Lacking Trust

Omenis lowers her foot once more into the clear cool water....watching how it distorts her foot somewhat at how it feels

Flash_Guardian emerges into this place of suppressed beauty, held back only by winters chill even as waters are held back by a patchwork dam of fallen logs. His footsteps are light, not at all his usual brisk or hurried pace, and his face looks to the ground in deep contemplation. At the sight of running water, he look all about, eventually spotting someone whom he has not visited with in some time. The sight of her makes him smile. "Omenis," he calls lightly, his tone friendly and voice light.

Omenis wiggles her toes softly laughing at the sensation that caused...head turning as she looks to the side opulent eyes obviously catching something in the process of inspecting closer as she suddenly hears her name instantly turning a smile already appearing broadly upon her features as she waves her hand...and in the instant of joy at seeing Flash forgets the hold she has upon her robe and dress letting them slip between fingers to fall...and soak the water up as she takes one excited step towards him...." Flash!"....her eyes lightening up with pleasure at the sight of him

Flash_Guardian sees Omenis wading in the stream, catching sight of her boots at the bank nearby, socks tucked neatly inside and waiting for the return of feet. At her release of the dress he laughs mirthfully ... and yet comes over to meet her halfway, his own bare feet stepping into the water's chill just as he raises arms to embrace her. "Oh good, you still remember me!" he jokes, chuckling. "It's good to see you. How have you been?"

Omenis smiles as arms wrap around him hugging him to her not caring about the heavness the garments had become....nor the fact that they are indeed wet...letting him go as she steps back head tilting to look up at him...." Yes I remember you well Flash....you are my teacher first one to talk to me welcoming me to this strange land" her head tilts a little as she thinks over his last question..." I am.......well"

Flash_Guardian beams, his heart glad as the pair embrace. "As am I. And as such we should both be thankful." He glances around at the winter scape trying its best to turn to spring. "How did you come by this place? It's very peaceful. And the water is very cold!" Flash wiggles his toes beneath the water, relishing in the gentle chill.

Siph Walks in standing average height wtih long silver hair. He notices Omenis, he walks up, "Hello Omenis." He notices the other, "Hello there."

ChuKeLiang sipped lightly at his tea while he pushed his way through the fog of such a chilly evening. Were it not for his soothing beverage, the lad would have rather stayed inside on such a night, but cabin fever had taken its hold and he had to go explore. Hearing voices through the haze of the night, Chu glanced over curiously and proceeded in a short slow steps, still sipping at his tea.

Omenis laughs not able to stop herself as she looks down at his toes wiggling......." Yes yes......but its a strange feeling is it not feeling the water against bare skin like it is.....have you ever watched this water slide off your feet back into the water...yet it never gets inside us unless we drink it....amazing..." she looks up....something having caught her attention something familiar.....and then there he was.....the smile broadening even more....." Siph....look look....this is Flash" her voice taking on an excited edge at this meeting

Siph Looks over at Flash, "So you are the one Omenis is always talking about, My name is Siph. Its a pleasure to finally meet you." He sticks out his hand to shake flashes.

ChuKeLiang appeared a small distance away from the group, peering over the rim of his porcelain tea cup inquisitively with his glimmering green eyes. His gaze moved to Flash, then to Omenis and finally to the newcomer as well, glancing at each of them in order of familiarity. "Hm'mm..." The philosopher said briefly before annnouncing himself with a simply clink of cup and plate with a friendly smile.

Flash_Guardian catches sight of Siph as he enters, turning and giving him a friendly nod. "Well well ... two's company, but three's a gathering." A regal bow is offered formally, hands to his back and front respectively. "Pleased to meet you, Siph. I am indeed the one known as Flash." As he comes out of the bow, he finally notices the outstretched hand, and makes an embarrassed breathy noise. "Oh." He reaches for the hand to shake it instead ...

Siph Shakes his hand, and looks over at Omenis, "So what have you been up to lately?" He smiles and sits downs looking at the two.

Omenis blinks her attention going to the small male on the bank......a nod and a smile in his direction to show she acknowledges him...she shivers yet looks puzzled not understanding what it actually is....her opulent eyes resting upon Siph as she gently smiles...." Finding out about water....." nodding to the stream she had been paddling in...." And meeting Flash....oooh and seeing you....I am sorry I left so suddenly yesterday.....what did you mean about a star being made....?"

Flash_Guardian continues to stand there in the water, preferring its cool refreshing feel to that of the earth around him, and taking a few casual steps deeper into the stream, not caring that the bottoms of his pants are also soaking up a bit of the water. The chinking sound of china catches his ear and lifts his attention to the woods nearby, spotting Chu quite easily and smiling back in return. "Wow ... all kinds of old faces turning up. Have I been away that long?" Flash waves to Chu in beckoning, an invitation to join them, perhaps take his own seat nearby.

ChuKeLiang lifts himself up on the tips of his slippers and looks over to the cool water just within a few steps reach with a mouth slightly agape, eyes suddenly matching Flash's beckoning stare. "Sure," said the boy, tilting his head to one side with a gleeful grin as he walked over, taking his place by the water's edge. The lad inspected the light rippled that rose and fell for a moment, judging the flow and the ambiance of this sanctum before looking to the pair with a thumbs up. "I like this place."

Omenis tilts her head a little as she watch the approach of the young male.....before glancing to look upon Flash...." It has been a long time since I last saw you......have..have you been meeting many new friends....talking to a lot of people...you always seem to have a lot of people around you when I have seen you you've always looked very busy"

Flash_Guardian chuckles at Chu, shaking his head. "You always say that." His eyes look skyward ponderously. "Of course every time I've heard you say that before, you've been on Redfang ..." He shrugs over the matter, looking between Omenis and Chu, wondering if the pair have been introduced before. He chuckles to Omenis, regretful but happy. "Yes, it seems I've become quite the popular guy. Nice to have a break for the moment." Flash wades out to a small, wet stone sticking up out of the stream and takes a seat upon it, looking back to the other two.

Omenis turns slowly following Flash's progress to the stone....head tilting a little as she ponders " Are you well.....nothing is wrong is there?" she glances over her shoulder to the male on the bank still...softly smiling " Would you like to join us in this......wetting of feet?"

ChuKeLiang turns his head sharply to Flash with questioning eyes and bells jingling. "I do?" Chu kneels beside the pool before laying flat on his stomach, arms propped up and legs swaying idly in the air as he gazes into the waters. "I guess so, but it's true." A pointed tip of his deep blue hair pierced the tranparent waters of the pond, colouring the part where his hair was dipped blue as well. Noticing this, the lad lifted his head and glanced to Omenis with a grin. "Sure, that sounds fun."

[Lillia ] the sky opened up over the heads of the three people, and a beam of light shot from the opening. it hit the floor, but produced no rumbling or explosion. A figure walked out and seemed to be Lillia Valkyrion, one of the gaurdians of the Euterrian empire. She looks around and notices Flash a friend of hers from a past experience. She walked out of the light and it disappeared, as she walked towards him, the sunlight caught her armour changing it from blue to a deep purple colour. She then sat on the ground and smiled gently, fixing her hair. She had a rough time in Euterria last night and wanted to relax, and this seemed to be the place to do just that. But before she got comfortable, she walked up to one of them "Excuse me. It is acceptable if I may rest here for a while please?"

Flash_Guardian shakes his head at Omenis, shrugging. "No ... well, nothing more wrong than usual," he tells her, not sounding entirely convinced, but hardly wishing to delve into such details. His feet trail idly in the water as his feet swing back and forth in a child-like manner.

[Mitri_Oria ] go Court

ChuKeLiang pushed himself up from the bit of rock he rested upon and looked toward Lillia with a pair of wide and unsure eyes. "Well, uh..." the lad tried to say without finding the proper words to express himself. "I just got here too. You would have to ask either my Sifu or her." The boy motioned toward Omenis, that same unsure look locked plainly onto his face.

Omenis nods at Chu waiting to see how he would join them.....head turning back to Flash puzzled by the underlining tune of his voice....this puzzled her as opulent eyes linger upon him for a while...." Are you....concerned over that lady and that strange creature....the one you left behind that time"

Dante_Sparda emerges out of the wooded area in a red vest, black T-shirt, and black pants. His short platinum hair hangs down, slightly covering his black eyes. He carries a large sword with a dragon as the hilt strapped to his back, and he has a pair of high-powered Desert Eagle .50 cal hand guns that are in hip holsters. Sensing the life force of other, he heads in that direction.

[Lillia ] "okay thankyou for your assistance" She then turned to face the woman he had pointed out to, and proceeded towards her, "Excuse me.. Is it okay if I may rest here for a short time please?"

Flash_Guardian also notices Lillia's glaring entrance, shading his eyes slightly and looking to her with a smile. She does indeed seem familiar, though by the look on his face he can't quite place her. He smiles and waves to her, though, openly inviting her. "Come on. The water is chill, but refreshing." Then, to Omenis, "If you are referring to Siara and her 'royal advisor' ... well, I really have no idea what's going on there. I can only wish her the best." Flash shrugs helplessly, watching as the serenity of this place rapidly becomes popular and crowded.

[Lillia ] walks up to falsh and smiles, but urges back a pace "the look on your face, is a bit puzzling. You do not recognise me do you?" she seemed a little upset and let down by this. But she tried to force the negative feelings away for the time being

Dante_Sparda emerges to where Flash, Omenis, Chu, and Lillia are. He looks them all over for a moment, then fixes his gaze on Lillia. He watches her closely, then examines her wings. He tilts his head, then approaches her. "Excuse me my'lady. I don't mean to be rude, but are you an angel?"

[Lillia ] then makes a sharp turn to Dante... Her pink eyes scan him abruptly "I am no angel.. I am a Valkyrie" Then lowers her head. "The last Valkyrie of my kind "A lizard named Severon destroyed my home and everyone in it" she looked up at him and smiled "My name is Lillia.. What would yours be young sir?"

ChuKeLiang shuffles away from all of the newcomers a bit and just observes them for the while, his expression akin to a small animal being approached by many larger animals with those wide eyes, arms drawn back, curled fingers and shoulders hunched.

Dante_Sparda laughs and shakes his head. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize. I was wondering why your aura was a different from most angels. My name is Dante Sparda. It's a pleasure to meet you Lillia." He bows formally.

Omenis shifts her gaze to the newly arrived female....hearing the words Chu had spoken and the female start to approach her....hearing her words with just a side glance to Flash she smiles and nods.." All are welcome ...the water is cold but feels....." her brows knit trying to find the right word" good..." before turning to speak to Flash..." I do not like that creature he feels very.....wrong...he was not very pleased I said no to them"

Flash_Guardian looks regrettably at Lillia, seeming somewhat guilty. "My memory has never been anything spectacular, I'm afraid. Perhaps if you were to remind me of how we met, as I'm sure we have before ..." He makes note of Dante's arrival, then looks back to the others, especially Chu who seems so shy all of a sudden.

Flash_Guardian blinks back at Omenis. "Oh? And just what was the offer you denied by them, if I may ask?"

Omenis looks down at her feet swirling the water a little about them before looking back up..." I refused to be entralled to the female"

Flash_Guardian 's look becomes most dark at hearing this news, his legs ceasing in their swinging as his gaze bears its full attention on Omenis. "They ... wanted you? As a thrall for Siara?" He looks down into the water ponderously ...

Omenis nods...." I didnt know what entrall meant but it felt wrong.....she said I would have to fight other....pain them if ordered.." her brows knitted a little " the female seemed to put....value on power and riches....though I can not see why...Shouou explained to me later what entralled meant.."

Matt_Andrews walks out towards the trees and sits down by the stream and quietly hums to himself as he watches the stream flow quietly

Flash_Guardian nods grimly. "It means slavery," he says simply. "More specifically a slavery of the mind. You remember the other creature? Creatures of his kind are adept at such mental enslavements." Flash's jaw quivers, eyes tight and fists clenched. "Makes me sick ..."

Omenis blinks somewhat taken aback by the feelings she was now picking up from him...wading over to where he sits upon the stone she pats his hand gently...her voice softening as she does so.." I know Shouou told me to stay away from them because the creature will not let me go so easily a second time....he said they are...." her head tilting as she tries remembering the word he used..." evil....perhaps that is the wrong feelings I got from him.." she sighs softly " I stayed thinking that she would need help perhaps...I have not seen them she she asked me"

Flash_Guardian nods to Omenis. "They most certainly are evil ... creatures known as illithids, or mind flayers as some would call them. They can bend any mind unable to defend itself to their will. Being a slave to him would not only mean you would be forced to kill ... he would alter your mind so that you would want to kill." Flash grumbles to himself. "And yet for all the wrongness I can feel at the hands of that creature, I can see no evidence to act against him. Not without being able to see into the minds of others, that is. I may be gifted of mind, but no so much as that."

Omenis tilts her head a little...." Whose mind would you want to go into.....if you could?"

Trespasser enters the area, seemingly out of nowhere, in a flash of bright light. He looks around at the inhabitants, his gaze resting on each of them for a moment as he asks Flash_Guardian, "Which one of you have the demon problem?"

Flash_Guardian blinks at the other who appears so swiftly, blinking. "We had a demon problem ... but that's clearing up at the moment, thanks." Then to Omenis, he fidgets, not really wanting to answer her even though the answer is clear in his mind. "Siara's. I still suspect she has been bewitched by that thing."

Trespasser sighs, walking away. He had been told by a friend of his he could help here.

Omenis frowns " You think this.......mind flayer is in control of Siara's....would it not have something to stop you doing so even if you could get into her mind....he em wouldnt want you to ..is there no other way to find out couldnt you......ask?" a simple solution...but this is Omenis

Flash_Guardian chuckles, shaking his head at Omenis's straightforwardness. "I have already tried words. I haven't come right out and accused him ... but Siara, he, and I have talked. Come to think of it, that was a while back. I do wonder how she's doing ..." And so Flash's words betray him as he stares off in thought. As much as he would deny his interests in the matter, he cannot help but feel pity and compassion for the girl who came to Redfang so long ago seeking his aid. And yet he failed her.

[Omenis ] " If you have talked...why have you not asked.surely they would tell you if it is so?" looking at him intently unsure why things always appear never as straightforward as they should.." What did you talk about then?"

Flash_Guardian sighs and shakes his head. "If they would choose to lie to me and hide the bewitchment from my sight, then there's nothing I can do to prove them wrong. And I'm sure they know by now that I would act if I sensed the slightest hint of bewitchment. But no ... we talked about how she has been, and her new kingdom. Her new life, where she has everything she could ever want and wants for nothing. And yet I suspect her of being just another pawn in that creature's game. The situation would make it seem so."

Omenis frowns deeply subterfuge was something new to Omenis......not just new but needless thing to even want to do.." Perhaps you should talk to each when they are on their own....without the other around ...would would that not help things perhaps.." she tilts her head a little.." If you think he controls her as you do...do you know anything about this....mind flayer?".

Flash_Guardian nods, considering Omenis's suggestion favorably. "Maybe I should try and get one or the other by themselves again. That's a good idea." He looks back to her, happy to have someone to discuss the matter with at least. "And no, I don't know much else about the creature, other than his breed. I can't say I even know what his exact intentions are, though I have no doubt there's no good in them."

Omenis nods slowly....." Would you like me to ask him.....perhaps it would be different around me then it is around you....he knows you might want to pain it after all?"

Flash_Guardian doesn't appear to like the idea, looking to Omenis with apprehension and concern. "He ... you ... I don't know ..." he says, voicing his uncertainty.

Omenis tilts her head watching.....feeling the uncewntainty in his voice...." He thinks I am afraid of him..because I said no but in trueth mostly it was because I will not pain others and...these powers and riches Saira offered hold no reason for me...what use would I have of such things.and well" she looks down at her wiggling toes...." if he thinks I am afraid would he not be on his guard so much?"

Flash_Guardian tilts his head, a bit of a surprised grin coming over his face as he looks to Omenis with newfound respect. "You're right ... I doubt he'd suspect you. But ... you'd be willing to do that for me? It might be dangerous ... what if he tries to force his will upon you?"

Omenis shrugs her shoulders lightly " I do not know what will happen if he tries that.....but if it stops others being pained is it not worth this.....danger you talk about and from what words were exchnaged between the two when they were talking about this entrallment..he first suggested it to Siara but she seemed pleased about it I could feel that it was so.."

Flash_Guardian seems confused now, having seen and heard two sides of the same story. "The Siara I have seen doesn't sound at all like the one you describe." Flash seems pained now, closing his eyes and shaking his head. "But which is the real Siara? The timid youngster that came to my island so long ago, or the proud and powerful mistress that her captor has made her into? And for that matter, would I really be doing her a favor by removing her from her newfound life of luxury? What if she's genuinely happy? What if it's really what she wants?" Flash's eyes clench and brow wrinkles, his head weaving back and forth for a moment before his fists come up to cradle his aching head. "ARRGGHH!! I don't know who she is! I don't know what she wants!! I don't ..." Flash takes a breath now, a steady silence falling. "I don't know what to do ..."

Omenis watches Flash intently taken back by this outburst of his uncertainty he had always appeared to know everything...be confident in everything he did yet now...now she could sense this unusual loss from him pondering all the questions that he seemed to lay before her in such an outburst " Is there not something that will make her tell you what she truely wants...something that will make her be herself so she can look into ....what Shouou say is a heart and find out....she acted as if rich and power was all she wanted...yet she also said that I would not like it at first as she didnt..."

Flash_Guardian shakes his head, quite obviously pained. "Of course there is something that will speak true," he explains. "Just as the mind has influence over the body, so does the soul have influence over the mind. But I have no power over the soul ... even less than I have power over the minds of others. The only soul I hold sway over is my own."

Nightbladedragon enters the room and looks around noticing Flash and Omenis

Omenis frowns lightly.....deeply in thought " Then the problem would be not if she wants these things.....but really if its the trueth when speaking she does....would a person really say something that is not trueful....I..I can not see how someone could for what purpose whould it serve but to....." she sighs softly not knowing any reason why someone would lie

Flash_Guardian glances briefly to a newcomer from where he sits upon a stone out in the stream, some grave matter weighing heavily upon his face.

Nightbladedragon streches his wings and takes a short flight over to where the other two are talking and lands. He bows to them "I am Nightblade, who do I now have the pleasure of meating?"

Flash_Guardian can sense Omenis's confusion now, and does his best to explain. "People lie to others in order to get what they want," he tells her somberly. "We as living beings can only act upon what we percieve. If you can control a person's perspective, you can control how they will react." Another glance to the newcomer, still frowning from the matter at hand. "I am Flash," he manages in greeting.

Omenis almost jumps at the sudden approach of another deep in their problem was she...turning...opulent eyes coming to rest upon the male...a nod " Hello...I am...Omenis" a gentle smile though it quickly disappears

Nightbladedragon raises his eyebrow at Flash and Omenis wondering what the problem is, "What's the problem?"

Omenis blinks back at Flash " But can not one get what you want by telling the trueth....?" a head tilt" Soo....Siara could lie to get what she wants.....as would this...this mind flayer....but why would it want Saira in the first place?"

Nightbladedragon asks yet again "what is the problem?"

Flash_Guardian shakes his head at the dark individual, his eyes pained. "I'm not even sure if there is a problem ... which is a problem in itself." He sighs. "The answer lies within the truth, and I truly wonder if I have the strength to penetrate their web of lies. He could want Siara for many reasons ... perhaps he's using her to rule over the Rift City. That would be my first guess."

Nightbladedragon says "Ok first tell me who Siara is and who 'he' is?"

Omenis ponders over what information Flash has told her glancing to the stranger eyes drifting over him " Siara is.......is someone we both know who Flash thinks might be entralled to ......to a creature....I do not know what its called except it is a mind flayer"

Flash_Guardian gives the other gentleman a startled look, and one that isn't entirely trusting. "Firstly, what reason would you have to care about an affair that isn't your own? And secondly, I'm not really certain that I even know who they both are. I've been with Siara ... maybe for one day before all this mess started? And the contact that I've had with him, the mind flayer, has certainly been minimal." He looks to one side, frowning again. "I need answers that I don't have."

Nightbladedragon says "first of all my 'occupation', as you might put it, is a traveling healer, protecter and a mercenary for hire, curently unemployed. I am a powerful half demon with a soul. I can and will help if you just tell me how."

Nightbladedragon says "This ordeal is just what I live for"

Flash_Guardian has always prided himself in his independence and self-supporting nature. At the black-winged man's offer, he merely shakes his head. "So long as the truth evades my grasp, I can do nothing."

Nightbladedragon says "you can do nothing, I can do something, I am not easily swayed mentaly considering my demon half and I will be able to take this thing out, what ever it is."

Omenis glances at Flash...she knew nothing of demons or mind flayers......they could even be one and the same as far as she would know...." What if you get pained.?" her voice gentling as she voices her question to Night

Nightbladedragon asks "pained?"

Flash_Guardian glowers back to the half-demon. "At what point did killing ever become a solution? And for your information, my mind is quite the fortress as well." Flash sighs, shaking his head yet again. "If you honestly wish to help, then make your way to Rift Castle yourself, and see how far you get. But I can tell you right now that brute force won't fix anything if all you do is strike blindly in the dark." Flash tries to find his patience yet again, closing his eyes and inhaling deeply, swishing his bare feet just a little in the cooling waters of the stream.

Nightbladedragon asks "how do I get there?"

Flash_Guardian explains as briefly as he can. "There are a multitude of portals that can lead you there, as it rests at the Nexus of a web of such things. There is one such portal under Redfang Island, though the entrance to the cave in which it resides is underwater. You'd need to hold your breath for a long time, and be a good swimmer to reach that one. Other than that ..." Flash shrugs helplessly. "I couldn't tell you."

Omenis nods.." Pained .....hurt..." she glances to Flash never having been to the place he had mentioned yet she didnt even know what a castle was

Nightbladedragon to Omenis "I'f I get hurt then my Phionix friend will cry and heal me other than that I know several healing spells," to Flash "I am not familiar with this area you will have to lead me"

Flash_Guardian just waves his hand at the black-clad figure. "Just ask any local and they'll tell you where Redfang Island is. It's common knowledge around here. As for me, I don't have the time. Indeed, I've lingered here too long. There are other things I must attend to." Flash pulls his feet up out of the water to stand upon the stone, balancing precariously for a moment.

Omenis attention goes from one to the other she could sense this was not going to well....." Do you need to go...there must be many more people that want your attention?"

Flash_Guardian nods to Omenis solemnly. "Such is the price of being a leader and a hero. But, that's life." Flash shrugs and, with a final look and a wave of farewell to the others nearby, disappears in a burst of yellow light and a crack of thunder.
