Ellimere nodded slightly. Peering out from where she had buried her face. No more tears were flowing, though her cheeks were damp. Her deep ocean blue hues looked at him silently. Before she sighed a little. Okay, Mister Demishan. She said finally. She coughed, a hoarse and painful sound. She d been living outside for some time. She covered her mouth, and lowered her head once the tickle in her throat had died down.
DemiGod opened the door to his small wooden house, stepping inside the candles would seem to crackle to life and the smell of books would meet the two at the door, he closed the heavy door behind them and bolted it carefully. There was a couch which he layed the little girl on, a coffee table with books on it three book shelves, one on the right two on the left, some titles where that for alchemistry, potions, magic, and some stories of dragons. He would go to his room bringing back some spar rags and a tattered blanket for her to bundle up in, "Okay, just stay here for tonight and we will handle everything in the morning" he patted her on the head and smiled weakly, .... there where only two other rooms, doorways on either side of the couch the right one would lead to the kitchen and left one would lead to his bedroom.... that night the mage would sleep with his door open...
Ellimere s eyes opened and closed sleepily. She pulled the blanket he had given to her right up to her chin. Reading the titles of the books upon the table. She found it hard to read some of them. Even thought she was reading them in her head. She read the title of the last book, and that was it. Out like a light. Deep blue yes closed. Breaths becoming shallow, and quiet. As Ellimere fell asleep upon the couch he had lain her upon.
Enaid steps out of the trunk of the large oak tree one bare foot first appearing and with the merry tune of bells another slips into view as she appears. A slight shake of her head sending the frangrance of fresh blooms assailing upon the breeze as with wonderous eyes she looks about..
[Alucinor ] Footfalls sound softly upon the grass just a step or two behind Enaid ... and should she turn to look this time, she may be surprised at what she sees. The same tall height of a tawny skinned man, and the same broad shoulders and muscular form ... but today the arabian garb has been traded in for stout leather boots and breeches, green tunic beneath a leather vest, and a long, flowing cape of forest green sweeping dramatically behind him as he moves. He has hair upon his head as well, which may actually make him difficult to recognize were it not for his height and stature ... long, dark, and curly, with that same braid of hair coming down from his chin and kept in place by a pair of pearly dark green beads. He stands with hands on hips, glancing around himself wordlessly and waiting to be noticed.
Njoka would seem to leap from branch to branch, stepping lightly and quietly until he nears the ussual gathering stop.... With that he stops, standing firm on a thick branch. He lowers his head looking below, almost as if he were here for a reason, the young girl, she was here... He looked at her, keeping himself hiddin, he wanted to see if any progress had been made, or maybe he wanted something else.... MAybe he simply wanted his red sash back.... Although he did not move, nor try to make himself noticed as others were also around.
Jadel had watched Demi walk past her with the little girl in her arms, curiosity got the better of her, she had followed behind him, at a safe enough distance to not be seen, she crouched behind a tree and watched as he entered a house "His house?" she thought to herself, now at least she knew something about him!
Enaid lips form into a smile as she sees that all seems well....turning she lays a hand palm flat upon the rough bark of the oak as lips form the words "thank you" before dropping to her side head turning back to gaze once more upon natures beauty ..looking...examining for any that need help assistant or just a tender word of encouragement it is during this task that her eyes fall upon the larger male. Yes he looked familair though his attire was indeed different as her gaze travels slowly over his new appearance..." Hello...again" the words as soft as apple blossoms
Jadel walks up the the door, she lifts her hand to knock, she pauses worried about his reaction to her being there, she took a deep breath and knocked anyway.
Alucinor beams heartily to the flowery woman, in looks as well as spirit. "Salutations," he says, offering her a deep bow and not even bothering to explain what he is doing there ... nor how precisely he appeared at the exact place and time that she had chosen to come out of a tree.
DemiGod would raise from his.. well he couldn't call it sleep, not the way his mind was racing, he stood up, his chest now bare.. he would slide into a pair of brown tattered pants, grab a jewel from his cloak and make his way to the door softly as to not wake up the child, he unbolted the door and smiled at seeing Jadel, his mind would forget the child at sighting, "Well, Hello" he said rather softly,... vampires, they would show up all times of night...
Jadel nodded at Demi, she smiled kindly as she tried to see inside his house "Well hi, you seemed in a bit of a hurry, is this where you live?" she craned her neck, trying to look!
DemiGod would pull her in as he remembered the child, there was a couch with a bundle of rags and a tattered blanket on it, a coffee table and three book shelves both on left and right wall. The smell of books where heavy, and candles, there where only too other passages beside the front door, to the right of the couch was the kitchen to the left was the bedroom, "Two children in one day" the mage says in a hushed voiced.. "I found this one in the woods shivering to death, waiting to be prey for a leech like yourself".. he used the insult freely as he pointed to the bundle on the couch...
Enaid watches this time the bow did not catch her off guard as it had before waiting til he unfolds himself from the act " You look....different ..perhaps more suitable to fit in with others from this land. I am sorry for my rash departure yesterday but it was so distressing to be here"
Jadel grabbed Demi by the thraot, taking him by suprise, she wasnt going to hurt him, just warn him a little "Listen fool, less of the leech talk before you come up on the menu too! I wouldnt harm a child!" she let go of him and walked over to the couhc where the child slept, she pulled the blankets down a little and smiled at the sleeping child, she stroked the childs head, "So peaceful!"
Njoka narrows his eyes, then closes them.... In a whisper, almost too quiet to catch the wind, he speaks,,,, These words may have only been heard by a few, on more than most being Ellimere.... "Awaiken child... Let the hidden be shown..." Fallowing those words would be a feeling of a sort of jolt.... This would only go to Ellimere... And in that case, he waits, and watches....
Ellimere stirred slightly in her slumber. As if she sensed something. She moved a little, but didn t wake. She didn t hear DemiGod or Jadel, as they spoke, she didn t feel the stroke of her head by the lady. She just slept quietly, exhaustion finally catching up on her.
[DemiGod ] well, no, i was trying to explain to you that you could take the child or do whatever while i went to sleep...
Alucinor puts trepidatious fingers to his forehead, his gaze rolling back slightly. "Ough! You have no idea ... foul little thing ..." His deep voice rumbles and grumbles briefly until he's sated himself, only then putting his hand back to rest at his side and smiling at Enaid. "So! Where are you off to today?"
Jadel looked at Demi, insutled, "If that is the little you think of me, that I would come into your house and harm someone then you are very much mistaken!" she turns towards the door, as if to leave! "I will not stay where I am not trusted!"
Addison strolls briskly along the old warn path between the main holding of the Keep on the hill to the small town down in the cove. She is bundled warmly against the chill of such an early morning outing with a long double breasted overcoat and a taupe scarf. Her arms are wrapped around her upper torso, gloved hands peeking out. The girls cheeks and nose are cheeries, vividly flushed and probably going numb.
Jadel looked down at the child again as she stired in her sleep, Jadel smiled softly, so innocent so sweet!
DemiGod would only clutch the jewel in his hand as Jadel threatned him, it was interesting that she would not get upset over the insult but the fact that he thought that she would harm a child, interesting. "Its not that i don't trust you, its everything out in those woods that i do not trust" bolts his door and then turns back to Jadel, "I wasn't referring to you at all, i was referring to the other leeches and werewolves and things out in the forest" he said in defense, she had obviously misplaced his words.
Enaid watches him as he speaks of the creature that had appeared so yesterday and thus brought havoc in his wake...." Was it worse after I departed ?" shaking her head a little sorrow in her eyes as she remembers the pain the being had coursed to one so defenceless eyes lifting as she awaits his answer " Did he course more pain to those of this tender place?"
Jadel watched as Demi tried to cover his words with more words, she shook her head "Do not lie to me, I knew what you meant! What is the stone you hold so tightly?" she looked down at his hand, clutching it so tight, he was still afraid of her. She sighed, she wasnt a bad person, if only one person could see that! "Why lock me in? Why lock the door?"
[DemiGod ] "If i didn't trust you you wouldn't be here right now" he said in a hushed whisper, "Forgive me for speaking so harshly but, i have this child now and i know nothing about... this" he says looking at the bundle...
Jadel looked at Demi, she sighed "You knwo nothing of what? Children? They are not difficult!"
Jadel grinned at Demi "Could this be you asking me for help? For once has Demi taken on something he cannot handle? If you wish me to help you somehow, just ask!"
Addison listens carefully to the conversations as she passes through the clearing, slowing down her pace enough to be able to keep up, but not enough so she might be considered nosy. The comment about children makes her face crack a smile. Oh no, children were never ever difficult.
[DemiGod ] "Don't argue with me!" he said to her lightly, he took a deep breath and whisper in a fast speech and glanced at the jewel, "I didn't know who was at the door, it could have been the guards for all i knew. Would you stop saying that i do not trust you!.. i do trust you as much as i trust myself.. " smiles at that.. "All i ask now is for your help? That is all, now stop being difficult"
Deity of the Lost simply is a remnant of a darker, more insidious age. Shadows from realms that never existed pool on one wall, pulsing and twisting as if alive. He slides from this soundlessly, his body seeming to be made from the very same substance he had just come from. His hooded, wraith-like form shimmered once or twice before returning to its solid state. The once shadowy figure gave way to that of a man, shrouded in a midnight cloak, which dances listlessly about his tall and somewhat ominous form. His face would not be seen, all would be hidden by the mystic seeming shadows that clouded his face, all except his eyes and fangs. His eyes burned a dim red though they soon flickered to a soft sapphire blue, tainted with silver streaks, while his fangs merely glistened in the light.
Deity of the Lost is in a forest ^.^
Jadel luaghed she nudged Demi lightly "Help with the child? Of course!"
[DemiGod ] "Okay" he threw his hands up... and sighs
Alucinor half-grins, holding his hands behind his back. "You could say that ..." Swiftly he closes his eyes and shakes his head to dismiss such painful thoughts. "It doesn't matter, though. There was really nothing to be done about it." Alucinor looks about this place once more, eyes taking in every sight and scene ... including a faraway house where many are gathering. "Now then ... I'm sure you have places to go ... and we never did get the chance to become properly introduced?"
Jadel looked at Demi "What do you want help doing?"
Njoka simply waited for his chanting to take effect.....
[DemiGod ] "Well right now could you just do what mothers do.. do you need to watch her overnight?" he said now relaxing a little.. "Because, i need sleep and i need sleep"
Jadel looked at Demi "Mothers?" she laughed a little "Mothers, ah theres something I never thought I would be, but sure, you get sleep I will sit here with the child, dont worry, she is safe!"
Ellimere A jolt was sent. Ellimere shifted suddenly in her sleep. Maybe it would have been wise for Demi to have left her to freeze. A strong surge of power emitted from the child. Her form now lying still, upon the couch. A intensifying heat beamed from her form. The ground and the earth beginning to shake. The books upon Demi s coffee table would shuffle violently, falling to the floor, as the heat intensified. Then came the light. It wouldn t harm the vampire, for it was not sunlight. It got brighter, and seemed to be coming from Ellimere. Filling the room. Inching into every shadowed crevice. Her form raised lightly from the couch, the rags falling from her body. The light getting brighter still, the heat getting hotter. Until finally a immense energy surge shot from her form, ripping through the house, crumbling the walls into ruins. All the light being sucked back towards Ellimere, all the heat turning to wind, rushing passed all the others back to Ellimere. Then she was gone. Appearing behind Njoka in the
[Ellimere ] tree, her shoulders still wrapped in the red sash he had given her. She said nothing.
Addison strolls past the house in the early dawning light, the first touches of color fanning themselves out across the deep indigo heavens, tinging the bottoms of clouds pink and orange. A splendifforous sunrise, brilliant and blazing as Apollo drives his chariot into a new day. Her eyes drink in the forest clearing around her, and from a crest in the hill between she and the other side of the clearing near to where Alucinor and Eniad are gathered, she pauses to catch her breath for only a moment.
Jadel looked as the child just vanished, she sighed "Ah Demi, you leave me with such things to deal with!" she rushed outside, she looked up into the trees, seeing the Ellimere and Njoka she shouted "Leave her alone, what are you doing?" she ran and leapt into the tree, landing on the same branch as them with ease.
Enaid chuckles softly " Ahhh yes names...labels given and recieved....how be it that you tarry here once more?" her gaze moves lightly from him to the direction he looks....though truefuly it also took in others here....
Njoka narrows his eyes from whats happening, truely Njoka did not know what sort of energy might become of his little Creation... He then opened them fully again once Ellimere was done.... He tilted his head back, looking now at Ellimere.... He'd grin, but only for a moment... Then he would turn to face Jadel "I've givin her a wish...." He smiles, such evil words from such a calm source...'
Deity of the Lost felt the surge of energy quite nearby, his demonic senses leading him to it's source. "Interesting..." he murmured before simply vanishing in a slight blur, only to reappear, not in the same tree, but one nearby none the less. Once more he saw Njoka and a soft growl eminated from his throat. Yet he made no move to get closer, he merely watched them.
Jadel looks at Njoka, she can feel the evil raditating from him, she moves a little closer "A wish? What wish could make child look like that?"
Enaid face rises barely as she sniffs lightly upon the air the sweet scent of others coming to her..easily for her to seperate their scent to those of the wonderous flora
[Jadel ] oh crap rl calls folks
[Jadel ] gtg bbl! by7e xx
Njoka reached back, his arm out to the child, while keeping his eyes on Jadel.... "A cry for something new, a better life, to be.... An Angel.... And what would you care?" He tilts his head.... He was not lieing but was not saying everything he had in mind.... It was true he had.... Other.... Plans for the child.
Alucinor 's eyes bug out as he senses a burst of overwhelming power somewhere nearby, head gazing in that direction for another moment ... before looking back to Enaid, brown curly locks bouncing slightly with such movement. "Well ... we simply never had the chance to meet and greet earlier. And I would hate to have spurned a chance to speak with such a lovely young maiden as you are." A dashing smile curls at the corner of his lips as he closes his eyes and nods to her politely, hands returning to rest upon his hips.
Deity of the Lost stood calmly in the tree, still just watching, listening to the exchange of words. "What is in it for you Njoka?" He asked simply. His sapphire blue eyes shine dangerously, his expression a cold and uncaring mask, stern, and controlled, the momentary hint of humanity gone. As melodic words fall from his alluring mouth and upon the other mans ears, each syllable is uttered perfectly and coldly.
Addison can smell Eniad do. A peculiar look crosses her face, the obvious thought running through her mind is What on earth are flowers doing here in late February? She lifts her chilled visage towards the smell, but it doesn't register that one of the two towards whom she is walking might be the source. Despite whatever surge of energy seems to be streaming through the place, Addison is beyond oblivious. No magical talent whatsoever, though she does have a funny arua to any posess a sight for seeing them.
Ellimere stared blankly at Njoka. She took his extended hand. He had given her the wish she had asked for. Made her angel, the thing she had longed. Until now, she had thought Njoka had lied and not given her, the wish she craved. But he hadn t she was an angel. She looked back at the man speaking to Njoka. Tilting her head. Illidan. She recalled his name easily; he had healed her knee when she d fallen in the pub, a long time ago, him and that other lady.
Njoka turns his head, now facing DOL.... "Ahhhhh..... Someone I know.... Good question..... I'll put it this way..." He glances at Ellimere "...You are now looking at the future Angel of the End of times...." He smiles, his plan let out in a simple set of words as he looks back to Dol
Alweih 's powerful frame found itself flomping down upon a treestump, a deep grunt rising from his mighty chest materialising in the ribbons of silvery vapour curling out of his nostrils. The dark figure squinted about, polished occulars lidded against the sunlight. It was not so bad at this time of the year, but the Night Elf still despised being caught in the open. He pulled his hide cloak about him a little tighter, toes disturbing the leather surface of his boots as the wriggled for a little warmth.
Deity of the Lost 's cold mask fell as he allowed his eyes to shift to the girl. "Hello again Ellimere, you have been well I hope..." It went back up again however when his eyes returned to Njoka. "Angel of the End of Times? What did you do to the young one? What curse have you given her?" DoL it seemed was somewhat suspicious, but then again, no man gave without expecting something in return, least of all Njoka.
Enaid brows dip in a fleeting frown as there and gone within seconds a rise of an ankle acompanied by the soft ringing of gentle bells...as she takes a step towards the taller male..young shoots just barely poking through the earth around her.." If names are important to you then I am Enaid"
Addison jumps as something flops into the tree by which she was just walking. The grunting does little to soothe her startled spririt as she spins on heel with a wary look up into the shadows of the branches, the suns light just now tinting their outside edges with color.
Alucinor straightens slowly, suddenly aware of the presence of Addison ... and likely her unusual aura as well, for there is no creature so wholly steeped in magic as Alucinor and his kin, it being hardly second nature ... it is first and foremost. A massive hand is raised in greetings from the six and a half foot individual, dressed in the trappings of a woodsman. "Hail, traveller." A brief glance is given to Enaid again as she steps. "And I am called Alucinor." And then, in a softer voice that is just for her, "But you can call me Al, if it's easier."
Njoka tilts his head again and sighs a little "I've givin her no curse and forced nothing onto her... I simply gave her a wish..."
Ellimere Nodded to Illidan, with little emotion upon her features. She unwrapped the red sash from about her shoulders and handed it towards Njoka. She some how felt the need to hold her arms up to Illidan, ask him to pick her up. She felt scared, but didn t show it. She was afraid now. That power had frightened her. After all she was only six.
Deity of the Lost narrowed his eyes, making the glowing orbs seem more like slits of light under the hood. "And what does her change give to you, surely not the satisfaction of helping another... What will you achieve with her as your little Angel of the End?" Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the outstretched arms of Elli and once again he moved in a blur, appearing beside her. Gently, he swept the child up in his arms, holding her rather protectively for one such as he.
Alweih pulled a glove from one hand, his ebon digits rising to disappear within the shadowy fronds of his hair, the soft clicking of bone beads issuing from beneath his hood. He sniffed, charcoal -grey tongue snaking out simultaneously to taste the air: those glittering orbs found there attention pulled to the one below. A weary smile was flashed to the woman, white teeth flashing starkly in the midst of his dark face as a softly breathed half-greeting flitted out into the morning air. " Huh... "
Njoka turns to Ellimere, taking the Sash, although he would walk up behind her, slidding past her on the branch without disturbing her footing, he knelt down and wrapped it around her, whisper into her ear... "You've done well thus far... Your beauty as and Angel will grow in due time.... But only as fast as you wish it too... Trust me little one.... The pain is over." His voice was calming... But only heard by her ears. "As for now... Hold onto the sash for me... It will keep you safe."
[Njoka ] **poops, too tired and too slow at the moment**
[Njoka ] **allow me to change that post a little then**
[Njoka ] **or that would work**
Addison turns her head to blink, bright-eyed, towards Alucinor. A smile leaps up to ignite her pale face in a certain blissful cheer and joy rarely found now in any parts. "Good morning!" Comes her sing song reply, floating clear and crisp towards him. She beams that sunny grin up into the shadows of the tree, where Alweih rests. "And good morning to you as well!" Her voice is as concise and full of cheer as it was moments ago.
Ellimere -The sash had been wrapped about her, before Illidan picked her up. She listened to Njoka quietly. Still a little frightened. She hid her face in Illidan s cloak. She had gotten her wish did she still want it? She was confused, and she knew Illidan from a while back, for some reason she felt safer now. Njoka did not scare her, she knew she could trust him, she knew he had kept his promise. She was scared of herself.
Njoka steps away from the two.... "Careful Illidan.... A child she may still be, but try not to frighten her.... I doubt even you could keep your footing if another blast were to be let out.... And maybe I do simply want her to have a better life..."
Enaid turns at the greeting given to another obviously close by the chiffon cape lifting fluttering before colourfully settling back upon her frame fairy light eyes rest upon the female a smile of violet a greeting given in the words of a "Hello" though her attention quickly returns to Alucinor as he speaks his name her smile widening at the permission of the shorter version..." Thank you....Al" the two letter word rolling with soft ease over tongue and between lips
Alweih 's practiced fingers moved now to his belt, searching for a certain desirable object. They closed about the nozzle of his canteen, pulling the sacred vessel from its resting place to administer a trickle of its crystalline contents to his waiting mouth. Thirsty gulps of air followed the parching of his thirst, shimmering eyes lidding over fully for a moment as he felt the delicious chill sluicing into his belly. The precious container found itself stoppered once more by its swart guardian, though instead of finding its way back to its usual bed, the thing was offered down to the one civil enough to greet him. " Thirsty? "
Deity of the Lost didn't shake his head, but the expression on his face and the tone of his words made it clear that he didn't believe Njoka on that matter. " Perhaps you too should be careful Njoka... creations have been known to harm the creator as well..." He turned his face downwards to look at Elli, once again the cold, indifferent exterior gone to be replaced with a kind look, befitting his elven half. "Come Elli... it's been a long time, you must tell me what adventures you've been having..." Okay, maybe not the best line, but all children loved to have adventures, or at least the ones he knew did, so he prayed she would as well.
Njoka smiles, and simply hops down from the branch.... "Ellimere... Do not forget, when you are ready... You can come to me... Your beauty as an Angel will be yours young child..." He spoke peacefully... Njoka was indeed acting strange, but why he let Dol take her, maybe that was another portion of his plan.... For now, his thirst, grew... Thirst for what, only few knew.
Addison shakes her head softly, curls falling around her shoulders. "Nay, but many thanks. I am just headed home for a nice hot cup of tea and some breakfast." She grins and brightens, and then adds as an afterthought..."It is an Inn, should you desire a rest or someplace out of the chilly weather."
Addison turns another glance towards Eniad. She is still wondering about that flower scent. Another hearty smile, eyes sparkling merrily. "Hello to you as well."
Alucinor gazes up into the tree as well, seeing much that he was not previously aware of, including Alweih. "My but this is getting to be a popular grove ..." Curious eyes look all about at a world he knows, and yet doesn't know ... and at the sound of his name being spoken, something stirs within him for the briefest moment. A smile crosses his lips at something that perhaps only he is aware of before turning to the ladies nearby. "A pleasure to meet both of you then, this fine day." A contented sigh is given as he too leaps up, catching a branch of the tree above him, and hoists himself up onto it to lay across it in comfort, hands behind his head. Strange that this should be allowed by such a slender branch, holding up what must be a great weight ... yet so it is.
Ellimere nodded gently as Illidan spoke to her. Huddled in his arms, with the red sash around her from. Njoka spoke and Elli listened silently. Her face still buried in Illidans cloak. Hiding, though from what she didn t know. Possibly Njoka, But she didn t feel scared of him. He had kept his promises. Maybe she was hiding from herself.
Alucinor sees a canteen being offered to him by another occupant of the tree just above him, and waves it away politely with his hand. "No, thank you."
Addison watches the woodsman with what is most obvious curiosity. "But it is always so. If it isn't crowded with travellers, this wood is swamped with duelists and all sorts of grandiose pompous and haughty folk. Being so near to yonder city.." She notes the looming walls of the central Keep, high on the cliff behind her. "..I think such is to be expected. Though I can't say many in the village..." She means the nestle cove town that is her destination "...really approve of all the raucous goings on."
Alweih glanced about once more, having apparently gotten his breath back. A wry grin crawled over his lips in echo of the one one below, buckskin glove pulled back down to mask that lustrous skin. "Ah...rest assured that I would love to take you up on that offer - though doubtlessly some code of manly behaviour or another binds me to tarry a while longer in the snow."
[Addison ] *nestled cove, rather
Deity of the Lost leapt down from the branch, landing as lightly as a cat, making no noise as his feet hit the soil. His steps would carry both him and Ellimere out of the forest. To where... who knows.
Addison rolls her eyes and huffs a bit, more in jest than in true dissapointment. It would be unfair to put any pressure on him to come to the Chicken, afterall. "It's the hotheadedness you men posess, I gander, that causes you the need to cool off."
Alucinor looks over in the direction indicated by Addison curiously. "Hmmm? And what city would that be?" he asks quite plainly, still laid out on his back upon the slender branch, it hardly seeming to bow under his weight.
Enaid smiles nothing surprises her with the world that she resides in listening with interest to the words exchnaged between the male she now sees in the tree and the young female...and thus seeing now three in tune she steps back to look about head tilted as she listens...
Njoka walks out of the forest, alkmost in a hurry
Addison points a mauve-gloved finger around towards the alabaster walls, beyond which the rooftops, towers, and banners of the place are visible, a thin film of snow and ice just now catching the golden glint of the sun that makes them painful to look at for long. "The Keep...that's the only name by which it has ever gone." And then towards the village. "Covetton. Not many dwell there, but it is far cleaner and safer than the streets behind those walls on the cliff. Smaller and friendlier too. Better service at the Inns and shoppes, if I might be so bold as to add."
Alweih nodded sagely, his lip reclining gently so that those startling teeth of his could grip the silver ring adorning the flesh there. "I think we can safely chalk it up to that, yes. It would explain, certainly, why the True Faithers strip off their armour in the afternoon." His chuckled words were genuine, despite the price he continued to pay for the very hotheadedness she had spoken. He made himself as comfortable as could be on his perch, daring to stretch athletic limbs out a little to spread his weight.
[Alucinor ] "Hmmm." A light sound of simple acknowledgement, before he looks down at Enaid to see what she is doing, wondering where her attention now lies.
Addison hsa no idea who the True Faithers might be, but then, every clan and group had their names for...everything. So she shrugs it off and smiles benevolently up at them both. "I am just now on my way back to Covetton," She directs this mainly to Alucinor, for Alweih already knows. "And you are all welcome to join me there, out of the cold." She now turns to Eniad, indicating that she is also welcome, should she choose to take her up on the invitation. "I've come into the Inn business, and it would be my pleasure to offer you something warm to drink and perhaps also to eat."
Enaid is followed by the soft tinkling of bells....the fragrance of fresh blossoms as she liets her sense guide her beyond whence she once stood....head still tilting as she disappears well all but her head as she crouches down upon her her heels..intently listening
Alucinor continues to watch Enaid as she extends her senses outward, wondering what on earth could hold her attention so enrapt. He puzzles over this for a moment before turning back to Addison and shrugging. "I go where she goes," is all he says. "It's as simple as that. I thank you for the offer of hospitality, however ... it is greatly appreciated. You cannot know."
Kytkyt appears, a puff of dull smoke, standing upside-down somewhere above Enaid, curious. It may be on the underside of a tree branch. Honestly, she doesn't even know what it is she is standing on, but its on the underside of it, looking down. Gravity seems to be working backwards on her for now, though she won't be around long.
Addison 's cheerful disposition flickers for only a fraction of a moment, and her shoulders seem to sink under the weight of her stange aura, that flickers just a smidge darker before all returns just as it was a moment ago. "It is a shame then." She looks to Eniad, so caught up in something else. "Perhaps later, if the two of you are ever in Covetton. The name of the place is the Drunken Chicken."
Alucinor senses a disturbance in space directly beneath the branch on which his back currently rests. Slowly his head turns to peek over the side of his perch at the new creature to have appeared from smoke.
Addison about jumps out of her skin at the sudden appearance of Kytkyt. She takes three of four steps backward, shock evident on her gawking features.
Enaid head bobs as if answering or agreeing to some unheard voice.....a slight sniff as her head looks up to gaze into the eyes of Kytkyt......a blink of eyes ..
Kytkyt looks back and also blinks, then smiles. Its halfway between friendly and demented. Theres something that amuses her intently about being able to stand upside-down.
Kytkyt 's own fresh fragrence of cherry blossom perfume and her natural burnt matches smell would likely gradually override that other smell present. She layers on the perfume something vicious sometimes, but it never gets rid of her disturbing 'natural' scent, not that theres much natural about it.
Enaid lips curve into a smile as she looks into those eyes of Kytkyt " Hello....are you comfortable hanging thus?" another nod to the unseen partner..
Alweih peered about his beshrouded surrounds, branches rocking as if on springs in response to the shifting of weight upon them. Too jaded to register much surprise at the latest being to materialise, the creature's gaze rested only momentarily on Kytkyt before veering wildy upwards, winding through snow-laden boughs to get a glimpse at the heavens above. "Perhaps I will indulge you in yur hospitality after all. One cannot go one's entire life eating smoked venison, goats' cheese and vegetables, hm?"
Alucinor hears the offer, and pauses at the name, eyes wide. Once or twice he seems to cough, and yet he's smiling as he does so, making it appear as if he's fighting back laughter. "So be it. The ... Drunken ... Chicken." To the woman on the branch hanging or standing upside down beneath him, he raises a hand casually. "Glad you could pop in and hang out." And then, he begins to lean one way as if losing his balance, to fall off the branch and roll slightly, landing on his feet deftly beside Enaid once more.
Kytkyt replies quite simply: "Kytkyt is not hanging. Am standing normally on this ... up ... branch. From this perspective, am the one on the floor and you're the one on the ceiling. Strange how that works, isn't it?"
Addison 's grin to Alucinor is a sly one. "Yes that's right. The Drunken Chicken. "
Kytkyt speaks the truth. Her dress and her hair hang up, which relative to the rest of her could be considered down. Its not inverted, which is the point. Curiously, she reaches down toward Enaid with one hand, just to check at first to see if she is within reach, non-hostile.
Addison then turns to Alweih with the most ravishing smile so far. "Most excellent! Whenever you're ready, we can be off. It's not too far a walk from here. Just down into the village a small bit."
Enaid sudden burst out laughing her eyes rising to gaze at the sky above her ..or that which peeks through the tree tops to reach the ground...." Ahhh....yes...looking at it from that perseptive I am the one on the good earth ceiling I wonder why I am not falling"
Kytkyt is reaching out and asks: "Why don't you take Kytkyt's hand then and see what happens? Hehehe!"
Alucinor has his own experiment in mind, as he leans slowly forward to place his hands upon the ground, then flips up to stand vertically upon his hands, his cloak falling down about his arms in a rigid and firm handstand, grinning up ... or is it down ... at Kytkyt amusedly.
Enaid with smiling face reaches out her hand to the female....a gaze down towards the good earth to that which she had been talking to giving a final nod as slender fingers curve and grasp around the shape of Kytkyt's own
Alweih 's attention was now twisted downwards, seasoned occulars scanning the floor below. "Well, it seems that I have got myself into a- ah! Here we are..." One gloved hand relinquished its grip, whilst the rest of that admirable frame remained rigid, causing him to topple diagonally from the lattice of branches. Soon enough both feet were on the ground, their owner having landed rather heavily but with a certain amount of dignity. Dusting himself off, the fellow sought out Addison once more, offering her a brief flick of his camouflaged brows. "Lead the way, then."
Kytkyt takes hold of Enaid's hand. The feeling would be strange. While most of Enaid would be subject to normal gravity, if its at all possible the hand and a portion of the arm would feel like up was down and vice versa. Kytkyt seems to be concentrating, and slowly the effect starts to spread down Enaid's arm toward her shoulder. Bit by bit she would be gradually getting lighter as her bodyweight was distributed to 'fall' in either direction. If it continued though, she might end up falling upward.
Addison grins at the night elf and then turns herself homewards. "Until next we meet, merry travels, strangers" She bids farewell to Eniad and Alucinor.
Alucinor gazes at the spot where hands join, almost as if he's able to see the way reality is slowly bending. He gazes to Enaid with some concern whilst Addison and the dark-skinned individual make their way to the village. "Adieu," he says, not taking his eyes off the pair of women that together strength from ground to branch.
[Addison ] "My name is Addison, by the way..." She adds, as afterthought, as much for Alweih as for those who are thusly enraptured by KytKyt, who's defiance of gravity baffles the young playwright.
[Alucinor ] "Alucinor!" the upside-down woodsman calls back to the woman, showing no signs whatsoever that he is straining in his position.
Enaid eyes widen as she feels her arm gain a lightness in weight....feeling it creeping .in a way growing along her arm...fore the breifest of minutes her attention is taken by the farewell of the others as she looks to them a nod and words " Til we meet again..be safe" head turning back to Kytkyt as the progress seemed to grow...like a vien seeking territory
Kytkyt would eventually bring it to the point, provided the grip wasn't broken, where Enaid would float up from the ground, her inner ears would start playing dizzifying tricks with her mind, and she would start to fall upward past the branch where Kytkyt was standing. Of course, the strange upside-down girl wouldn't let go for a moment, and wouldn't let Enaid fall into the sky. How precisely she is keeping balance on such a branch is a mystery.
Kytkyt looks up at her, though it seems to be down, still smiling slightly dementedly. It was like being held by the slightest of grips over an infinite abyss. Doesn't seem so fun any more, does it? Kytkyt's advice seems a bit strange as she says: "Let go. ^.^ ... Just let go. You'll be alright. Just be careful not to land on your head!"
Addison shakes her head at the antics, and turns towards the eastern edge of the forest clearing. Starting at a brisk pace through the snow, it becomes evident that she is anxious to get to warmth.
Alweih strolled after Addison, powerful legs devouring the yards without much effort, each step met by the brisk, creaking 'crunch' of snow. "Alweih. Pleasure to meet you."
Enaid shivers from the weird sensation coursing through her body wondering at the ease of such an act..arm waving a little as she lifts further into the air....and hearing Kytkyt's words slowly her fingers slip through her grasp to with a sudden jolt break free
Severon-TDS - The beast like man emerged from the shadows of the trees, his very body being formed from the darkness. Orbs of blood crimson shine through the forest, peering past towards the groups of other beings. "Others around...., interesting...." Fangs hung over the creatures bottom lip as it begans its trek towards the others, shadows following the very hatred of him. Severon however was not controlled by the darkness but merely a bearer of its property.
Alucinor lets out a cry of alarm as Enaid rises from the ground and begins to fall past Kytkyt ... incredibly enough, he seems to 'drop' from the ground and begin to 'fall' upwards all his own, arms stretched out as he hopes to catch Enaid before she falls into the very sky itself ... only to realize that she is in fact just fine in Kytkyt's grip. He quickly 'lands' on a tree branch above, now upside down with the rest of them. Though as Kytkyt speaks, he seems to grin ... and holds out both his arms in hopes of catching the lovely Enaid after she is released. But wouldn't that require her to fall 'up' into his waiting arms? Yes. He knows this, and is ready to take steps to ensure that's what happens.
Addison is wearing soft suede shoes, and thus her footfall in the snow is virtually silent. "Likewise."
Sahara was standing within the thick of the forest, her blades drawn, yet her movements revealed no anger nor enemy to strike. Fluid, graceful, perhaps even beautiful were her body's movements as she made slow sweeps with those deathly sharp kitanas. Broken from her meditation by a loud cry, those vivid blue eyes returned to focus, her head turning in the direction of the sound....waiting..listening.
Alucinor directs gravity, as far as Enaid is concerned, to still be opposite the normal ... so she'll fall into his arms as previously stated.
Kytkyt has to go, but thats ok. The grip is loosened, and the moment contact is broken, Enaid doesn't fall up, but becomes subject to normal gravity again. The result would be that she would fall head-first to the ground. Kytkyt meanwhile steps around the branch, as if rolling it under her feet, and leaving herself standing on it. She then hops off it... downward to the next tree, as if the ground was a wall and the floor was eastward. She vanishes off this way, hopping 'down' from tree to tree in an easterly direction.
[Addison ] At such a pace, they would pass quickly through the clearing, and the small bit of forest left for them to cover, to emerge into a still quite sleepy Covetton.
Robyn was out for a stroll through the forest. Completely ignorant of anyone else's presence, she walked through the deeply vegetated areas, pushing away limbs and branches as she walked.
Enaid smiles as she at frist realease seems to bob waever first up....and worried look fleeting and fast as she dips thinking she is falling to the ground like a leaf from a tree in autumn and yet just as suddenly gravity takes her up and up....into two strong arm
Sahara She did not interfere...She was no hero, no saviour. The thought brought a deep and near disturbing laughter to expel from her, a soft ching filling the air as she sheathed her blades, choosing to stalk silently through the forest in search of a lake or stream from which to drink. She inhaled a deep breath of the crisp air, the scent of the wild invigorating
Severon-TDS - Darkness followed this being like a plague, his entire entity was based around its properties. The death and destruction it could bring were not the ways he wanted to use it however it always seemed to be used for evil even if his intetions were good. A strand of white hair brushed across his face, a clawed hand flicked up to wave it aside. Stepping past those around him the black cloth like wings seemed apart of his cloak, though with closer inspection it would reveal their purpose. "Ah such a place rejuvenates my spirit...." A sigh of happiness, if it were possible, was released as the comfort of being around others settled in.
Alucinor catches Enaid as she falls up into his arms, dipping slightly from his upside-down perch upon the branch and smiling to her, one hand under her legs as the other is about her shoulders. For a moment, he just smiles and laughs, gazing into her face happily, ever the stout gentleman who would never let a helpless lass come to harm.
[Sahara ] "I am inclined to agree", she commented as she had neared, hearing his words. Those intensely bright blue eyes studied him, her hands clasped in front of her with no intention of drawing her blades. He was a creature like none other she'd crossed paths with, but she had yet to sense herself in danger's path.
Enaid feels the strength in those arms that wrap around her....seemingly stopping her from falling into the sky...a head turning as Alucinor's face is bathed....swarmped by a mass of tumbling hair....pointed ears delicatly shaped now clearly seen the scent of her filling his nostrils with her strong fragrance...those crushed violet lips opening into a greeting a thank you....as her slender fingers curl over the muscle of his arm about her waist
Robyn came upon what seemed to be to her a fairly sturdy tree, and she smiled. Climbing the trunk of the tree until she got to a branch that would be a couple of feet higher than her height on the ground, she opened up her bag and placed 3 big hooks around the branch, letting the chains attached to them fall down. Hopping down from the tree, she took the chains into her hand, stepping onto a low tree stump beside her. With the chains, she attached the fish hooks hanging from them to the freshly pierced wrings on the top of her back. She crossed her arms over her chest, smiled, and then jumped off the stump, hanging contently in the air.
[Robyn ] freshly pierced rings*
Severon-TDS - Tilting his back he would look towards her, a silent laugh filling him as he turned back to stare into nothing. "Someone who agress with me, how insidious." A small shrug is all he gave to that answer, those crimson eyes seemed blank as they scanned the area but the emotions he felt were kept deep inside and were hard for mortal minds to comprehend.
Alucinor looks all about him, at the green, brown, and red silky strands surrounding his face, at ears whose points are suddenly revealed, at a hand so gently placed upon his arm near the heavy copper bracer that fits so tightly about his tanned wrist ... he gazes, head turning, and lips spread into a fondly admiring smile. He breaths in deeply, actualy leaning forward into the lusciously fragrant scent, almost hypnotized by it. Words escape him, humming in delight for a moment ... and then he simply begins to walk along the underside of the branch, foot taking the turn where branch meets trunk easily as he begins to walk down the trunk of the tree as one would walk across a fallen log, heading for the ground. "A playful being she was, whoever she was," he says aloud, "though I should think her lacking in subtlety in her whimsy." The last step is taken from trunk to ground, and once more all is right with the world, with Alucinor's feet upon the ground, and gravity's pull to the center of the earth.
Sahara Unknown to him those shadows which seemed to swarm him would extend then tendrils towards her, as if there was a calling there. As she spoke she stepped closer, coming to sit upon the ground a foot or two away from him, one hand swirling the darkness that sought to embrace her. She was calm to the point of it being eerie, though hints of emotions were revealed as a small smile curled upon her lips. ~ "I am not like most....of course, neither are you eh?"
[Sahara ] their tendrils..not then tendrils...LOL)))
Severon-TDS - He laughed softly to himself before tilting his head and looking towards her again. It was true that he was not like any other, mostly because he was the last of his kind. A champion in the eyes of champions, the twin tails, Violence and Madness had now slithered out to call to the shadows around her. Bringing the darkness into him was the only was to control. "I guess I'm not. Aye, I am not. But can anyone be normal anymore?"
Enaid could not help but laugh a soft sound of tree branches moving.....trusting in the strength of this male...letting him carry..carress her to the ground...nodding in agreement in his speech sending an abundanment of tresses in his face once more and as they once more reach the soft earth bells tinkle merrily as her toes kiss the ground..." She like so many of this world is a strange mixture..yet a happy soul for all that she is" twisting around to face him once more hair falling loosely upon her shoulders the soft frangrance of blooms around her...ears all but gone as she smiles up at him
Shiki stalked through the wood, her dark eyes peering around as she held the Katana close to her, a sick grin on her bruised face. Her appearance seemed of a beggar at the moment, her clothes grey and ragged, yet she held on her waist a belt and sheath which she had acquired from Jared s dead body. She had not paid much attention to the Katana s detail, bearing in mind as she had only just acquired the blade, but looking at it now she realised Karl had had his name engraved on the hilt. Growling she felt like chucking the thing away, but she knew she would kill him with it before she did so. Kill him with his own blade. Another sick grin sported her face and she moved along. She would find some new clothes soon, right after she had dealt with scum
Sahara she shrugged lightly, a slight frown crossing her smooth young features as she stood, stepping closer to him. "I am no more than a mere mortal beyond my training and education in certain arts. But I am not like most in the sense that as a mortal I hold no fear to cripple my actions." He had taken from her those things which ached to consume her, knowing she had crossed into their realm time and again, a mortal of all creatures. How intent her gaze was as she looked over him in silence, her fingers curling at her sides as she resisted reaching out and touching him.
Alucinor hears the words being spoken all around him even as he lets Enaid back to the earth where she belongs, joyful reluctance upon his hardy face as one who has just had the privelege to, if only for a moment, possess what is wild and untamed, happy to see its release yet saddened as tender hands release her. "Some things, at least, are simple," he says, gazing to her with sparkling eyes.
