Creation And Destruction

Glyniss_McMasters keeps glancing over her shoulder not just to see if Blue is still there but that he isnt having too much trouble....pausing every so often to make sure...though pace wasnt a problem as she limps the clicking of metal over metal clearly heard now away from the music of the pub and its bright lights...

BenjaminBlue was following behind her at his own leisure, taking every other step with a twirl or a bound as he stumbled through the night. The rythemic metal clicks would set the tempo to his display of theatrics. " The song of winter, carried across the winds the blow to the north where is there a land of snow. By arctic light, a beacon in the night, I do follow your heavenly voice... "

Glyniss_McMasters pauses turning around to face him now....head tilting as she listens to the words he seems to be reciting....the metal clicks that follow in her wake has almost always gone unnoticed by her so used to them is she....her brows knitting unsure what she's going to do with him this time....at least he wasnt acting like in some major fight...

Flash_Guardian had been about to enter the Pub when he saw a famliar pair heading off down a familiar trail into some familiar woods. And singing. He heard singing. Flash couldn't remember the last time he had heard Blue sing, if at all. So after the two he follows, toward the banks of the stream, doing his best to catch up and listen in on the lyrics.

BenjaminBlue allowed himself one last long jump into the air as he tried to land upon his toes, arms spread like some great bird about to take to flight. " What is it that you call to down to me? What can I do that would allow you to set me free? Bound by the blizzard and trapped in ice, I forever reach towards heaven to do thy bidding... " At that point, Blue would loose his balance and tumble backward into the waters of the stream, eventually resurfacing with a deep breath. His eyes would dart side to side, set within the face of a confused individual. "By the gods!" he shouted, spitting out some water. "What is the meaning of this?" Blue looked towards the rock and began to swim towards land.

Flash_Guardian stops, immediately appalled. This is clearly not the Benjamin that he is familiar with. He steps into view of the pair, casting a curious look at Glyniss, then back at Blue. "A bit late for a baptism, isn't it?"

Za'ad is utterly lost, plain and simple. He's been walking for quite some time, 'exploring'. And he calls it excploring so that he doesn't have to admit that he's lost. Which he won't. Ever. As is, moving through the forest, he hears a loud voice in the distance. So, he follows the noise. He's got nowhere else to go, after all.

Glyniss_McMasters shakes her head reaching up as fingers grab the brim of her stetson pushing it back further on her head....limping hurriedly over to him the darn guy would get his death of cold if he lingers in the water....stopping by the edge. on the bank of the stream" Yer dan' foo' ge' yersel' outt' the' promt' fer yer ge' yer deat'.." arm outstretched for him to grab hold of

Flash_Guardian blinks once or twice, then follows Glyniss and assists her in fishing Blue out of the stream.

BenjaminBlue simply spreads himself out upon the rock and lays quietly in the cold night air, covering his mouth to cough before loosing a loud groan from his depths. Blue would push himself up onto land and clutch his arm close to him, shivering. "Just have her leave me alone! I don't want anything to do with her!" he shouted, turning himself away from the group. "It is cold and dark in this place. The stars barely reveal themselves to me as I look into the night sky, hoping and wishing that an answer will be found," Blue says, looking up to the sky with glassy eyes. "But I see no such answer! They refuse me!" he shouted, clenching his teeth before huddling himself into a ball. "As to be expected I suppose... Destiny is a mysterious mistress not subject to temptation or flattery... I can only accept her for who she is..."

Za'ad walks slowly, curiously, with his left hand locked around his right wrist behind his back, giving him an almost scholarly appearance. It's not an inaccurate one, either. Anyway- As he comes within visual range of the already placed group, he slows further and walks a little quieter, though not so much that his arrival would come as a complete surprise.

Glyniss_McMasters sideglances to Flash a bit worried about his reaction to Blue she had tried warning him last night...crouching down beside the man the creaks and strains eachoing as she winces...her hand coming to rest lightly on Blue's shoulder...." Blue'...do yer akno' wher' yer ar'?"

Flash_Guardian stares in confusion at the now sopping wet priest, trying to make sense of his spouting. Blue's comment about Destiny just sets his mind to spouting all manner of foul language about Chen in his head, none of which is spoken aloud as he knows it would do little to help the situation. And so he just watches, standing back a bit from the pair as another figure seems to step out of the woods nearby, earning Flash's watchful attention.

BenjaminBlue solemnly shakes his head and lets his arm fall limp. "What matter is that to me? Where could I possibly go to escape from the torment I force myself through every night and day? Where can I hide from my own shame?" Blue slowly looks up to Glyniss and squints his eyes, her face being little more than another blur. "There is no place you can go. Only heaven can free one from the human condition... Only those who have already rid themselves of it are allowed passage. I am not worthy to embark on such a quest..." A lone tear cascades down his already soaked face as he turns to look towards the other blurs moving through the night.

Za'ad finally pauses, raising an eyebrow, and observes the... spectacle before him with a hint of amusement. This could certainly get interesting.

Boromoy walks down the path toward the stream a a slight hazy look in his eyes and a smile on his lips his eyes looking at the stars as he walks unawares into the clearing his mind in a hazy as he clutches as small neclace in his hand only the silver chain to be seen as it sparkles in the moon light

Flash_Guardian gazes down at the man on the rock before him, to whom his heart now reaches out with sympathy. At last he moves forward, clapping his hands together and whispering some unintelligable words. His hands now begin to radiate a subtle yet potent heat. "Shame is not something to hide from, Blue. It must, unfortunately, be endured. In time, shame passes, but the lesson it teaches us will last forever. And in learning the lesson, we are redeemed." Flash wasn't used to giving advice to a priest, but such it was. He slowly reaches out his hands, moving them around Blue's body and allowing the magically enhanced heat of his hands to warm and dry the poor man.

Glyniss_McMasters frowns listening to his words.." Hav' yer don' somethin' ter be ashame'....ain' we al'..yer sur' ain' alon' in tha'..side' yer ashouldn' ab' ahidin' fro' sham' yer loo' it in ter fac' an' tur' it abou'.." her fingers gently squeezing his shoulder before letting it drop to her side..she knew how she would react if this was Flash....but Blue.....well thats different...head turning as she follows his gaze..

Za'ad can't keep a ghost of a smile from crossing his lips, however briefly. He'll wait, bide his time. If someone wishes to wallow in their own misery, let weaknesses get the better of them, he'd rather wait for it to pass. He has no time for it.

BenjaminBlue closed his eyes and groaned again as he felt the heat of Flash's magic starting to warm his bones. Trying to move into a more comfortable position, Blue managed to knock over his side bag and spill some of its contents into the water. Namely mentioned, a small book, some golden trinkets, and a nearly empty bottle of wine would float upon the surface of the water. Blue just let his head droop forward to allow his hair to cover his face as he tried to endure the enormous headache he had just incurred. "Just need to rest for a moment... Just need to relax..." Blue said in a very tiresome tone as he just sit there.

Boromoy blinking his eyes as he hears Glyniss jumping with a start Your Pardon M lady as he looks about a bit confused the silver chain still dangling from his hand

Flash_Guardian cries out as the bag spills into the flowing stream nearby. He quickly looks over to Glyniss for assistance, as his own hands are busy at the moment. And then he starts at the approach of another, turning to look in his direction, yet careful to keep his hands moving steadily around Blue, warming him. It would still be a minute or two before he dried fully, depending on how much water his clothing had absorbed. What a strange situation this was quickly becoming ...

BenjaminBlue let himself lay back and rested upon the stone, taking slow and steady breaths as he lowered himself. His fingers would interlace with each other to form a shield over his eyes, the spining of the world now starting to aggrivate his gentle stomach. Occasionally, he would peer through a gap in his hands to see if the spinning had ceased, but would just cover his eyes again in hopes that it would stop soon.

Glyniss_McMasters brows knit a little recognising the man from the gypsy camp....nodding to him.." Howdy" her attention to the lone figure standing like a prim teacher...quickly looking him over jerking suddenly as Flash cries out head spinning back to look at him and Blue expecting the worse...unsure what is wrong only catching sight of the floating objects out of the corner of her eye...eyes darting to Flash before coperhending what he wanted her to do....twisting a little on her booted heels stretching out towards grabbing the objects

Za'ad suddenly realizes that he's faced with an opportunity, here. This man's apparent misery can be a no lose situation. Well, at least, no lose for him. For Blue, that's another matter entirely. So, shaking his head, he starts towards the trio slowly, looking ready to offer some words of his own.

Boromoy "hello" he said softly frozen in his tracks his eyes turn to look at his hand

Glyniss_McMasters winces at the sudden movement of the twisting....fingertips stroking over a corner of the book..as they try taking a firmer hold..her action causing the book to dip under the surface even more as pages become like floudering ducks...before she did indeed manage to pull the book closer...and then....suddenly scoop the soaking dripping object out of the water....a huh being released as she does so..

Flash_Guardian watches Glyniss stretch out for the objects, now regretting ever asking her to get involved. He had forgotten about her leg, and how uncomfortable that must be. He just bites his lip, keeping his eye on what Glyniss is doing as he dries Blue off, his leg now dry, at least. "Umm, greetings," he replies to the other man from the gypsy camp. "Boromoy, was it?"

Za'ad pauses a short distance away, eyeing Blue. "You know... there are alternatives to living life when it's a miserable and depressing one. There's no need to put yourself through that sort of thing." His voice is quiet, low, aimed at Blue only. The others, close, may hear what he says, but he's not talking to them. And Blue will know it.

BenjaminBlue shifted uneasily, an unnatural chill running through his spine as he uncovered his eyes but still suspended his hands above his head. His brow would bunch together and his eyes would fix themselves into a firm stare. Blue spoke in a voice quieter than a whisper, returning the same low tone to Za'ad. "Who are you?" His voice would only sound like a passing breeze to the others. "What do you want of me?"

Boromoy nods slowly in response to Flashes queston yes that s right only half hearing looking down his hands slowly opens a smile drifting delicately across his face as he look down at image of the virgin Mary in his hand his eyes once more misting over as he stared at the necklace in his hand a quite sigh escaping his lips

Glyniss_McMasters arm pulls back with its soaked treasure....dropping it onto the ground beside her...laying it mostly flat out with the cover on the ground the pages left to be tried by the wind.....glancing back out the trinkets had not been so lucky having mostly sunk to the bottom of the stream whence they had fallen in..

Flash_Guardian turns back to Blue, continuing his ministrations of warmth. Another leg is quickly dried. "By the gods, Blue ... what happened to you?" he says, at last voicing his concern to his friend.

Za'ad tilts his head a little, still looking at Blue, ignoring the others. For now. "What I want... Well, let's say that I may be able to help you. You don't enjoy your life as is, do you? If that truly is the case, perhaps we can... change it."

Jin-Saotome goes floating by in the stream, laying back on what looks to be a large inflatable raft of some kind. He stealthily whips his long whits scarf around and snags the nearest root with it to keep from floating past everyone.

Jin-Saotome tethers there for a moment and says, "Anyone wanna give me a hand?"

Phoenix_Ressurection ambled slowly along the water her delicate hands clasping the opposite shoulder making her arms cross over her chest a defensive posture. Deep liquid blue eyes stared into nothing, glassy mirrors lacking the life that usually danced within them. Similiarly were the expressions of a delicately chiseled visage, expressionless and set like marble already lily skin seeming more wan if it were possible. It could be safe to say nothing of her surroundings was being comprehended.

BenjaminBlue continues to stay silent and stern, eyes fixed to the inside of his hands as he considered what Za'ad's intentions were. Blue knew there would be a catch, but still he wondered if there truly were something that would comfort him. As if in response to Flash's question, Blue quickly pushed himself up to sit and focused all attention on Za'ad with a look of either hatred or perhaps respect.

Jin-Saotome 's scarf releases itself from the root (or perhaps the root from the bank) and he's floating downstream again! Apparently the paddles were missing...

Boromoy simply sits down when he is his eyes glassed over a smile on his face he lays back in the grass and stares at the stars as sigh again parts his lips

Flash_Guardian makes a thoroughly perplexed face at the fool in the raft. "Jin?! What are you doing here?" Moving on to Blue's torso, he waves his hands over the man's form until his lower, then upper body are quickly dried and, as Blue sits up, he reaches around to start drying his back as well as his front. As close as he is, he cannot help but overhear Za'ad's words, now that he is paying attention.

Za'ad waits silently, eyebrow raised. The very worst that can happen is that the group decides that they no longer want to be in the presence of a person that so easily manipulates death. The best scenario... Well, the best scenario is something that benefits almost everyone present.

Jin-Saotome watches Flash pass by him on the bank and yells out, "I'm up the creek without a paddle!!!!" Jin leaps out of the raft and grabs onto a low hanging branch of an oak tree, pulling himself up. After making his way onto the actual bank itself, Jin dusts himself off and watches his homemade raft drift out of sight...

Glyniss_McMasters shakes her head having decided the jewels can stay where they are at the bottom of the stream for her to get them it would mean actully getting into the water....head turning as she catches sight of what looks like a scarf....following it course to the end eyes alightening at last on the floating....emm raft...as the tie seems to slacken once more Glyniss shift's postion quickly...unable to stop the shooting pain as she does...fingers trying to grab the ever loosening scarf

Jin-Saotome 's raft is SAVED! He thanks Glyniss and says, "Hey, thanks there! Took a good few hours to build."

Phoenix_Ressurection staring straight ahead continued to amble on eventually only to trip over a rock jutting out of the ground. She stumbled and in her lack of mental faculty made no effort to catch herself. Hard ground coming p to meet soft flesh of her knees the only cushionng the fabric of her gown that hands to her toes.

Glyniss_McMasters tiggtens her hold on the scarf slender at first but quickly getting firmer as she yanks and pulls the object closer...bitting her bottom lip hard as it gets closer to the shore line

BenjaminBlue didn't really know how to regard this visitor who claimed to command such awesome powers. Blue twisted himself so that he would face the wandering scholar and continued to give him the same stern look. "And how would I know if you are not the devil in disguise, traveler?" he accused out loud, his head still pounding from all the wine he managed to consume tonight.

Boromoy hearing Phoenix falls snaps from his daze rolling over of the ground he moves toward her

Flash_Guardian has at last finished drying most of Blue's garments, and now moves to rest his hands directly on Blue's shoulders, letting the potent heat of his hands warm the priest directly. A shoulder massage would quickly follow, Flash's powerful hands kneading the stress right out of Blue's shoulders, neck, and back. He smiles to hear that Jin and his raft have been rescued, but then frowns at Blue's words to the newcomer, shooting him a suspicious eye.

Jin-Saotome helps Glyniss get his raft tied up and says, "Watcha doing all soaking wet?"

Phoenix_Ressurection doesn't move. Her gown stained with the green of moss and soil. A hint of darkening red along the hem from teh blood she had trod through earlier. She makes no acknowledgement of Boromoy as he comes to her. In fact it appears her glassy stare goes through him into oblivion. This was not the demure young woman others had known, or the cool quipping femme some had pleasure to challange.

Za'ad can't resist a smile at that question. "I could very well be just that. My offer is... unpleasant, to say the least. But, it will certainly end a life of misery. Unless life isn't all that bad, and you feel it's not worth the risk to strike up a deal with someone that could very well be the devil incarnate?"

Glyniss_McMasters nods to Blue..." He ha' a we' acciden'...jus' ageetin' hi' stuf'..."pausing before slowly awkwardly and painfully pushes herself up to a standing position....the clicking and straining of metal upon metal following her actions

Flash_Guardian softens slightly, moving around to Blue's side to regard him as a friend. "What on earth would have you so down, Blue?" he implores, desperately wanting to know what is going on. "I just recently got excommunicated from my deity - something I shouldn't need to remind you of. But you don't see me contemplating the end of my existence, do you?" His tone slowly fades into one of distaste as he lifts his eyes and glares at Za'ad, calm fires burning deep within. "Leave. Now."

BenjaminBlue pull a strand of his golden hair from his eyes and bows his head with a heavy sigh. He really didn't feel like he was doing much to serve the Lord now, and he did feel as if he burdened his friends. That was unacceptable. Blue gave a weary nod and allowed himself to match eyes with stranger with a look not as harsh as he had first presented. "Very well, then. I will hear you out, but your proposal will not be discussed in private. What you have to say to me will remain open knowledge to my comrads..." Blue shook his head, still feeling so useless inside. "So..." he said gravely. "What do you propose?"

Jin-Saotome looks around the streambank and spies Desiree... what's she doing out of her fortress? Goin on a walk like Jin suggested?? He walks hastily over to Desiree (that would be Phoenix) and Boromoy. "Hey there Desiree, are you ok? You trip or something?" He offers down his gloved hand for her.

BenjaminBlue would look to Flash with a pair of sad eyes and no words to say before the last post would be posted.

Boromoy reaching out sets his hand on Phoenix s shoulder M Lady you are not well as the other seem busy with Blue and Jin he wraps his arms around her to pick her up and carry her

Flash_Guardian withdraws his stern gaze to the other man after hearing Blue's words ... but still he watches him, closely.

Jin-Saotome takes the time to wave to Flash as well. "Let me know if ya need help there man."

Za'ad all but ignoring Flash, he continues to watch Blue. "I propose changing your perspective of the situation. Simply offering you an alternative view. Maybe then, life won't seem quite so bad." It's a straightforward offer. Mostly.

Flash_Guardian nods in response to Jin, Blue almost entirely dry now, save perhaps his hair, which was likely still a mess. He bends forward to whisper something in Blue's ear, eyes on the man before them.

Phoenix_Ressurection eyes focused partially. Jin's hand. Boromoy's sweep of her small slender body. She was as silent as the tomb and silenter. Her fragile body began to shake once more with the overstimulation of what events replayed themselves in her mind.

[Flash_Guardian whispers to BenjaminBlue] "Forgive me for saying so, Blue, but I don't trust this guy one bit. Seems to convenient for him to approach you as you are and offer you a quick fix."

Glyniss_McMasters glances over to the small group Jin is going only vaguely rememebring him from somewhere before her attention rest on Blue with Flash and a stranger...bending down she carefully picks up the small book still soaked...eyes glancing over the page it had fallen open on....before turning and limping slowly over to where Flash etc where

[Boromoy ] : shakes his head "Thanks Jin I think I have got her but, I think we need to get her warm "

Jin-Saotome nods to Boromoy and says, "We best get her to your campsite and by a fire or something. Looks like she's been wandering around out here alone. I'll be right back." Jin helps Desiree to her feet as best he can and into Boromoy's grasp and heads over next to Flash, Blue, and McMasters. "Hey, what's going on?"

BenjaminBlue shook his head in response to Flash's insight and flashed another stern look to Za'ad. "Enough smoke and mirrors! You present to me an option that is dependant with my faith in you!" Blue stood to his feet and pointed on finger at the man. "A man with such dark intentions can not bode any fortune that would suit me more than himself! If you wish to make a deal with me, then you must dispense with these unpleasantries and tell me what you intend to do!" Blue was almost furious as of right now. He didn't like being toyed with and would be damned if somebody from nowhere was going to roll dice with his future.

[Lafiel ] looks around the unfamiliar place and commits everyone's face to memory as she always does. she leans against a tree and closes her colorless eyes, not paying much attention to anyone

Robert~Darklord slowly approached the group, his footsteps soft but steady as he makes his way towards everyone, taking a drag from his cigarette as he began to hear the various bits and pieces of the conversation before he stops three feet behind the man shouting, his hands withdrawing from the pockets of his trenchcoat to crack his knuckles very loudly, a look that he was not amused now played upon his face as his eyes were hidden by the trademark sunglasses

Za'ad smiles again, inclining his head. Already, if anyone's paying close attention, it's started. Just a short time ago, Blue was depressed, sorrowful, drunk. Now that same miserable excuse for a human is standing straight, strong, proud, if not a little angry. "Faith, yes. How much faith do you have left? In anything?"

Flash_Guardian leans back away from Blue and at last withdraws his hands from Blue's shoulders, looking to Jin. He nods his head in the direction of the priest seated on the rock near him, then shrugs, silently indicating that something is up with Blue but he isn't quite sure what. He quickly recoils from Blue's outburst, his attention once again returning to the pair of Blue and Za'ad. This was not a situation to be approached lightly, and Flash was ready for anything.

Boromoy calls out over his shoulder Jin I am going to take Desiree back to my Camp to the Fire Turns to head back down the path, Desiree in his arms

Glyniss_McMasters stops before she reaches them witnessing Blue's burst of anger ..eyes watching the old man the book in her hand forgotten as she listens

Phoenix_Ressurection is carried off at whim. Does she know? Possibly. Does she mind? Who could say?

Jin-Saotome nods to Boromoy and decides to just intervene and get this over with. He steps right in between Blue and Za'ad, facing the stranger and saying, "Ok, let's see some identification. Do you have a Religious Service card? Something that states you're the head of an orginization for the betterment of humankind? No? If not then let's be off before I have to actually remove you from where ya be standing eh?" Jin's right in Za'ad's way now, his gloved hands up and it looks like he's about to 'bounce' the man out if he doesn't take a step back.

Cannon comes this way. He doesn't plan to stay long, and there is a reason for him being here: He sensed people. Its not just a simple matter of conveniently wandering to where everyone is, as can often be the case, but a deliberate requirement to locate and intercept the crowd for the simple reason that people tend to equal oppurtunities, and more people = more oppurtunities. Maybe that would be giving too much away though. Anyhow... he does walk here all the same, which is a first for him since most of his entrances involve something burning or loud noises.

BenjaminBlue defiantly turn his head to one side and crosses his arms. "That is asked of a man who would worship himself or his selfish desires? You ask me, a man of the cloth, whether I question my own faith in the Lord?" Blue returned his attention to the man and gave him a sharp nod with a determined face. "Although I walk a tread upon a path of anger and grief, of regret and sarrow, my faith in the Lord will be forever unshakable! Despite what I do, no matter how I ruin myself, He will always Love me for who I am and forgive my faults... That is something that I am sure that you will never have, sir. Never..." Blue looked about the rock for his hat and snuggly fit it on his head again, straightening the feather with one finger. "So, good sir... If you can offer me something better than the everlasting love of my Lord in Heaven, please tell me what that is so that I may no longer stand here in the darkness..." His tone was smug and challenged Za'ad to come up with an answer or leave.

Lafiel opens her eyes and watches everyone disinterestedly, pushing her hair off her shoulder and out of her face. her face is oddly void of emotion, as is her white eyes, but that's normal for her.

Robert~Darklord snorts loudly as he takes another drag, listening to this fool as he reached up, taking the sunglasses off and folding them up before he put them away "God is dead, heaven is a lie, and your a damn fool for thinking such things"

Cannon walks in on an argument? Well, he wouldn't quite do any such thing as that. He keeps his distance from the nearby arguing folks while still listening in and not making any attempts to hide it. He remembers Benjamin in as much as one might... and doesn't know to whom he refers when he says 'lord' any more than he did last time. He listens all the same though, just out of idle curiosity.

Za'ad looks at Jin for a moment, calm, almost serene in his every action. He even raises a finger to his lips, and then motions Jin aside with a very minor wave. "Shh. We're having a conversation. When it's through, I will take my leave as peacefully as I arrived." And then, as if Jin no longer exists, he answers Blue. It's not exactly what he wanted, but if any present are wise, they'll realize what's been done here. "Your words are, to say the least, accurate for your purposes. Keep them in mind, that is my advice to you."

Jin-Saotome doesn't say a thing, but instead sidesteps around Za'ad and looks like he's passing him... until Jin stops and reaches out behind Za'ad a full arm's length to hopefully grab the man by the back of his neck very forceably.

Flash_Guardian whirls and looks at Robert suddenly, very startled. He expected things to get very ugly very shortly. "I don't know where you're getting your information," he adresses Robert's comment chastisingly, "but I think you need to hold your tongue, sir. You obviously know not of what you speak."

Glyniss_McMasters sighs as she continues to listen this was between Bluey and the stranger for now....and soo she just watches....easing herself a little as she leans against a nearby tree...

Cannon picks up on the subject of deities, and merely quirks a brow. He isn't technically sure how agnosticism can still function here, but then the fact that he was created by a deity of sorts might sway that opinion. But then, theres agnosticism one way, and then theres monotheism, and the concept of the latter is ludicrous here.

Lafiel sighs in boredom, not too interested in anything

Cannon remains, all the same, quite separate from this argument. This place is amazing though, isn't it? A land where even the most extreme of freaks can walk among people and go completely unnoticed. Thats not to say that Cannon is extreme as freaks go, but he is in there somewhere.

Robert~Darklord cracks his neck loudly, doing the same with his back as his eyes narrow at the man, letting the cigarette hang there for a moment before he took yet another drag "I know damn well what i'm speaking of boy. Either god is dead, or there is no god for you to fall back upon. Your just a weak minded mortal who's bought into the lie that religion is, allowing yourself to becomed absorbed by them instead of admiting that your a very flawed creature that lacks the will to try and make themselves better. Cannon has to leave now though.... for reasons beyond his control of course. He does however make a point of stopping behind Benjamin and stating in a hushed tone: "So who do the gods pray to then?" ... before turning and walking away with apparent disregard for any replies from that point....

Za'ad acts the very instant that he feels the hand touch his neck. He hisses out a few quick words, a summoning spell. The spell conjures a seven foot tall fire golem whose sole purpose is the defense of the summoner. In other words, mere seconds after Jin is grabbing his neck, a fire golem is striking, attacking, meaning to burn to a crisp the person attacking the summoner.

Jin-Saotome gets to play with fire... seriously?

BenjaminBlue looks over to Flash and waves his gloved hand. "Sir Flash. Let those who wish to walk upon another path do so peacefully and without incidence. Should they choose to corrupt the paths of others, one can only take them upon their own way or try to keep them from continuing with corruption." Blue looked over to Robert and gave him a respectful nod. "You believe what you must, and I will do the same." Blue looked back to Flash with a smile and tipped his hat. "Righteousness can exclude nobody. That is the will of Heaven itself."

[Za'ad ] Sentient fire, humanoid in shape, seven feet tall, and that will burn quite a bit on contact.

[Lafiel ] "just out of curiousity, what brought about this discussion?" her voice is as emotionless as her face

Robert~Darklord smirks "So then bible boy, you must believe in demons, correct?"

Glyniss_McMasters blinks....pushing just the slightest away from the tree as the fire creature suddenly appears.....worried now about streambank...

Flash_Guardian growls, fuming at Robert's words and baring teeth in his direction, arms tight and fists clenched at his sides as he practicaly burns a hole through Robert with his glare. He is about to speak when he hears Blue's rather diplomatic words, quickly bringing his agression back down to a level that Flash can control. He shakes his head, turning back to face the priest. "C'mon, Blue, let's get out of -" Fire elemental? Yipe! Flash simply watches for a moment, ready to step in if he is needed.

Jin-Saotome spins around (dragging Za'ad around in place if he doesn't try to escape) as soon as anything 'firey' is heard crackling to life next to him. Jin raises his other arm up as a flaming fist comes at him, the side of his flightsuit catching with flames as the golem connects! He yells something about hating barbacues and pushes Za'ad out of his way hard ! (assuming he didn't wretch the back of his neck from Jin's grasp)

BenjaminBlue looks to Robert Darklord and grins, hiding his eyes under the brim of his hat. "How can there be angels without demons?" Blue looks over to Lafiel and gives a slight nod, finally acknowledging that she is amongst the group. "What else, fair lady? A woman." Blue quickly jumped in surprise as a fire golem would appear in a haze of fire and ash. He could only take a few steps back and turn to Za'ad, hoping that he will listen. "Please! Do not spoil this gathering with violence! We will let you leave in peace!" He would hope that everybody else would follow what he said. They rarely did though.

Lafiel isn't concerned with the fire. she's an elementist, and fire is her strongest element. should it get near her, she can easily control it, putting it out ((assuming that it can be controlled by another))

[Lafiel ] "a woman, eh? and how, pray tell, did she start it?"

Jin-Saotome 's flightsuit remains white however, shimmering a bit as the flames just don't quite have more of an effect than just hitting Jin with a solid force. He's wearing a flightsuit that's designed to wistand some rather extreme stuff like the heatsinks failing on his Mecha or radiation from the Composite Core leaking in.

Robert~Darklord snorts at the fire, taking another drag of his cigarette as he watches "Oh brother, if this guy thinks i'm going to impressed by some dumbass fire creature, you have to be kidding me. I've seen better light shows in a hollywood movie for crying out loud"

Lafiel doesn't really care, but her curiousity drives her to ask

Za'ad stumbles off, nearly falling, he fights for balance, glad to be out of the thick of things. In the mean time, that fire golem is keeping up a relentless attack on Jin, fist after fist. The interesting thing about fire golems is that not only are they hot enough to burn metal, but they have unlimited energy as long as their summoner lives and keeps the spell active. Not only that, but they live for the sole purpose of destroying anyone or anything that would threaten their summoner. Nothing can make them waver from that but the summoner. While his golem fights, he dusts himself off, straightens his clothing, and then clasps his hands behind his back again to wait for the golem to be destroyed, or for the others (aside from Blue, who seems too nice for his own good) to say that they'll allow him to leave without attacking him again.

BenjaminBlue shifts his gaze uneasily back to Lafiel, being currently proccupied with the task of not being incinerated by the creature. "I'm afraid you will have to ask around. That is a story that I do not have the heart to recite. Forgive me." Blue turns around and leaps up onto the rock and approached the waters in hope that can help keep him safe.

Jin-Saotome 's in the middle of getting torched and holds up a finger to Benjamin Blue to spare him a moment. Leaving is indeed an option, but only after Jin has had some action. Besides, this is just the distraction everyone else needs to get going, hehe.

Glyniss_McMasters frowns just about having enough....looking to whom she knew was the source of the fire...limps over to him..." Tha' aenoug'....en' ter spel' no'..."

Flash_Guardian quickly moves away from the nearby people and vegetation and gathers his own magical forces to cast a spell. His hands start at his middle palms apart and facing each other, a slight reddish glow coming to light between them suspended in midair, like a spark from a fire. Slowly a swift wind seems to swirl around Flash, whipping his cape, clothing, and hair about. "Flame shield!" Flash concentrates, then lashes his arms to the side rapidly, flinging the spark forward in the wind that surrounds him, and the air itself seems to immolate and catch fire. Flash is now wreathed in red hot flames. He and his clothing are now impervious to flame, a necessary precaution of the spell. He walks slowly forward in defense of his friend, Jin. "Call off your dogs, wizard!" he barks at Za'ad. "I have no quarrel with you, but if you insist upon harming others here I will be forced to defend them!"

Jin-Saotome literally reaches in and jams his gloved hands right into the fire elemental's fists as he ducks back and parrys a few fire-laden blows from the creature. The end of his scarf catches on fire and Jin yells to Za'ad while trying to tear through it, "You really don't want me to summon my helper! Now you had best RUN!" With that Jin flings his fists down to the ground... and there's an explosion of dirt and debris that erupts beneath Jin and the elemental!

Za'ad is tempted to add something else to assist his golem in destroying the man that would attack him so foolishly... But, he resists casting any curses or other, more dangerous spells. Instead, he tilts his head, watching all assembled. "Insist upon harming others? Defend them In case you did not notice, I summoned that golem in my own defense, fool. When I am sure that the threat to me is eliminated, only then will I dispell my creature." As for Jin... Well, all he can think is that Jin must be an utter imbecile. But, that's a non issue. The golem, mostly unphased by the debris, continues the attack.

Robert~Darklord steps forward as he pushes his coat back, revealing the twin swords which he draws, two katana's with brilliantly crafted hilts, each displaying the image of the tattoo on his left upper arm. He stops a few feet away, sizing up the situation as he holds the swords at his sides "Well well well, this looks like one hell of a fight after all, and I thought it was going to be craptacular. Oh well"

Lafiel has no interest in the fire golem or fighting and simply watches, bored

Jin-Saotome 's still standing there when the cloud of dust settles and he does NOT look happy, his fists flickering with a strange firey energy and Za'ad's fire elemental pinned under his foot in a three-foot deep crater where the explosive blasts from Jin's fists connected. The iris from his eyes are also absent, replaced by glowing orange spheres. Jin growls and says, "More...."

Flash_Guardian snarls at the wizard, turning to face the fiery creature, an arm coming up to brace himself from the chunks of earth sent flying by Jin's fist. That out of the way, Flash quickly moves forward and attempts to grapple the seven foot tall elemental bare handed. Flash is quite a bit stronger than he seems, and should be capable of at least keeping the creature occupied with him.

Glyniss_McMasters spares just a quick glance over her shoulder before stopping in front of the stranger...looking at him coldly....her voice quiet " I sai' tha' wa' anoug'...ge' ari' of ter creatur' no'...an' leav' yer ain' awante' her'"

Za'ad raises an eyebrow as he watches, and as an afterthought, mutters another summoning spell. This, to bring the aid of two skeleton mages to his side. Unlike the golem, they're smarter. They know when to attack, and when to defend. So, they wait, working defensive magicks around themselves and their summoner. As soon as they're in place, the fire golem is called off. It simply vanishes, leaving a pile of ashes on the ground where it stood . At that point, he offers a polite smile to Glyniss. "Yes, enough. I do believe I'll take my leave, now."

Robert~Darklord snorts as he sheathes both swords, letting the coat fall back down to conceal them once again as he looks at Jin "Are we frigging done here yet or is there someone else who's going to get pissed off besides me?!"

Kade is more then a little confused by what he sees when he reaches his friends. He could hear the sounds of conflict all the way down the stream as he came closer.

BenjaminBlue looks over to all the chaos and can't help but shake his head. It seems that everytime he gets into some sort of trouble of feels down on his luck, some creature would come to remind him of his faults. First it was the giant mechanical golem who chased him through the forest, then the dark witch who would possess his friend, the demon who would tear the tavern asunder, and now a fire elemental to plague him further. By now, all of this would come as not surprise to him anymore. It was just a face of life that something like this was bound to happen, regardless of who would be present. Blue simply looked to the group and shook his head, sitting by the calm waters of the stream. He was no fighter. What else could he do?

Jin-Saotome lets Flash deal with the elemental for the moment and storms towards Za'ad with an enraged look on his face calling out, "MORE!" Upon seeing the skeletons Jin digs one foot into the ground and reels back... With the force of a train crashing into a propane station, Jin propells himself forward across the ground with a single punch, his fist erupting into a crackling blast of energy! Jin slides across the ground and directly into Za'ad's skeletal minions and towards the summoner himself!

Flash_Guardian quickly falls to the ground as the flaming creature in the crater whom he was wrestling with quickly vanishes. He breaths a quick sigh of relief, quickly rolling back up to his feet, careful not to brush against Jin with his flames in the process. And then Jin zips forward to press the attack, leaving Flash standing there rather shocked. A moment while Flash changes his tactics, quickly dispelling and dissipating the flames surrounding him with a wave of his hand. "For Chen's sake, Jin!" he shouts after the man, old habits remaining what they are.

Lafiel wonders if violence frequents this area often, or if she just found them on a bad day, but doesn't care enough to ask

Glyniss_McMasters brows knit as the skeletons appear....nodding as she rises her arm and points along the dirtpath back to the pub..." Tha' ter wa' ter go...be oblige' ifna yer don' tarr' to' muc'"

Robert~Darklord groans loudly, slapping his forehead as he walks back over to bible boy, just shaking his head heavily "I cannot believe I used to be as reckless as these people. Oy how stupid I was when I was younger"

Kade quickly spots Glyniss in the crowd, he doesn't know who she's talking to, but he is more worried about the man sliding towards her and Za'ad. Because of this he takes off at a run, trying to intercept Jin.

Za'ad has already turned and started walking away, the skeletons following, walking backwards. Jin, train or not, won't be able to get within ten feet of the skeletons or their summoner. The two undead minions are holding up a strong but invisible barrier, impenetrable. Jin can pound, strike, scream, whine, and try everything he wants, but nothing will get past that barrier that protect the retreating summoner.

Flash_Guardian knows that violence is seldom in the place as much as in the people.

Jin-Saotome hasn't had a good battle in more than a month, everything in the Keep's realm ending up on the recieving end of Jin's explosively charged hand-to-hand attacks. Sheer rage transformed into devastating blows of force by non-magical means. Mages were always the first to subcuum to this, always putting up some 'wall of force' or casting confusion on Jin.

Joey 's just a scrawny wee thing, scuffing her beaten-booted feet along the dusty path along the stream, the little girl with wild curling hair that looks to ba half on its way to forming dreadlocks from lack of care. Her face pale and set into a frown as occaisionally grubby fingers swipe at red rimmed eyes. The noises though eventually get the girls attention, her face brightening with inquisitiveness that usually lead her into trouble, edging towards the group with her hands going into the pockets of her rather muddy dungeress.

Kade saw Glyniss stand in front of Za'ad, you then moved to attack the man she was standing in front of Jin.

BenjaminBlue looks over to Robert Darklord and offers a comforting smile. "I'm sure that all of us have been through reckless times. And as for when you were younger, I can't offer any advice on that subject." Blue tried his best to joke with the intimidating figure and did what he could to be polite. "Still, I find it admirable that you don't engage in combat as well. A lot can be said from the way you carry yourself, sir."

Lafiel lets electricity dance between her fingers in her boredom. she's no longer paying the slightest bit of attention to the fight, beyond any threats towards herself

Flash_Guardian just stands there watching everything seem to happen all at once, feeling a bit like he's watching some kind of combat scene in a movie, separate from the action.

Robert~Darklord looks at the man "I never said I did not engage in combat bub, but I don't do it recklessly like Jinny is doing at the moment. I'm part of a merc group that does work around the area, and it satisfies my demon side quite nicely"

[Flash_Guardian ] ((Glyniss just got disconnected. Can we say that Kade shoved Glyniss out of the way in time and then Jin rebounds off of the field of force?))

Za'ad is leaving, and that's that. The skeletons are keeping up that protective barrier, and like golems, they can last indefinitely, when not being damaged. And since they're inside that same 'shield' as their master, they won't be damaged.

Jin-Saotome 's 'unstoppable force' meets an 'impenertable' object... And he indeed doesn't go through it, instead he moves it, jolting Za'ad and his skeletons forward (along with poor Kade) a good ways and possibly up in the air if the conditions are right.

[Jin-Saotome ] ((sure, no need in Kade taking flying lessons!))

Za'ad doesn't take any hits at all when they're called, so there's no jolting going on at all.

BenjaminBlue smiles and gives a quick nod. "Of course. Well said, sir. I'm glad that you can use your dark heritage for constructive purposes. It is a lot more than what can be said for the rest of the rabble about these parts." Blue would be speaking about vampires mainly, but he didn't want to point fingers.

Joey 's eyes go wide at the skeletons, and the fighting and the well...the everything really. She's eight years old, this is like Harry Potter and Action Man, all at once. The leaping diving man getting a little "Oooh..." Of appreciation, that was brave, like she was gonna be one day. She edges close, and closer, she wanted to touch a skeleton, cause that would be cool...The child with no perception of danger as she scampers up from behind the group

Lafiel looks over at the little kid and gives a small smile to her, the first sign of emotions she's shown

Jin-Saotome wants to see at least one person go flying... He really hasn't seen any action in a month! Do you know how frusterating that gets? And those poor wooden training dummies, Jin has to pay for them each time he destroys one. That gets expensive, they won't even let him into the Arena unless he pays off his 'tab'...tsk.

Flash_Guardian acks! and spots a small child, quickly racing forward to scoop her out of harm's way.

Jin-Saotome 's standing there with a very disappointed look on his face, his scarf burnt down to a crisp, and a trench in the ground where he moved a wall-of-force and some people a good twenty feet. Still he's not happy.

Glyniss_McMasters is back......and confused at whats going on

Joey blinks, the girl scooped up, this was the part she'd been warned about, strangers and talking to her..only this one picked her up instead. A scream to shatter most glass within a mile radius, that high pitched sound only little girls, or testosterone challenged teenage choirboys can make, something animalistic lingering in her eyes, a primative fear as stout booted feet kick in wild unison for the man's um...naughty parts that you can't show cause it's not polite. While teeth are attempted to be dug into his shoulder, like some raging hamster. She was scared, duh, and wanted to be put down

Kade has pushed you out of the way it seems Glyniss, unless you have any other ideas.

Robert~Darklord reaches into his coat, withdrawing his custom .45 before he opens it up, checking to see that it's still loaded before he slams it shut "My demon blood is not my dark heritage bible boy. It's what makes me different from everyone else, or otherwise I would just be one of Them . One of the weak mortals who have nothing to look forward to except death"

Jin-Saotome whirls around with fists still crackling with destructive rage and yells to Flash, "What?!? Is it too much to ask for someone to stand their ground? I was hoping for something BIG instead of bone-knights!"

[Lafiel ] "Sir, put the kid down. she isn't liking being picked up"

Jin-Saotome clenches his fists and tries to calm himself, some of that 'woooosah, woooosah' stuff he saw in a movie, rubbing his ears a bit.

Glyniss_McMasters guesses she gets pushed and just to satidsfy Jin's ego goes FLYing out the way....

Robert~Darklord holsters the gun as he glares at Jin "Calm the f*** down and stop whining like a damn woman already! I am not in the f***ing mood!"

Jin-Saotome actually thought Kade intercepted or something... or Flash... heh

Flash_Guardian quickly sets the girl down some distance later, then whirls and faces Jin angrily. He claps his hands together loudly; the impact creates a bright flash of white light. He slowly separates his palms as the same light encircles his hands, curling his fingers around the gathering energy before steadying his hands. "Flash Bolt!" he calls, punching five times in rapid succession. Each punch ends in a loud Crack! and a burst of energy, sending five globes of concussive energy toward Jin. The bolts won't physically damage him, but it won't feel too good either, the equivalent of five separate blows to the back of the head in energy form speeding towards Jin.

Kade quickly moves to where Glyniss has fallen then, crouching beside her, "Glyniss?!"

BenjaminBlue looks over to his damp little book to his side and attempts to flip through the pages, only getting smeared writing and wet clumps of pulp. What happened? It would seem like he would have to scribe another Holy Book. "A lot of people do seem to strive in vain. That is an unavoidable fact. But I have faith that some people can make more out of themselves and work towards something better. I have seen plently of immortals strive towards their own destruction. It is all just sadness in the end..." Blue looks toward Jin and dons a small smile, taking enjoyment in his enthusiasm. It was amusing to watch to say the least.

Robert~Darklord looks at Blue, letting a grin crack his lips as he chuckles at that one for a moment, taking a drag of the cigarette "All I need is plenty of booze, plenty of smokes, plenty to eat, some really good sex with my wife, and plenty of time to be lazy, and i'm golden"

Lafiel sighs and rolls her colorless eyes at everyone's obvious want of fighting

Joey 's scared beyond the pale now, swearing, shouting, spells, demons...the child simply sits where she was deposited and wimpers, like she'd just watched the scene in Bambi where his mother got shot. The pale faced urchin moving to her feet slowly, grey storm tossed eyes travelling over the people gathered before she starts backpeddling.

Jin-Saotome raises an angry eyebrow and says, "What the.. sonic booms?" right before the blasts strike him. He reels back at the impact of each of Flash's bolts as sparks of energy ignite against Jin's suit and expand out his back in little flashes! Jin coughs and heaves, taking a few steps back as he catches his breath and holds his head.

Glyniss_McMasters opens her eyes...unsure what had happened...one minute standing watching what had caused the trouble walking off....and then wham....feeling a solid mass of muscles as she goes flying off to the side...head turning as eyes focus on Kade looking down at her...blinking ...." Wha' happen'...?" moving to push herself up as frowning as she feels a kinds sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach

Lafiel looks over to the child and offers another tiny whisp of a smile "are you alright, kid?"

Kade reaches down to help Glyniss up to her feet, "You tell me, some jack ass with a light show was hurling himself at you."

BenjaminBlue grins in response to Robert's comment, twirling the end of his mustache. "So long as you can be happy, that is what truly matters. Everybody has their own expectations and standards to keep. That is what makes us unique." Blue smiled to himself. Somewhat within his mind, he felt that he had met some kind of commonground with this man. Whether that would be the truth or just something he fabricated himself, he made him happy nevertheless.

Flash_Guardian takes a step forward defiantly at Jin. "That was totally reckless, Jin. Look at the mess you've made of this place!" he shouts, gesturing with a hand to the crater nearby and a few assorted flames here and there that are slowly dying out. "You want a fight? Fine! I'll fight you!" he yells, jabbing a thumb at his chest and glaring at the man, then flinging a finger to point off into the distance. "But we take it someplace else!"

Joey 's wide-set eyes narrow a tad, lips puckering into a near pout. She wasn't talking to strangers now at least, she was just going to high tail it up that tree, girl turned monkey it seems from the way the gangly red-rimmed eye girl shoots up the trunk.

[Lafiel ] "can we all just please grow up?"

Jin-Saotome trudges forward and says in response to Blue's nifty and thoughtful...um thoughts, "You know you really *cough* got something there Big Blue *cough cough*, keep those spirits high!" Jin points a finger Flash's way and asks in an annoyed tone, "Where'd you learn that trick?"

Robert~Darklord hears Flash saying that he is going to fight Jin as he turns back to Blue "Lets follow them if they do indeed fight, and i'll bring along some food and something to drink, non alcoholic for you since your a man of the cloth, but expect me to drink plenty of Jack Daniels"

Glyniss_McMasters nods dumbly as Kade helps her up....her leg giving way under her before she steadies herself looking up and around...at the others here.....before looking back at Kade...." Yer ahur'?"

Lafiel is getting irritated at the prolonged fight, which is unusual for her. usually she enjoys watching a fight, but for some reason, it's annoying her to now end

Kade shakes his head, and keeps a firm grip on Glyniss' arm when her leg gives way, "Not that I know of, but I'm about ready to hurt someone....."

Jin-Saotome eh's and pokes at Flash's chest, a small grin forming now as he sees Flash get into the spirit of things. "Reckless eh? A mess eh?? And what were you doing with all those flames and sorcery stuff? Light some birthday candles? You were gonna torch whatever I broke into pieces!" Jin chuckles a bit then goes back to looking serious, or trying to.

Glyniss_McMasters rises a brow..." Wh' ter guy' alef' ain' he.....ain' no on' ahurtin'...." she swallows softly.....glancing up as her attention is taken by Jin and Flash...her own temper was getting up to boiling point when she was talking to the guy ...

Joey 's peering from the branches, looking at the sliding All Amerian Action Hero who'd slide in earlier, her face from the leaf cover rather like the Chesire Cat, there was that little smile now she felt safer, a slight arrogance to her timidity that spoke of a fast growing confidence "Hurt the one that cursed! Cursing is baaad..Yu huh, Mister" She doens't shout, but her voice carries...Soft and sing-song.

Jin-Saotome slaps a little post-it to Flash's shoulder that reads, [Sparring match Rain Check]

Kade growls softly, and tries his best to hold the change in check, "There's still that light show jackass that Flash is dealing with...."

Flash_Guardian tilts his head to one side, slightly amused yet still rather peeved at Jin's irresponsibility. At least he seemed to be getting some leverage over things. "My own personal variant on a common spell. And I didn't learn it, really." As he gets poked in the chest, he seems irritated once more. "And for your information, I was going to throw that fiery summon of his into the stream and finish it off. I was trying to stop the fight! But since you seem so keen on getting violent, why don't we both do it in the right and proper fashion, eh?" He stares into Jin's face. "Or are you quite finished? Yeah, I guess you are. Fine, then. Another day." Flash stands down and quickly moves to start cleaning up the mess, putting out any fires and such.

BenjaminBlue turns to Robert and nods. "That would be ideal!" Although he really didn't want to watch anybody fight, it would only be a sparring match with Jin and Flash. Nobody would be hurt anyway. "And opposed to what you just said, we priests do enjoy a glass of fine wine every now and again. But..." Blue paused and affirmed his thoughts with a nod. "Something milder would be best."

Lafiel hopes the fight is over, for now at least

Robert~Darklord thinks about that for a moment before he looks back to Blue "I'll bring you some Bud Light dude, since it's practically water with alcohol in it"

Jin-Saotome shakes his fist and mutters some obscure comments about dragons and ninjas, then snuffs the smouldering end of his scarf out and bows to Blue, Flash, Glyniss, and anyone else looking his way. "Right... situation handled. And this time I handled things in a much calmer manner, so no complaning!" Jin heads out to get another scarf from the Blodia, leaving everyone to wonder how much more destructive Jin could possibly be in combat.

BenjaminBlue replies with a simple tilt of his head. "I'll take you up on that offer another time. It would seem like it has been postponed for now. Now, if it's not too rude of me, I must help my friend make order of things again." Blur stood to his feet and offered his hand to Robert.

Robert~Darklord yawned as he took the hand, pulling himself up but he held on a moment, giving the man's hand a soft squeeze "You know, your actually quite handsome in a french musketeer kind of way bible boy" He let go as he spit the cigarette out and grounded it into the dirt ((Throw flags!))

Glyniss_McMasters sighs unsure who Kade is referring to as the light show.....the golem was gone like its creator....though she frowns and glares at Flash when catching on about some fight being arranged a mess around or not a fight is still a fight....sighing as she sees the destruction that's been caused..." Ohh shoo' look' ter plac'..." begining to limp around trying to asses the damage and maybe put right what she can which isnt much

Jin-Saotome notes Ladiel and Kade are the hecklers. A good stadium event MUST have hecklers!

Flash_Guardian moves from place to place, a flick of his wrist and a few words here and there as an icy blue ray springs out to eliminate a burning twig or a smoldering plant here and there. At last when he is satisfied that there is no more threat of fire, he turns his attentions to the crater, offering Jin little more than a wave as he departs. He stands there, hands on his hips, wondering what on earth he's going to do with it ... looks like a cherry bomb went off, followed by a bulldozer plowing the surroundings. He lets forth a long sigh. This was going to take a while. "Anyone have a shovel?" he groans.

Kade bites back a comment about how Jin handled the situation, and turns to face Glyniss, "Okay, what the hell just happened here?"

Joey clambers down the tree with the same ease that she went up it, scampering over to the woman trying to set things right. She stopped a good few feet off, just watching with a tilted head.

Glyniss_McMasters was mostly either slapping things out with her hat or using it to sccop water up to pour onto tiny flames she finds...limping as usual with the metal clicks following close....

Flash_Guardian suddenly smiles as an idea strikes him. "Nobody touch the crater!" he tells everyone, indicating the area with both hands. "I'll be right back!" He closes his eyes and concentrates, his palms face down and stretched outward. A gust of wind swirls around Flash, stirring his hair and sending ripples through his clothing. A tiny circle of yellow energy begins to form around Flash's feet, slowly rising in height and increasing in width and roundness so as to become a sphere, gradually crawling slowly around Flash's form, encasing him completely until he cannot be seen. The brilliantly lit sphere begins to flicker and waver, until at last there is a loud crack as the sphere bursts and dissipates, leaving behind only a few golden sparks to float through the air and fade away.

Lafiel tries to help with clean up as well and lifts her arm. the fires that are still burning (if any) are immediately put out and some of the smaller trenches are put back to rights. the bigger ditches she can do nothing with. they aren't in her level of skill to fix

BenjaminBlue released his grip from Robert and threw a lock of his golden hair behind his shoulder, turning towards the rest of the group. "Oh... I know..." he said smugly, walking with as much poise as any man of the court would do. "It will be a lot of hard work, but if we combine our efforts, this job will seem like just another trivial task." Blue looked about to see if there were any tools or something that would help. He quickly turned his attention to Flash's outburst and watched him work what ever it was that he was doing. (?)

Kade blinks as he looks down and sees Joey watching Glyniss, "Ummm, whose this, and is there something I should know?"

Robert~Darklord yawns again as he keeps standing there, letting everyone do the work while he stood back and relaxed for the moment. He didn't feel like doing anything, so he wasn't going to, simple as that

[Flash_Guardian ] A spark of golden light shines suddenly a few feet away from the crater. As you watch, the light begins to expand, eventually forming a large golden sphere of swirling magical energy. The energy shimmers and shifts, then finally begins to fade, revealing the form of Flash, who appears to be holding a small sapling with both hands, both within the vortex as the yellowish light becomes translucent, transparent, and finally vanishes altogether, leaving only a small swirl of wind around Flash's feet in its passing wake. He stands there holding his five foot tall baby tree by the trunk, branches unharmed and roots dangling with clumps of dirt still clinging, looking around to regain his bearings.

Joey switches her gaze to Kade, unblinking grey eyes, but not a smile in sight. She was jsut watching, and carefully not speaking ot strangers, like she'd been told.

Glyniss_McMasters blinks head turning to look at Kade not sure what his referring to straightening up as the fire she was fighting had suddenly gone out....twisting around to look at emm....Joey....not saying a word ...before nodding to the child " Howd' ter" sideglancing to Kade....before sparks and light draw her attention to Flash and the crate

Flash_Guardian quickly moves and stands by the crater, kneeling beside it and gently lowering the sapling into the hole. Plenty of space for the small tree to be planted. Flash smiles happily, glad that the thought came to him. Unfortunately, he has to hold the tree there with both hands lest it fall sideways and harm someone else, so he looks around to the others. "Don't suppose anyone could spare a hand?" he asks pleadingly to all those around, looking to each in turn ... he offers a great big smile to the little girl nearby before turning to gaze at the next person.

Lafiel figures she's done her part and makes her way to the tavern, or pub. same thing. whatever

Kade blinks a little bit, then shrugs and wanders over to Flash, "Sure, what do you want me to do?"

[Flash_Guardian ] The young tree seems rather out of place with the other trees nearby, appearing more like what one would find exploring the high hills that surround the Keep rather than by a forested stream.

Joey gives the man who picked her up a glare, solemn little wretch wasn't she. Hands stuck in her pockets, though at closer glance it's obvious she's knotted her shoelaces, rather than tied them, not quite as self-sufficient as she likes to think . She shouldn't be here, mind, her glances up and down the bank give that much away

Flash_Guardian tries his best to hold the young tree upright with both hands, grinning at Kade, though his voice is slightly strained from the effort. (Not sure just how large a tree Flash could handle. Perhaps it's a bit more than five feet in height.) "Just throw some dirt over the roots, if you could," is all he says.

BenjaminBlue sits himself down again and just watches for the time being. Landscaping had never been one of Ben Blue's strong points and it would most likely remain that way. Instead, he just leaned back against the rock and looked towards Glyniss. "So, have you decided yet?"

Kade looks the tree Flash is holding up and down before looking back at him, "Errr, sure you don't want me to hold it Flash? I'm not much of a gardner myself, always been better at manual labor."

Glyniss_McMasters slaps her soaked stetson back upon her mop of hair...tilting it a little as she watches the planting....a good step in the right direction...head turning as she catches Bluey's words...." Wha' tha' preache' ma'?"

Flash_Guardian just groans. "Alright, if you think you can manage, I'll bury the roots." Not what he'd planned, but that'll work just as well. He waits for Kade to take hold before letting go.

Joey scurries forward, and starts to scoop handfuls of dirt in, the girl on her knees by the little hole, in her element with and excuse to get grubby

Robert~Darklord yawns again as he walks over, sitting down next to Ben as he fished out another cigarette, lighting it before he took a long drag, just watching everyone else for the moment as he was still feeling lazy

Kade grunts slightly as he gets a hold of the tree, and nods to Flash when he has a firm grip on it.

BenjaminBlue lets himself slump against the rock plucks a flower from the ground. "What kind of flower are you?" he said with a mischivious grin and a sweet voice. Ben scooted to the side to make room for Robert as he decided to join them.

Flash_Guardian nods back, releasing the tree into Kade's grasp, and kneeling beside the small girl, seeming a little bashful. "Sorry I scared you earlier," he apologizes, taking off his belt pouch and placing it nearby. "I'm Flash."

Ace_Maverick lopes through the shadows, hands in his pockets and a smile on his face. "So, this's where you got off to..." A soft voice meant for a child, which means one person out of the group.

Glyniss_McMasters chuckles softly..limping over closer to Bluey...." Ohhh shoo' wha' aflowe' yer thin' I a'..?" sideglancing to the planting couple...eyes dropping at the child helping them...head turning slightly noticing Dark's move

Joey 's busily scooping dirt into the hole with gusto, both hands employed to push mounds of soil in. A little guilty flair in those grey eyes of hers, eyes that match the man obviously speaking to her. Bashful now, as she stops mid handful, dirt in either palm as she rises to her feet, the child even grubbier than usual "Went for a walk..." Avoidant of meeting the mans eyes.

Ace_Maverick drops slowly to his knees next to her, "And knocked over a tree? You are gettin' strong!" A silly little grin as he scoops up some dirt to help the process along.

Joey looks aghast a moment, her lower lip wobbling "I didn't do it..." dirt dropped to the floor before she realises he was playing, that ol' grin wobbling onto pouting lips "You're so silly...Da-- Ace." Yeah she was stil clinging to the guilt trip

BenjaminBlue brings his hand to his chin and ponders for a moment of deep thought. That wouldn't be an easy question for him to answer. "You carry the qualities of many different flowers. Not a rose. Too many people use a rose as an example in hopes of romancing a lady such as yourself. I woud think that you are more like an apple blossom." Blue sat quietly for a moment before nodding again. "Yes, you are most definately an apple blossom, Lady Glyniss."

Kade watches Ace as he approches the girl, offering the man a friendly nod as he continued holding the tree in place.

Flash_Guardian blinks, setting the belt pouch down on the ground beside him as he looks up to the approaching man. "Thank you both!" he says quickly, bringing a palm to the pouch and uttering some quick words that are difficult to make out. All at once, the pouch swells to the size of a large sack, and Flash quickly bends over and reaches inside, rifling through the contents as he searches for something. "C'mon, there's gotta be something in here that will help ..." It was an awfully large hole, after all, being three feet deep at its center.

Robert~Darklord smirks as he looks over at Blue, raising an eyebrow at the flower question "Okay bible boy, if your so good at telling what kind of flower people are, I dare you to try and guess what I am" He took another drag as he waited

Ace_Maverick pokes a finger out to smear a dirt stain over her nose, "You sure? This one's got your name all over it. I mean, how many times do I have to tell you not to knock down trees. Tsk tsk." Another chuckle as bigger handfuls of dirt are tossed into the hole, a nod to Kade in response.

Glyniss_McMasters rises a brow as her mind quickly skims over the emmm...propeties of apple blossom...." An...jus' awha' doe' tha' amea'....ho' I afi' inter tha'?" easing herself slowly onto a nearby fallen tree trunk

Flash_Guardian eventually emerges with a pair of china plates and a small skillet. "Guess these will have to do," he says, offering the two plates to the other pair and taking the skillet for himself, which he quickly uses to start moving dirt to fill the hole in.

Kade just blinks at Flash, holding back a soft snicker, "Got a kitchen sink in there as well?"

BenjaminBlue flashed a smug smile to Robert and crossed his arms. "That is an easy question to answer, if I'm not being to bold to say so." Blue bowed his head and said with a flick of his wrist, "A snapdragon."

Joey can't help it, she giggles, a healthy sound as she smears her muddy hands down her fathers cheeks "S'not knocked down no more, so ya ain't got nuthin' on me.." Someone had been watching late night cop shows.

Flash_Guardian chuckles at Kade's remark. "Why? Is yours broken?" He grins as he digs, looking back to the grey eyed man. "So you know this little lady?" he asks casually. "Yeah, she really gave this tree what for! You should've seen it!" he informs the man, playing along and winking to the little girl with a smirk.

[Ace_Maverick ] "Not true..." He pours a handful of dirt onto her head. "I got dirt on you, kiddo." And now for the escape, though slow enough to make him easily caught.

Robert~Darklord keeps the smirk as he lets out a soft chuckle at the man's response "Only a snapdragon? They must not have a flower that can reflect my rage then"

Ace_Maverick gives Flash a look on his way out, "Of course, she's my daughter. A Maverick through and through." A tip of the hat, then the running.

Joey squeals, two huge handfuls of dirt claimed and she charges after the man without a backwards glance, true the dirt in her hair made little difference, he'd be hte one brushing it out, but that didn't stop her throwing the dirt at him, before trying to climb up his back, after a leap.

Kade grunts again as he adjusts his grip on the tree, "You should know Flash, you're the last person to stay at my camp."

Ace_Maverick may be Fox's shaman, but he'll do just fine as a horse with a piggy's back.

Glyniss_McMasters leans back leaving the two males to talk.....a soft hum coming to her lips...

BenjaminBlue looks back towards Glyniss and nods. "Well, as opposed to a rose which requires a lot of care and tending to make bloom, an apple blossom occurs more naturally and easily than a rose would. It displays itself in soft shades of white and red, a color showing the lady like quality I think you possess. But also, it is country flower. It is able to bloom without constant tending and a watchful eye. I also believe that your talents and virtues bloom on their own, without the need of anybody's say so or help. And besides, one rose may be beautiful, but the sight of the thousands of apple blossoms being carried on the wind in an orchard is gorgeous." Blue didn't mean to flatter her. He simply spoke the truth and nothing more.

Flash_Guardian is shocked at the ordeal with the dirt and the hair, laughing at the pair as they run off, shaking his head as he seems to lose two pair of hands in the process. He returns to his makeshift shoveling. "Really? And why's that?" he asks Kade.

BenjaminBlue looks back towards Robert and smiles. "I could say you are a venus fly trap or a type of fungus, but it wouldn't be so kind to the ears. Would it, sir?"

Chibi_Kivisto was approaching the stream this morning, rubbing at his eyes tiredly. He hadn't slept much all night. To much pacing, tossing and turning, and the odd feeling that...something was watching him. When he reaches the stream, he stops, glancing about. Where did she say to go? Wasn't there a camp near here? He'd walk through the stream, heading in the direction he was sure she had said it was in. Not to mention, he could hear voices. She had said people were usually talking there....

Kade changes subjects as the girl and her father leave, he drops his voice and speaks softer to Flash, "Who was your friend, the guy who did this, that almost hurt Glyniss...."

Robert~Darklord narrowed his eyes at him slightly as he crosses his arms over his chest 'Don't sugarcoat anything with me bub, because I don't do it with anyone I know, and I make no exceptions for anyone"

Glyniss_McMasters chuckles softly to Blue shaking her head a little she wasn't taking it as a compliment.....a man with flowery words...a honeysuckle tongue...

Flash_Guardian begins to pant for breath, the work almost done now. "His name's Jin," he tells Kade grimly. "I must admit, I'm rather shocked at his behavior. I saw a new side of him tonight." Flash growls under his breath, shaking his head as he fills in the last of the dirt. "Hold it there just a bit longer while I tamp it down," he says, quickly moving to do just that. He stomps away at the earth with both feet, hopping in place to pack it down and make sure the tree stays in place.

BenjaminBlue raises his hands as if to give up to Robert and shakes his head. "That is the only way I know, good sir. I am helpless to even myself sometimes. I could never grow a forked tongue to say anything that wouldn't suit you." By now, Blue was just playing around. He always found it kind of funny when people would distrust him for the way he talks. Whether anybody liked it or not, that was how he spoke. And Blue never lied.

Kade nods slowly, and stands back a bit, letting the tree stand on its own for a moment to check out Flash's work, "So he's not alway like, that?"

Chibi_Kivisto would be rather cautious, despite Glyniss's words to him the other day. Sure she said they were nice people...but some people, even if they were nice, might not like him. So he'd slowly peer out from behind a tree, glancing about to try and spot who all was here. Not as much of a gathering as the pub usually gets, but its still quite a good number of people. He'd watch from his 'hiding' spot for now, wondering if he should approach them, or wait to see if they would leave....

Robert~Darklord laughs softly as he leans back againist the rock, enjoying the relaxation for the moment as the breeze blew over his face, enjoying the cold air quite alot "Perhaps there is just no way to correctly define me, but I do enjoy the sound of that quite abit"

Cannon returneroth, or something to that extent. He regrets having to miss the fun earlier on, but now his high-priority errands are complete again for the time being, he felt the inclination to return to this unfamiliar place to find out what slightly more familiar occupants are up to now. Yeah, thats by way of saying he walks back here from wherever he walked to earlier. Expression: idle.

Flash_Guardian continues tamping the soil down, which quickly turns into a rather poor attempt at celtic dancing near its end. He chuckles, at last stepping away from the tree and looking up at it. The soil seems to hold it, as Flash nods in approval. "Well, he wasn't like that when I saw him. But I haven't seen much of him to really tell, I guess. He seems like a nice guy, just ... kinda ... careless with the power he wields, I would say." Flash frowns. "I hope this fight I've just arranged is a good idea," Flash says, biting his lower lip and seeming rather worried.

Glyniss_McMasters was watching the planting coming to an end....half an ear listening to the chatter of the men beside her...

Flash_Guardian wonders if anyone is going to ask him where on earth he came up with a small sapling on such short notice.

Cannon comes back to.... planting? Tree planting? Now what could possibly have necessitated that? That is of course assuming that it became a necessity for some reason. People besides himself don't generally just go around planting trees. (Yes, besides himself)

Lafiel brushes her blue hair back behind her pointed ear and shifts her bow more comfortably on her shoulder, not paying much attention to anyone

BenjaminBlue raises an eyebrow and smirks. "Perhaps I just can not find the proper words to describe you properly, you may be right." Blue clasped his hands together and nodded to Flash and Kade. "All is as it should be, yes?"

Cannon walks right over, bold as you please, and stands right next to the sapling Flash just planted. He looks straight down at it, then at the guy who planted it, then back at the sapling itself. Theres a moment's thought, then he seems to shrug dismissively, or was it unconcernedly? Either way, he shrugs, and turns his attention momentarily to other things.... other things like old Benny-boi over there.

Chibi_Kivisto would look to Glyniss. Letting out a small sigh, he'd try to make up his mind. But that damnable voice in the back of his head....it wouldn't let him think straight to make any good decisions. He still wasn't sure if the voice was his own thoughts, or if it was something else. It probably was. He just didn't know what.... After a good while of standing there, he'd start in to the camp/clearing where everyone was at, making his way over to Glyniss.

Kade nods as he listens to Flash, making sure the tree is secure by giving a gentle push, "He was careless enough to almost hurt her, Flash. If you don't knock some sense into him, something else may need to be done."

Kade blinks now as Cannon walks up to the tree, "Errr, howdy there, can we help you?"

Glyniss_McMasters turns her head casually....and grins broadly seeing Chibi....." Well...Howdy...." pushing herself up from her leaning lazily position the click as the metal unlocks....as she stands...limping to Chibi knowing how much this is costing him in doing with so many about he didnt know.." I se' yer com' avisitin' lik' I sai' yer coul'....I go' aheap' of folk' fer yer ter me'" getting to him crouching down as she bites her bottom lip arms going around the child in a hug

Cannon looks at Kade and almost seems to smile a little. Its not an honest, familiar smile so much as the kind of smile that is programmed in and not used much. He queries softly: "It is a good place to plant trees here?"

Flash_Guardian looks up at the mostly humanoid ... person ... as he eyes the new addition to the stream bank. "What do you think?" he asks. "Is it in straight?" He then turns back to Blue, all smiles. "I'm actually surprised that I thought of this tree when I did. When we unearthed the Triad a couple weeks ago, it left a large crater in the hillside. This tree was left halfway out of the ground with its roots exposed. Probably wouldn't have lasted much longer. But I think here, at least, it'll have a chance." He looks the small tree up and down admiringly, running a hand up and down its side.

Kade shrugs slightly at Cannon's question, "Its as good a place as any I guess...."

Cannon glances up at the sky, "Good sunlight?", then at the ground, "Good soil?" ... before finally returning his attention to Kade. " She said I should keep an eye out for good places to plant her trees."

Chibi_Kivisto would strain a smile onto his features, despite not feeling very happy at all. Sure he was happy to see her, and glad that she didn't seem to hate him, though she really didn't have any reason to anyway. But since his meeting with Kaz last night.... Things just don't seem to be very well. He'd wrap his arms about her, returning the hug as he shuts his eyes. "Hello....I hope I'm not interupting anything though...."

BenjaminBlue rises to his feet and gives Flash a nod of approval. "There is plently of water here, and sunlight shouldn't be an issue I think. Just so long as we can avoid any more unpleasantries, it should remain here for a very long time." Blue casually approached the tree and gave it the ol' once over, as if he actually knew what he was doing. "This should do nicely."

Flash_Guardian nods to Kade. "I'll certainly try," he promises. Behind him, he can see a small boy approaching Glyniss, who offers him a hug. The sight makes him smile happily. Now this was what a place like the streambank was supposed to be about. Looking back to Kade and Cannon, Flash shrugs. "Well, the tree will need to adjust a little. It's more used to a high hilltop environment ... low rainfall, colder temperatures, less oxygen, high winds ..." Flash blinks. "Well heck, I bet this tree will find its new home to be paradise!" He laughs as he thinks about it.

Kade nods slowly, more then a little puzzled by Cannon's comment, "Who might, She, be?"

Lafiel looks at the tree and lays a hand on the trunk, her hand glowing a soft blue. she nods as if to herself, then walks further downstream of everyone

Glyniss_McMasters caps the childs head as her fingers gently stroking the soft texture of his hair...." Naw yer ain' interruptin'....loo' theyr' aplantin' a tre' in a ne' hom' so it aca' gro' stron' an' tal'....do yer wann' mee' ter folk' her'?"

Flash_Guardian also wishes to know who she is. He beams as Blue approaches and inspects the sapling. "I'm sure it'll be just fine, after its roots take hold." Flash tilts his head to one side curiously as Lafiel seems to perform some form of magic upon the tree, watching her curiously and trying to analyze the energies with his understanding and knowledge of magic.

[Lafiel ] no, i didn't use magic on the tree. i don't hold that kind of power. and nor did i read your mind. the look on your face and body language was sufficient enough. i was merely checking it's strength. it's strong

Cannon blinks momentarily, then answers quite succinctly. " She is the Dea Ex Machina ... She created me, just as she created the Black Araucaria... one of her trees."

Cannon puts on that distinctly pre-programmed smile again as he finishes: " Her trees are more efficient than normal ones."

Chibi_Kivisto would glance over to the tree, smiling a bit as he watches it, looking back at Glyniss after a moment. "The tree spirit will be happy then, that its home isn't going to die." He'd look about, looking at each of the people nearby. He'd frown a bit, shaking his head slowly before looking to the ground. "They're busy talking....if they want to greet me...then ok...but...I wanted to talk to you really..."

Robert~Darklord narrows his eyes as he hears Cannon, looking at the man as he takes another drag of his cigarette, not wanting to hear those three latin words used in a phrase

Kade frowns slightly, studying Cannon again, "I can't say I've heard of her before.....she from around these parts?"

Flash_Guardian nods to Lafiel, tilting his head as an idea strikes him. He looks back to Blue curiously. "Hey, Blue, I don't suppose you could say a quick prayer for a once weakened tree that just found itself in a new home, could you? I mean, nobody here better to do such a thing than you." Flash grins hopefully, then turns back to the strange humanoid. "Can't say I've heard of her, either. Though her name sounds a bit too close for comfort to a phrase that I've heard elsewhere. Deus ex machina. Don't suppose we're talking about the same thing, are we?"

BenjaminBlue looks down to Cannon curiously before flashing a polite smile before sitting himself down beneath another tree. From his front pocket, he would remove an inkwell filled with silver ink and take the feather from his hat into hand, dipping it in the ink. Unfortunately for him, all of his paper is now ruin because he fell into the stream. So instead, he takes a piece of treebark and starts to rewrite the teachings of his order.

Glyniss_McMasters tilts her head looking at him " Ahhh shoo' thei' be might' please' ter mee' a critte' lik' yer..." she nods to Kade..." Tha' ter is ter fello' I asin' wit' he aplay' ter guita' al' fanc'......an ter gu' nex' ter him....ter on' lookin' alik' a su' bea' tha' Flash"

BenjaminBlue perks up instantly and smiles. "A prayer? I would be delighted!"

Lafiel decides to leave when the catches that a prayer isn't going to be sent. she doesn't believe and she doesn't want her negativeness to ruin the sacredness

Cannon 's cross-pupilled eyes narrow slightly. He isn't quite sure why they are insisting so much on questioning him about her , but he has no particular reason not to tell them in this instant. "Not from , but she has been here. I was informed that she spent quite some time here experimenting with the capabilities of enhanced organic bodies, and witnessed first-hand many of the unusual high-energy phenomena present in this area. I am one of the products of said research, and it is for the aforementioned reasons that I was sent to this realm."

Robert~Darklord looks at Blue "Count me out of your prayer bible boy"

Chibi_Kivisto would look towards Kade, and then Flash, listening to what Glyniss had to say about them, as he puts the names with faces. He'd shuffle his feet about, moving a bit in place, feeling slightly uncomfortable. He couldn't help but feel the little prick in the back of his mind, telling him not to trust them...but why shouldn't he? He trusted Glyniss, and she trusted them.

Cannon glances back to Flash at the mention of the Deus matter. " She is quite distinctly female. Deus means 'God', as Dea means 'Goddess'. My creator is the Goddess of Technology, in one manner of speaking."

Kade frowns more, and for a moment his lips curl back in a almost feral gesture, "The Weaver......"

Flash_Guardian hears his name mentioned by Glyniss, turning to look back at her and seeing the boy once more. He gives the pair a quick wave, then turns back to his existing conversation which held his interest for the moment. "Ahh. Goddess. Gotcha." He looks back to Kade curiously. "The Weaver? So you have heard of her, then?"

Cannon quirks a brow at Kade's reaction there, but continues: "And I am her son. She called me Cannon. I'm an anthromorphic, organic battery, energy collective device and ion cannon. I was named Cannon because 'Battery' allegedly 'didn't sound right'. I'm not sure I comprehend the reasoning, but I wouldn't question her judgement."

BenjaminBlue bows his head and hold his hands together. " ~Bless and praise you O Lord, hear our prayers and answer us. You, our Savior, are the hope of all the ends of the Earth and the distant seas. May your way be known upon Earth; among all nations your salvation. Cannon glances over at Benjamin, then at Robert. He seems puzzled. "Cool?" .... His skin quite suddenly turns a whole darker shade of grey, not quite black. The temperature in the air around him drops noticably. "Cool."

Kade shakes his head as he hears Flash's question, "I know of something like her, and that doesn't make me feel all that comfortable...."

Glyniss_McMasters twist a little biting back the sharp pain ....as she nods and points to Blue.....whispering to Chibi...." Hi' preache' ma'.....well.....Bluey..." pausing as she hears Bluey doing his cermony

Cannon looks back to Kade again. "I very much doubt that the one you speak of is the same as she. She was not a goddess born or brought about by belief, but self-made sacrifice to the natural progression of science."

[Cannon ] "That is to say she was mortal once, but found a method of self-improvement on an exponential scale that eventually broke its own boundaries and became effectively unlimited."

Kade nods as he listens to Cannon, "I'm gonna hold my judgment on your goddess, but I'd rather not see any of her trees takin' root around here either."

Flash_Guardian smiles as the prayer finishes, at last raising his head. "Thank you, Blue. You always say the most wonderful prayers." He gives the tree one last admiring look, hands resting on his hips with satisfaction. "Well, I guess I'm going to head off for the night. Oh, Kade, you never mentioned why I'm going to be the last to stay at your camp," he adds, blinking. He nods once more to the battery humanoid. "Well, I guess it was nice meeting you, err ... Cannon." Not the easiest name to say, really.

BenjaminBlue looks over to Cannon for only a moment before scribing a few silver letter into the scrap of bark he found. "Sacrifice? To become something that grand? What did she lose?" Blue reached in his vest pocket again and withdrew and pair of silver wired spectacles, placing them upon his perfect nose.

Cannon closes his eyes for just a moment and nods to Kade. "I believe I am aware of your concern. It is true that her creations are well in advance of the natural order of events brought about by evolution as standard on these worlds. I would however forward that the faunal life present in this realm known as 'The Keep' has become through various means well in advance of the floral life, and it is a wonder that there are any plants left here at all. Her creations may stand a better chance of survival in the long term."

Chibi_Kivisto once more nodded his head looking and listening to the prayer. He'd wince a bit, feeling a sharp stab of pain in the back of his mind. He'd look to Glyniss, waiting for her to finish telling him who everyone was. He wanted to talk about something else actually...

Robert~Darklord snickers at Blue's question and so knows the answer Cannon says as he reaches into his coat, pulling out a flask, popping it open before he takes a drink

Cannon twitches a little. He is being questioned by many people at once. His response to Benjamin is quite simple though: "Her sacrifice was herself. She ceased to be human and became technology."

BenjaminBlue waves to Flash and peers over his glasses with a smile. "Good night, Sir Flash. Until next we meet, as always."

Kade shakes his head and laughs softly as he hears Flash, "You were the last, not you are the last, Flash."

Robert~Darklord finishes the drink and laughs out loud at the answer "I knew it! In order to become better she had to give up that which was holding her back"

Cannon looks back to Flash, blinks again, then nod-bows oddly. It seems some way of politely saying goodbye, whatever else it might be.

Flash_Guardian spies Blue's bark-scrap and eyes it with some distaste, at last remembering the water-soaked book of his from earlier. He walks over to it, picking it up from wherever it happens to be, and holds it up, hidden from sight, turning it over and over and appraising it. "I see. Something happened to the place, and the camp's no longer there, I take it?"

Kade turns his attention back to Cannon now, "Gaia's got her own watching after her flora and fauna, we'll leave it at that."

Glyniss_McMasters nods to Dark...." I adon' kno' hi' reall' bu' he aseem' oka'....I thin' hi' acalle' Rober'..."

Cannon looks back to Robert again. "She gave up that which she knew less about and became what she was more familiar with. I believe they call it an irony that the moment she achieved mechanical perfection, the first thing she set her sights on was making a perfect organic body."

BenjaminBlue glances up again and shakes his head. "No, no. It's just that I would rather not head to any encampment any time soon." His mood seemed to have dropped a little before he would mask it with a happier face. "No worries. I'll be able to get this copied in due time."

Cannon 's eyes once more divert to Kade. If they keep this up they're going to end up wearing his sockets wide open and falling out. "Ah yes. Gaia. Her organic counterpart one might say, and considerably more passive. She worries that Gaia might not be able to maintain her creations much longer with the extreme levels of rampant energy in this realm. That, in fact, is precisely what I'm here for."

Chibi_Kivisto would geuss she was done, glancing at Robert. He was somewhat familiar. He thinks he's seen him before, but can't remember... Turning back to Glyniss, he'd bite his lower lip before speaking. "C...can I ask you something? A favor?"

Glyniss_McMasters nods leaning back as her hands just lightly stroke over his arms..." Shoo' yer ago ahea'"

[Chibi_Kivisto ] "Last night...someone said that....it was possible I had some sort of magic...or poison in me...that...effects myself and...a friend of mine whenever I'm near him. Is...there anyway you can help me find out if thats true or not?"

BenjaminBlue will be silent on that matter. That is all.

Flash_Guardian takes a deep breath and concentrates. All this spellcasting was making him rather weary. Holding the book in his right palm, he raises his left one and holds it over the book, closing his eyes and picturing Blue's book as he remembered it. A light green glow envelops Flash's hands which are still hidden from the others due to the way Flash is facing, the book vanishing into the depths of the light, quickly hidden from sight. A few moments later, the glow subsides and withdraws. Flash turns and hands the book back to Blue, a perfectly intact copy of Blue's original book, the pages straight and crisp, the cover fresh and new as if it was just bound. Everything is there except the words, which are probably still smudged and unreadable for the most part. "The least I can do, Blue," he offers sadly.

Robert~Darklord looks at Blue as he takes a drag, thinking about all the spells he knows before he speaks "Hey bible boy, hand over that book and i'll get it totally fixed for you"

Kade croses his arms over his chest as he listens to Cannon, "Whatever her plan is, you'll understand if I'm not to trusting of what she has created."

Glyniss_McMasters wrinkles her nose poundering his question..." Wel' I ain' ter one ter as'...bu' mayb' thes' her' folk' coul'.." looking up and around....unsure who to ask

Cannon nods to Kade. "It is alright. I trust She knows what she is doing. I must express her regret at having to take peoples choice away from them, but this world needs to be cleaned up and returned to a state in which the natural way can maintain its full reign once more. Would you not agree? Having so many powerful and destructive forces collectively gathered in one place is a very dangerous state of affairs."

BenjaminBlue accepts the book with one hand gives a grateful nod, resting his other hand upon the cover. "No, no, no. Don't think of it like that, Sir Flash. I do not expect you to judge any of your kind acts with such negativity. Just perform them with the same cheerful disposition you always seem to brandish and all will be well. High spirits, eh?" Blue said with a short but quick motion as he nodded to Flash expectantly.

Kade shrugs his shoulders as he listens, "I'd never agree taking away choice is the right way. You're just gonna get everyone up in arms to fight you. But yeah, I'd rather not have most of these destructive forces runing around."

Glyniss_McMasters chuckles softly rising her voice as she kinda calls over to Blue..." Yer sti' ago' ter roo' fer a coupl' anigh' anywa'" before twisting and looking over at Dark..." He see' ter kno' alo' of ter dar' kinda force'"

BenjaminBlue waves over to Robert and shakes his head. "That's alright. It was my weakness that ruined it in the first place. It will be my responsibility to fix it as well. But thank you for your offer." Although he sounded dismissive, he was glas that Robert offered to help a man of god like himself.

Cannon blinks suddenly, straightening bolt upright. His eyes seem to flash momentarily, the pupils undergoing a series of rapid contractions and expansions. It takes a moment or so for it to cease, but when it does, Cannon is left standing there... blinking a few times.

Chibi_Kivisto nodded his head, sighing as he looks to the ground. "I hope one of them can help...or that I can find someone soon....I don't think they'll let me near Kaz until its sorted out..."

[Cannon ] "It appears that I am overstepping my bounds and saying more than I should be saying. Maintaining ignorance is the key to preventing resistance, yes." o_o;

Robert~Darklord takes a drag as he looks at Gly "Yeah, and pardon my french, but I don't like it one fucking bit" He jumped to his feet as he strolled over towards Blue, looking at Cannon the whole time "Your figuring that out now? Did your common sense file get deleted somewhere along the way bub?"

Flash_Guardian just gestures back to the tree before them all with a hand. "We witnessed just such a destructive force a moment earlier, Cannon. A fight broke out here, with dangerous flames, explosions in the ground, and powerful forces like the ones you describe." Flash points things out with his hands to demonstrate for Cannon's benefit. "But after all is said and done, the landscape seems just fine. In fact, it's better off than it once was." He gestures back to the newly planted tree in the ground. "We planted this tree, which would have died had I not saved it, into the hole created by the fight. In a sense, the destruction paved the way for creation." Flash smiles at Cannon, letting that last point sink in.

Kade takes a step back away from Cannon at what seems to be a seizure, one hand dropping towards his knife, "Overstepping your bounds? Your master worried loose lips are gonna sink her ship?"

Cannon shakes his head. "Anyhow. My task will continue, and the probability of hiatus events occurring was predicted to be very low provided I stick 100% to the objectives." .... At this moment he narrows his eyes at Kade. He seems to be thinking something, and it happens to be on the matter of people getting up in arms. He doesn't quite say it though, especially due to confusion setting in. "Her ship? Which ship?"

Glyniss_McMasters squeezes Chibi's hand " Shal' we ago an' as' ter critte'.." pushing herself up wincing still holding Kivisto's hand as she begins limping over towards Darklord...

Chibi_Kivisto would look up at Glyniss, nodding his head. "Ok...." He'd follow along side of her, his eyes wandering over all those nearby. He was still a bit uneasy about things....

Robert~Darklord stops and looks at Cannon, a smirk still on his face as he examines the man "Hey you walking laptop, i'll give you one guess to guess what the hell species I am, since you claim to be so smart and crap like that"

Kade 's hand moves away from his knife now that Cannon seems to have settled down, "Its a figure of speech, forget it....so what are your objectives?"

Flash_Guardian grins. "Creation begets destruction, and destruction begets creation ... thusly, balance is achieved." Flash hmms amusedly. Lesson learned. With that, he bows his way out, waving to the others nearby. Time to get some rest after all that spellcasting. Seems to wear him out a lot more now that he's mortal again. Farewell and good night.
