'Haunted Memories Part 2'

Flash_Guardian is ever busy on his latest project ... the wooden deck that connects the wings of the dojo in a ring, and has the side effect of fencing off the gardens from the rest of the courtyard. And gardens there are! Someone has been very busy tending and nurturing lush greens and flowers of every hue. Flash has managed to erect two rows of support beams along a slowly curving stone foundation, and is now laying horizontal supports across, hammering them into place. It's tough work, especially for just one.

[Blue ] Dancing upon the air as if the very winds were the floors of a grand ballroom, the minstrel dressed in oceanic blue moved with whimsy just over the canopies of the nearby woods nestled in Redfang's crimson glow. The tips of his toes only touched the very tips of the leaves as he waltzed, the dulcid tones of Blue's serenade delicately strummed on strings of the purest gold. The bard glanced towards the new finery of the dojo with a smile during one fanciful turn, leaping from the heights of the tree he last stepped on only to land as softly of a feather. "Very nice..." praised him.

Flash_Guardian sets the next support in place, horizontally between two posts almost a foot off the ground. He bends over it and begins to hammer nails through, setting it in place as he has with the last dozen or more, his loud rapping heard throughout the clearing.

[Blue ] The instrument Blue had been so elegantly playing with lifting into the air and given freedom, the golden strands still being plucked and chords strummed on their own as Blue also pushed himself from the earth. His azure form floated lazily for a short while as he inspected the dojo's new working, finally spotting Flash as he turned around. "Ah... My dear friend, Sir Flash. Splendid workmanship! A work of art, to say the very least," said the duke with a smile.

Flash_Guardian pounds his nail the rest of the way in before pausing. "That could only be Blue." He pushes himself to his feat, neatly pivoting to face him with his hammer still in hand and a smile lighting his face. "Yup. Only Blue would be that kind," he says audibly, nodding to his handiwork. "Heck, it's not even finished yet, and you're already telling me it's a work of art." Flash chuckles lightly before bowing to the gentleman.

Blue finally touches his slippers to the ground and offers a bow in return for Flash's gracious welcome, whirling his arms in wide and slow spirals as his instrument circled around in the air once more before flying high into the air. "Ah, but should I even make a single brushstroke on canvas, is that also art? Unfinished, but nevertheless a masterpiece in due time," the man jested with a light-hearted laugh. "Indeed! Humble as always!"

Flash_Guardian just shrugs, grinning. "Some things never change. How are you, my old friend? What news does the wind bring to you in your travels?" Hardly one to stop working even for a moment, even with company, Flash heads back to the pile of lumber to retrieve the next piece.

Blue pushed himself into the air once more with a slight nudge against the ground, laying down against the most recent gust of wind while his song still played on. "As well as a person can be, I suppose. My illness has subsided and Aislinn has returned to me," he spoke with a long stretch. "I have no gossip for you, though. I'm afraid my night in the pub have been quite a blur during the last fortnight or so."

Flash_Guardian smiles, happy to at least have music to work by now. He quickly loses himself in the rhythm of the song, keeping his steps light and his movements swift, passing from task to task like the wind as he hammers the next support into place, and so forth. He smiles at such news. "Oh? Glad you're feeling better. And Aislinn! I have not heard from her in ages, it seems!" He pauses a moment to remember her face. "Is she well also?" At the latter of Blue's speech, Flash chuckles mischievously. "Well, I have some news for you ..."

Glyniss_McMasters opens her eyes hands coming up to rub at eyes...pushing herself up as she looks around half expecting to find everything was just another sick game of Hab's....yet there was the window with light streaming through it coursing her to squint her eyes still not used to such brillance.....she was in the bed...tentively she lifted the covers up pulling up her dress....yuk .....and stares at her leg......

Blue rolls around in the air and interlaces his fingers, resting his chin on the flat of both hands as he responded. "Doing better..." the gentleman said quitely, switching to the next topic. "News for me? I do hope it's not just stories, dear Flash. A story would surely put me sound asleep provided you surely told one to me," he said with a smirk, looking down to him.

Flash_Guardian just shakes his head from where he works outside the east wing, easily in earshot of the awakening woman ... he had left her windows open since the other day. Flash just looks Blue dead in the eyes and says three words with a grin. "Glyniss ... is ... back! " He cannot contain his excitement at such, letting out a few joyful laughs.

Blue 's mismatched eyes open a little wider as Flash relays the newest bit of information, attempting to hide his surprise by rolling on his back, one leg resting lazily on the other. "Oh, really..." the man feigned, his instrument drifting by in the background as he thought. "Would that mean she is no longer that horrid little creature anymore? At least, that is what I had assumed."

Glyniss_McMasters lifts her head up..glancing once more to the open window.....voices......but was they real....Hab had never kept a game going for so long getting great joy in her distress when bursting the bubble..pushing back the covers she swing her legs over the bed and.....walked.....to the window yet still not walking right upto it but staying somewhat in its shadow if possible as she listens

Flash_Guardian frowns at Blue's statement, clearly taken aback. "I beg your pardon?!" All work ceases as Flash stares, just stares incredulously at Blue, blinking in shock.

Blue shifted in his alated position and looked back down to Flash, the clamber of the work he had been doing going to utter and complete silence. "Was it not her that was the one who poisoned my beloved? Was it not her that took my other hand from me?" he asked down to Flash, his instrument also falling silent. "I had taken that Lady Glyniss was the beast with a name I dare not even invoke... If not that, then where had she been for this long while? I shudder to think where that might be." Blue's spell started to fade, his body gradually falling back to the ground while his harp flew with haste back under his arm, the man awaiting either a reply or an explanation.

[Flash_Guardian ] If the mood were not so filled with ire, Flash would have outright laughed. Instead, Flash simply gives Blue an odd look and a raised eyebrow. "Okay, hold it right there. Let me get this straight ... you thought Glyniss had turned into an evil imp somehow and was terrorizing Redfang?" And now it is Flash waiting for Blue's reply, still completely apalled.

Glyniss_McMasters brows knitted in a deep frown.....that voice belonged to the preacher man....and still she listened stepping back to the side of the window leaning her back against the wall

Blue glanced back, his arms crossed over his chest while the tip of his index claw stay pinned to his chin. "Do you think such a thing is beyond all possibility, Sir Flash?" he asked, trying to stay as genteel as he could be. "It had been my assumption, therefore turning now into accusation, that Lady Glyniss could have been the dispoiler of the tranquility of this island. I had heard various stories that led to this concept, an idea that had make my heart sink at the very though of such a thing..." the bard spoke, taking a lengthy sigh at the end of his sentence. "I am not saying that Glyniss is a horrid person, but rather that the creature that she had become was... I stand by what I had praised about her, but I am uncertain..."

Flash_Guardian shakes his head, putting forth a calming hand. "Well allow me to put your sinking heart at ease here and now, fair friend. Sit back and I will tell you the tale of how we captured the imp, and followed the trail of bread crumbs to Glyniss's prison in the depths of hell itself." Flash is all too happy to do so, sitting back on the grass right where he is and looking up to Blue to see if he is interested.

Blue would have been to accept Flash's suggestion were it not he heard the minute sounds of somebody who spied them, the bard peering over Flash's shoulder toward the dojo with a curious glare. "I thank you, Sir Flash, but I shall not be seated before your fair lady." A claw extended out sharply from the folding gauntlet resting on his chin toward the dojo, the bard finally finding occasion to silence himself for a moment.

Flash_Guardian blinks, looking back to the gardens behind him curiously. "Anwyn?" he calls out curiously, though does not recieve an answer. Apparently Flash is thinking of someone else when Blue says 'your fair lady.' He does not see the hiding Glyniss, and further hadn't heard anything either ... as Glyniss was likely being still and motionless as she listened in.

Glyniss_McMasters close her eyes as she steps away from the window....a hateful glance towards the harp she had almost thrown against the wall.....before heading towards the door...

Blue glanced towards Flash for a mere second, remembering the name from quite far back, when the island was covered in ice and snow. "Anwyn..." mumbled the duke, casting his contrasting gaze towards the grassy floor in thought before a small grin appeared under his perfect moustache. "Cupid's arrow has struck your heart, my starcrossed companion?"

Flash_Guardian turns his face back to Blue, the glow from his heartfelt sentiments outshining the sun. "Oh, Blue ... more than struck. I have found in Anwyn something more precious ... more dear to me than my own life. I honestly can't see myself apart from her after everything that we've shared. She and I have found in each other something wonderful. I am not even sure you could call it love," he tells him proudly. "It's more than love." Flash could go on, but realizes that he is rambling and quickly silences himself for the benefit of his companion, a hint of red rising in his cheeks ... and if one looks close enough, they may even see a soft rainbow glow that seems to envelop Flash, like an embrace of spirit.

Glyniss_McMasters pads bare footed over to the door a hand pulling up the white dress thingie she seemed to be wearing....sliding the door open to reveal the corridor beyond...this was confusing her why would the preacher man think she would do that.....thats if he was the preacher man...still not trusting her senses fully as yet. she made her way towards the opposite direction of the voices....shutting them out now ..perhaps another round to Hab it seems....as she finely steps out on the other side of the dojo.....the light cousing her to screw up her eyes...her other hand going over her eyes to shield them better as she makes her way...away from the dojo...away from ......them

Blue loosed a delightful chuckle into the air, retaking his position upon the airy throne had become accustomed to sitting on. "Excellent! I would expect nothing less from such a wondrous combination of her innocence and your tender heart..." he almost sung, drifting a little to the side as he clutched his harp closer. Now, he had finally spotted the one who had given him that tinge earlier, his finely honed senses being able to sense the proximity of a woman with little contest. "And is this her?" he asked, looking to the lady with her eyes hidden.

Flash_Guardian simply blushes even more fiercely, though he holds his chin high and chest out, hardly ashamed of the new bond which he shares. Gently he steers back to the previous topic, his concern resting with clearing Glyniss's good name. "Yes, Anwyn and I are ... well, inseparable. I'm sure she'd be more than happy to see you at some point, but at the moment she is elsewhere." 'Probably by our tree,' he thinks to himself. "Now, about Glyniss ... would you like the long version, or the short? After all, I'd hate to bore you with my dry and blah rendition of such an epic tale." Flash chuckles.

Glyniss_McMasters frowns as she takes a gulp of air.....it was strange to be able to open her mouth ...as she had made her way through the building her fingers had tentively touched anything that seemed familair to her.....reassuring her that it was there....or at least felt real...the voices fading as she moved away from the building...feeling the ground under her bare feet...blinking stopping as she looks down.....she could feel the solidness of the ground...looking about seeing the place where they had sat and eatten.....eyes widening as she spots something suspended between two trees swinging in the breeze...tentively walking over to it as she stops ....and stares.....Dev's hammock was there..

Blue lets his head drop and shakes his head with regret, the cascading layers of his golden locks swaying freely side to side. "I'm afraid that you will have to keep this story for me until I have the proper time to listen to it fully. Perhaps another day?" The bard lifted himself higher into the air and tipped his hat to Flash. "Aislinn awaits me and I can not dissapoint her. I shall see thee soon though." With that said, the bard gave Flash a deep bow and vanished from sight, only his hat left to flutter in the breeze before being whisked away by the next strong gust to the mainland.

Flash_Guardian waves after Blue happily. "Alright! Give her my regards!"

Flash_Guardian nods happily, pleased to have spent even a brief moment with one of his friends. He pushes himself back up to his feet, stretching himself in preparation to resume working ... but as he twists about, his eyes spy Glyniss on the far side of the courtyard, staring almost in disbelief at a hammock strung between a pair of trees ... Devaine's, he knew. He stands there for a moment, silently watching her as hope rises in his chest.

Glyniss_McMasters hand reached out....slowly.....as she lays her fingers upon the strong canvas material....her mind picturing Dev in it...was this really here was she....stepping closer she leant down..laying her head upon it....strange perhaps to the onlooker...as one arm went around it as she hugged the strange object to her tears welling up as her eyes close almost as if she could bring him here

Flash_Guardian is torn between joy and sorrow as he stands there, his heart reaching out to her though his feet are too heavy to move. "Dev, I hope you're watching this," he whispers aloud.

Glyniss_McMasters seems to stay like that for a long time just hugging the object to her as she soaked it with tears....she swore she could almost smell him there....but she knew that was not the case...after long minutes letting it go stepping back.....glancing about quickly as she gingerly climbed into it....letting it sway a little cradling her eyes closing as she smiles....head moving slightly as not only Dev appeared but those others she knew gathered here

Flash_Guardian smiles happily to see her seeking such comforts. Indeed, she deserves them. He looks to his hammer, then back to his unfinished project ... and finally back to Glyniss. He sighs, shaking his head as he tosses the hammer aside, it landing upon the soil with a dull thump as he begins to make his way over to Glyniss's side. If she is truly asleep, he won't disturb her ... but if she's awake, he would very much like to talk with her.

Glyniss_McMasters shifts a little.....one leg over the side of the hammock coursing it to sway with the breeze...her mouth opened remembering the times at streambank when she lazed upon a branch and would sing....yet no sound was emited ..clamping her mouth shut tight she had left the hateful harp at the dojo not wanting it close to her if she can help it

Flash_Guardian frowns at her lack of speech ... no, song. She was trying to sing. Flash looks pained for a moment, though hides it quickly as he takes the last few steps toward the hammock to stand over Glyniss, hands behind his back. "Hey," he calls to her softly, gentle eyes looking down at her fondly.

Glyniss_McMasters eyes shoot right open as her head turns ....pushing herself up into a sitting position which is kinda hard in one of those things when youve not been in one before..the gentle swaying ending in the hammock rocking to anf fro.....as it twist a little almost tossing her out onto the ground......

Flash_Guardian actually chuckles lightly, quickly reaching out a hand and taking hold of the hammock with a single hand, lending it the stability required for Glyniss to get resettled. "Whoa, easy there ..." He laughs, the sound more pleasant than teasing. "Guess you'd never make it as a sailor, huh?"

Glyniss_McMasters clasps the hammock edges as he seems to settle it a little......sitting up now as wide eyed she looks at him....listens to him laugh.....waiting for what will happen next

Flash_Guardian stands there a moment as his laughter dies down, seeing quickly that Glyniss doesn't seem to be joining in. He brings a hand to his mouth, coughing and looking away, a little ashamed. He turns now, moving to an empty side of the hammock and leaning back into it, settling next to her, causing the hammock to swing gently back and forth as it did before, his legs dangling over the side and his hands behind his spiky-haired head which now turns to look at Glyniss. He smiles to her. Nothing malicious or derogatory ... just a friendly smile. "I've remembered a few more things," he tells her. "And I've been thinking, too. About how to get you your voice back. It's going to take some time, I'm afraid. But you know me, Glyniss ... if there's a way, I'll find it." He smirks confidently.
