your fault , just not ready for all that he calls to Blue .
Alison sees a few others with wings as she flys high above and begins to tilts her head as she looks down thinking to herself "angels here but why" she just allowed her self to stay up there looking curisuly at the groupe belowe her
Triad suddenly perks up, his gaze shooting skyward suddenly. "Someone else is in the air," he would say, pointing. "An angel girl." And sure enough the angel can be seen just above the tree line, though the massive airship parked over the clearing in which everyone currenly stands does block quite a bit of sight of the sky, so the angel may not be able to be seen, depending on where she is. Triad, however, can see her just fine.
BenjaminBlue turned his attention towards Flash and warmly waved to him with a wide smile. "That is a man's work. I think I will do it in a way most befitting to my character, yes? Or would you wish my hands to be toughened?" he laughed to himself. Ben was very happy right now, having successfully completed a pray without drifting off into another state of mind and being. "Practice makes for perfection..." Blue quietly said to himself cheerfully as he smiled to Aislinn.
Aislinn turned her head, her eyes widened as she saw them. A pair of beautiful pure wings spread wide, mirroring the purity in her heart. She stopped, and laughed a little, softly. Just in surprise, really. "I suppose it is.." The lady quickly wrapped an arm around his waist as she saw him stumble a few times. She did remember something his sister had said... about wings and Blue flying previously. It had something to do with Aislinn, but she had dismissed it at the time.
Alison seeing she has been seen befor she can work out if theses are good or bad people she begins to think fast then focosess makeing a very light white bliding flash infornt of her and flys much highter hopeing she was not seen going straite up white the flash was in effect she looked to the ground thinking she was hight enoth now
[Triad ] Flash chuckles to the priest who so recently uttered such a powerful prayer, the source of all the wings. "Somehow I doubt your one hand will get any tougher than it is now," Flash jokes lightly, indicating Blue's gauntlet with a subtle gesture. Upon hearing of an angel overhead, Flash's gaze turns to the sky, full of frantic expectation. "Excuse me," he tells his friends quickly before taking off into the air, seeming to do so with surprising ease, as if completely used to such travel. Admittedly, Blue's wings are much different than the ones he is used to, but Flash manages never-the-less to fly up in the direction that Triad points, moving through the air towards Alison with much haste.
BenjaminBlue finally steadied himself and straightened his posture, looking back his own wings for inspection. His pair would be slightly different from everybody else's wings, being covered with unblemished white feathers. After extending them to there limit, about ten feet from tip to tip, Ben pushed himself of the ground and slowly ascended into the air with only an occasionally flap of his wings. "Come Aislinn. Give them a try, won't you?" he called playfully down to her, pushing himself further into the sky.
Devaine_Hawk glances up briefly, at the angel before lowering his head and losing him self in the work again . Her aura was so bright it almost hurt to look at t her right on , and he felt guilty in the presence of so much goodness between all the others . He let the hammer fall back into it s rhythm , driving nail after nail, not looking back up . Sure he still believed in God , and they all tell him that The Big Man up stairs forgives him , but Dev still doesn t forgive Dev , that might take a lot longer .
Alison blinked at the person coming to her he was sure no angel she quickly unshethed her Angel Wing sword that had a white glow to it and she stood in a battle stand waiting for this arravil to make what ever move they were going to do
Aislinn seemed to be the only one who hesitated, that did currently have wings. Her arm let go as he took to the sky, now having steadied himself. "I...do not know.." She stayed on the ground, never having flown on her own. This was very new to her. Upon something that she could ride, she was used to. But flying with her own wings...made her a little uneasy. She watched Flash take to the skies, then Ben who began to fly further from her.
Triad simply turns to the drone next to him, eagerly asking, "Can I have wings too, Lydia?" Lydia merely replies, "Oh, hush you. What would you do with wings, anyway? You can already fly." The small boy frowns now, whining. "Awww ..."
[Triad ] Alison probably can't see much of the clearing down below from so high up, as the airship is parked directly over it, the airship being almost as large as the gap in the trees is. She would most certainly be hidden from the sight of those down below ... but not the airship, nor Flash as he flies up above the tree line. At the brilliant burst of light, Flash quickly manages to avert his gaze, hardly one to fall prey to one of his own favorite tricks. A grim look of determination meets his face now as he flies out from underneath the giant metal airship to glance upward into the sky, looking all around for the angel who must have been the source of the light.
Alison looks around and gulps considring flying away but she had already had a rather long flight she was to week for that pluse her Palidin pride would not let her do that her sword glowed a little more if any of them shows hostility she would not hesitate to use her blade
BenjaminBlue glanced back down to her and donned a mischivious smile, doubling back with a twist towards Aislinn. Ben would stop only a few feet from her with his arms crossed together, the same childish smile still there. "Would it be the case that our noble knight does not know how to fly?" Ben drew both of his wings back and fell beside her, extending them again as he would be about to fall past. "It is simple. Just choose where you would wish to go and they will take you there. The only thing that could possibly hold you back is yourself." Ben looped once in the air and seemed to lie on a cushion of air, both arms tucked behind his head as he flashed a smug, but thoughtful smile to Aislinn.
Devaine_Hawk glances around him as every one else rises . Turning to Triad , he smiles , tell you what I m going to do, just to make up for you not getting wings , I ll make you some thing he starts toward the ladder , and climbs down . Calling back up to the boy, you stay here with the others m and I ll bring it to you when I m finished . He walks to where he d left his pack , near a hammock stretched between two trees and then pulls out his old Marine issue K bar knife . Taking it he starts off to the trees glancing over his shoulder at the flash of light . oh well if Flash gets in a tumble way up there not a lot I can do from down here , hope him and the others can handle it he thinks . Slipping into the brush he starts to look around on the ground for some thing .
Aislinn looked to the sky, to the heavens with a soft sigh and a shake of her head at his arrogance. Though she laughed in mirth, finally. Giving him a little look, now. "Noble knights ride steeds afterall. They do not fly themselves. You may have called me the light, but I have never borne angelic wings." She started, rising a few feet off the ground. Hovering there, a little unstable for the moment. Her eyes looking down as she saw her booted feet lift from the ground. The glowing white gown and deep red cloak swaying about her. "Is it such a surprise I have never had wings? You can say my features are angelic all you wish...but that still makes me only a woman."
Triad suddenly looks slightly attentive over something, turning to the drone and waving a hand at her. "Lydia? Lydia?! The modifications a-a---rre-reee ...." The image of the small boy begins to scatter and distort into a rather blocky and choppy splay of colors, until eventually he simply vanishes from sight and sound. The drone lets out a sigh. "I guess those modifications still need some work." The drone now looks around to everyone. "Sorry I can't stay ... they'll be expecting me back aboard the Triad. Guess introductions will have to wait." With that, the drone fires her retros, small flames shooting forth from either side of the drone's hemispherical body as she slowly lifts up into the air, heading for the still open hangar door of the airship.
Alison looks about seeing what what ever was up here haveing left she lowerd her self down again shething her holy blade and waching the others from the place that she hovered in the air tilting her head at one of the people with wings did not seem to want to fly at all
Devaine_Hawk searches among the brush until he finds a piece of wood that suites his wants . Picking it up , he walks back to the hammock , and stretches out , every so often giving the sky above him a worried glance , as he tries to discern the condition of Flash . Using the knife he starts to whittle and carve at the wood in his hands , and whistle .
BenjaminBlue rotated his arms in backwards spirals, swimming through a cool breeze as Aislinn spoke to him. "What if I said it was?" the flying priest asked her. (No relation to the flying nun, just so you know.) Ben Blue laughed merrily, skimming over the top of the dojo's unfinished roof with surprising speed. The darting figure would be about to go for another pass, before he would forcefully extend his wings and come to a halt, giving most of his attention to what was occuring above. It wasn't that he had any sort of supernatural senses to feel the presence of another angel, but more of the fact he hadn't heard any of Flash's witty remarks for a while. Ben quiclky flew back to Aislinn, still looking towards the sky. "I think something is happening..." he said in a lower tone of voice, showing his concern.
Flash_Guardian has not actually left the sky, nor has the airship moved from its place ... perhaps Flash had moved behind the airship and for a moment was out of sight of the angel, but he reappears quite quickly now, moving close to the white winged flying girl, keeping his hands up to show her that he means her no harm. "Sorry, sorry ... didn't mean to startle you," he calls out to Alison now.
Aislinn arched an eyebrow at him with a soft chuckle to what he said at first. She may have been blessed or cursed, but still...only human. Rather adorably, she held out her arms as if they would steady herself. Like someone first learning to walk, she shakily flew a few more feet up at a time. Ever so cautious. A frown took her lips, as she forgot about the height and her flying for the moment. Her eyes looked up to the sky where she had seen Flash disappear to.
Alison sees the person again and hastly unsethers her blade "aaarre youuu innn llegeee wiiithh Tinooo and hiiss dd d dark Palidins" she asked in a rather shakeing voice and had a look on her face to show that she inteding to fight her blade glowing white her blue nomaly sorrowful eyes narrowed and focosed
Devaine_Hawk methodically works at the wood with the knife . Carving out the entire middle section , soon all is left is an angler V shape of wood with curved ends . Turning it over in his hands he keeps whistling as he smoothes the sides with the blade , but leaves the edges blunt instead of sharp. If he planned on giving it to Triad when it was finished , he didn t want the boy hurting him self with his new toy when he tried to catch it . Looking back up at the sky, he can see the auras if not the shapes of Flash and the other girl high above him . Flash if things get hairy I hoe you know to bring the fight down here where I can help he thinks . Going back to his project he smoothes the last of the rough edges from the wooden object , then begins to look around again .
Flash_Guardian shakes his head, maintaining a safe and respectful distance from Alison as he hovers in midair. "Currently, I am in league with no one," Flash would explain. "But my allegiences have never been to the dark side. I prefer to stand in the light, and as such I have no quarrel with you." Flash raises his hands just a little higher, his palms flat and open, again calling to the fact that he is unarmed and offering no threat. The look on his face is one of patience and welcoming.
Alison scaned him with her eyes and with the look on his face she slowly put away her wepon and stublid in the air a little but then fluw up right if she had had to battle she would have been done for she had been flying for a long time she felt so week her energy drained but she keept an eye on him still if this was a trick and she fell for it the palidins would be exstint
Devaine_Hawk stands from the hammock, targeting some fruit on a low hanging branch near by, and gives his newest craft endeavor it s first test throw . The crude but functional boomerang arcs across the clearing to knock the fruit from it s vine , then turns in the air and returns to his waiting hand . Reaching up to catch it he grins , looking it over once more . have to ask one of the others if we can treat it so it won t break or crack, but it works he thinks . Hooking it in his belt he walks back to the ladder and climbs back up on the partially finished roof of the Dojo, shading his miss matched eyes with in hand he searches the sky for the others .
BenjaminBlue pushed up the edge of his feathered cap with his left thumb and squinted his eyes, making out two dots in the distance. Ben turned back to Aislinn, taking a hold of one of her hands as he asked. "Darling, would you excuse me for a moment? I am worried about Sir Flash." His tone carried no hint of cowardice or anything of a meek nature, although his eyes conveyed his sense of worry. It sounded as if he felt it his duty to check on his friend.
Aislinn seemed to balance herself precariously in the air, as the wings fluttered. Her eyes softened as he spoke to her, and took her hand. "Of course. I would join you, but I fear I would not make good time. Please, make sure sir Flash is well and not harmed." She asked, agreeing with Ben to check on him.
Flash_Guardian 's red cape drapes from behind his back and from where the corners are attached to his fine golden bracers. The bright red fabric billows in the high ocean breeze dramatically, which also causes his spiky red hair to move and sway, almost looking like flames. His heavenly wings keep him aloft with surprising ease, unlike the girl in the air nearby. Flash now looks at the girl with some concern for her obvious weariness. He quickly makes the girl an offer. "The island you see below you is Redfang Island, and the building being constructed down below will be my dojo, a place of learning for my students, and a place for weary travellers to rest. My name is Flash, and you are more than welcome to rest your wings here, and I assure you that you shall come to no harm while you remain." With that, Flash gives the girl a most regal bow before arcing to one side and diving through the air, using his wings to quickly maneuver back between the treetops and the airship, heading back down toward the clearing.
Alison conisered this for a momant biteing her lip rember the last time she trusted people she began to think on this then she desided she was to weak she was about to go down when the distion was made for her by the lack of energy she fell uncouseres and begin to plumit to the ground
BenjaminBlue responded to Aislinn's approval with a quick nod and thrust his arm towards the sky, shooting off with incredible speed that might even rival Flash. The two tiny dots started to come in clearer now. One was Flash but who was... Another angel?! The cantor grips the brim of his hat and flies even faster than he was. About midway between the ground and the pair above, Ben form seemed to vanish as you would expect a shooting star to. A cool breeze would pass by both Flash and Alison, a wind that would send a chill through your bones. In truth, the gust of wind would be the scattered form of Benjamin Blue, looking over the situation. Finding no more conflict among the pair, the chilly gust of air would blow back towards the earth, gradually reforming the bard as it moved closer back to Aislinn. "Well..." he said to himself, returning to full form. "I guess everything was alright after..." Before Blue had a chance to say the rest, he would notice the other angel started to fall as well. What happened?
Aislinn broke into action suddenly. Forgetting about the wings and the abnormalness with them, she cut through the air. They responded to her quick thinking, and wanting to catch the young angel. Opening her arms, as she dove up and through the air, she managed to catch Alison. The skirts of her white gown mixing with the dark red of her cloak, swirling around her. Even exposing her long legs slightly. She had no time to blush, for such indecency. Worry about the smaller female in her arms. "Miss?" She said softly, her wings fluttering gently as they descended very slowly.
Alison still uncoused not realizing what was going on around her just mumurd a little about escaping in her sleep as her brown hair fell over her eyes as she sleeped as her and the lady deseded
Devaine_Hawk sees one of the auras start to drop at a high rate of speed , thinking to him self , great , not sure who or what she is but a fall from that height won t do her any favors . He starts to run across the partial roof , showing amazing balance as he umps from plank to plank. It reminds him of a time in Panama , chasing contra rebel assassin across roof tops in the dead of night . He knows he can t catch the falling woman , it would break him and maybe her too in half from the impact , so what the hell is he going to do to break her fall? He breaths in deeply in relief as he see Aislinn catch her .
BenjaminBlue glances back and to his surprise, found the awkward Aislinn coming to the young cherib's rescue. With a sudden swoop in the other direction, Ben made all haste towards the ground which the pair would land on. "It is alright," he called to Devaine. "Everything is fine now."
Flash_Guardian lands near Devaine, on the unfinished roof of the dojo, folding his celestial wings. To Aislinn he mutters, "Nice catch." He then would look to Devaine, grinning. "She learns quick. I bet she'll be a promising student."
Devaine_Hawk nods to Flash as he touches down . Pulling the newly crafted boomerang from his belt he holds it out to him here give this to Triad , he blinked out before I could he smiles and stops in mid sentence at Flash s words . about this school , I been thinking , meaning to ask you , I don t know exactly what your going to teach, or to who, or who all will be doing the teaching, but I think I know who would be honored top be you first trouble student he grins .
Aislinn 's problem, was that she thought way too much. That was what had been making her flight uneasy. Without time to think about it, her wings reacted to an urgency in her mind. Instead of the doubt and hesitancy that was in it before. Her violet eyes were downcast on Alison, and the wings responded to her still. Carefully bringing her to the ground, with the small angel in her arms. Cleome and Synth were no where to be seen, but she knew they were safe. Her eyes looked to Flash, and she sighed relieved. "I did not think I would have been able to.."
Flash_Guardian looks at Devaine, a delighted smile slowly spreading over his face. "All are welcome within my dojo," he agrees, nodding. "So long as they obey the rules ." Flash laughs now. "I guess that makes two students I'll be teaching now. And as for teachers, those who have something to teach are welcome to."
Devaine_Hawk nods as he hands the boomerang over . I m trying , that s all I can promise he tells Flash in a solemn tone .
Alison woke with a start she scremed out as she woke and looked around seeing a woman was holding her she quickly jumpted out her arms unsthing her sword as it fiersly glowled white she looked around her eyes full of fear her wings since she was on the grond now folded
Flash_Guardian takes the boomerang and returns to work on the dojo, since his player is heading to bed.
