Flash_Guardian doesn't seem to be as badly bruised today as he continues to lay insulation in the walls, tacking it to the sides of the frames. His left eye is still surrounded by a shiny black ring, but it at least has regained its full range of motion and vision. Several tacks are in Flash's mouth, waiting to be put into place to hold the insulation. Currently, Flash is lost somewhere in the east wing.
PhorenNarqu wandered, towards where he heard the noise. A soft, sad look on his face as he walks. Hoping that his weapons and armour have lain undisturbed.
[Flash_Guardian ] Flash is halfway into a wall when he hears Phoren approach, quickly sticking another tack into place and calling over to him, his words muffled by the tacks inbetween his lips. "Ey. Wass goin' un?"
[PhorenNarqu ] "Not much... Why?" He would go over to help Flash with the strange substance he seemed to be laying
[Flash_Guardian ] The pinkish substance Flash has been setting into the walls is thick, soft, and cottony. It seems very good at blocking sound, as well as warmth. Flash shrugs, back to tending to the insulation, a task which is almost finished for the entire dojo. The other three wings have already been insulated, while the central room has long since been insulated by a vaccuum seal, Cannon's earlier work. "Jush curiush. I mean, ya beh hangin' aroun zhe islan vor a vhile." A pause while Flash removes another tack and pins the insulation into place. "Jush vondered vhat your up to."
[PhorenNarqu ] "I'm starting over... I gave Aislinn my coming of age gift, yesterday."
Kitari continued to flap his great white wings as he flew over the main land, he was just going to pass over but he needed a rest, and maybe some food. He would look down pondering on landing on the inland area, but he wanted somewhere more secluded from society and quiet, so he would make himself fly out more for a tiny island. A few beats later he would spot a tiny island noticed the open area amongst the trees, but he didn t see the construction going on at the moment. He would sigh as he slowed his movements, lowering towards the island. Now he didn t notice the people, but the people might notice him as he descended towards the opening.
Flash_Guardian tilts his head to one side, amused at such a notion. "Really?" The last tack is pulled from his mouth and stuck in place. "Seems like a lot of gifts were given yesterday. Glad to hear you got on the bandwagon, too." A bit more seriously now, Flash looks down and smiles. "And it's also good to see you and Aislinn treating each other civilly for a change. I'm sure things aren't easy for you, and they haven't been ... but things will get better. You'll see." Flash gives Phoren an encouraging smile before pushing away from the wooden wall support in search of more tacks, a slightly gloomy look coming over his face, though Phoren may not have seen it before Flash turned away.
Flash_Guardian is inside at the moment, and not able to see any aerial approaches. But he may hear the sounds of wind over wing alerting him to someone's approach.
[PhorenNarqu ] "I'm giving you my chainmail, and Benjamin Blue a good solid punch. I'll buy things for the others."
Flash_Guardian isn't sure what to make of Phoren's gift, pausing in his search for the missing tin of tacks for a moment and pondering. "Uhh ... I'm happy that you thought of me, but ... I really don't have any use for armor. My martial training protects me better than any armor ever could." Flash then taps the large golden bracer on his right arm knowingly. "And I have armor of my own besides. If you would still give it to me, I will accept it gracefully, of course. But perhaps you should find someone else who would use the armor better." Flash looks right at Phoren now. "Like yourself. And I would appreciate it if would leave Blue alone. Unless he's done something that warrants a fist to the face?" Flash stands now, inquisitive.
[PhorenNarqu ] "He just moved on in after I was gone. Didn't even wait to see if I was back on my feet. I think that warrants a fist to the face."
Flash_Guardian simply shakes his head. "Then you'd best reserve a fist for Aislinn's face as well. As far as I can see, the decision was made jointly, as any good relationship should be. Blue and Aislinn are a couple now, and each of them are equally at fault for such." Flash seems completely serious and logical about the matter, folding his arms and staring at Phoren. "So shouldn't you hurt both of them? I mean, it's only fair, after all."
[PhorenNarqu ] "No... I never hit women, unless they hit me first. I do have some honour."
Flash_Guardian nods, eyes narrowing as he does his best to hold back harsher words. "You hit only men if you feel like it? That's only halfway honorable." Flash's eyes again wander, trying to find what he lost. "Though you should know that you've already hurt Aislinn very much without even laying a finger on her. How do you think she'll feel about you for striking her beloved?" Flash finds the tin of tacks at long last, resting up against one of the other wooden supports nearby. "Ah." He walks over, snatches the bin, and carries it back over to where he was fiddling with the insulation earlier.
[PhorenNarqu ] "I know... He just... ARGH!"
Flash_Guardian closes his eyes and nods at Phoren's frustration, seeming a little sad. There is still some anger left in Phoren's heart, it seems. "I'm sorry," he apologizes. "I realize this whole thing must still be awkward for you. I just ... I'd like to help, if I can. Even if just by listening. Or offering you something else to break in lieu of Blue's head." Flash chuckles a little, trying to add a little humor to an otherwise humorless conversation.
[PhorenNarqu ] "I think Kurn fancies me."
Flash_Guardian grabs another handful of tacks out of the tin, looking rather confused. "Kurn?" Flash blinks, obviously unfamiliar with anyone by that name. "That's a rather strange name for a woman ... is she of dwarven lineage, by chance? Or maybe one of the more reptilian races ..." Flash ponders for a moment as he lines up the next bit of insulation for tacking.
[PhorenNarqu ] "No. He's an old halfing friend."
Flash_Guardian stops his work cold. A brief pause, and a startled word. "He?"
[PhorenNarqu ] "Yes."
Flash_Guardian takes a moment to shift his image of the situation. "Oh. Right." He seems a little embarrassed at his misgivings, simply losing himself once more in his work. "Sooo ..." he awkwardly begins, "what do you think of this Kurn friend of yours?" A neutral question, if ever there was one.
[PhorenNarqu ] "He's not half bad. For a halfling."
Kitari would finally touch base on the ground, he would eye the structure that seemed to be in construction would sigh slowing his wings down the beating causing some dust to rise and a few things that was light enough. He would take down his hair from the pony tail shaking his purple locks out slightly as his wings seem to fade away from view as they retreat around his body to form his white leather jacket. He was wearing simple clothes. Low cut jeans along with a white tee that cuts off at his belly, showing off the pentagram that surrounds his belly button, and a pair of black heeled leather boots.
Flash_Guardian chuckles, wondering to himself it Phoren's play on words was intentional. Flash finishes the current section of insulation, moving to snatch the next one off the pile. He isn't quite sure what to say at this point. "Well ... I guess I just ... hope things work out for you. You've got the whole world out there, waiting for you." Flash tilts his head thoughtfully. "Unless, of course, you've decided to just stay here. In which case, you have the whole island out there waiting for you." Flash shrugs, scooping up the next bit of insulation and carrying it to the next empty section of wall.
[PhorenNarqu ] "You find it odd, don't you?"
Flash_Guardian cocks his head to the other side, listening. "Too heavy for a songbird's wings," he mutters under his breath. At length, the tacks in his hand are thrown back in the tin, and the insulation is dropped to the floor. "Of course not," Flash states plainly. "Guys and gals fall in love all the time, same gender or otherwise. We all have our own specific tastes, I guess, and there's nothing wrong with leaning either way. The only bad relationship is a lopsided one." Flash now turns and walks toward the exit in the south wall of the east wing, poking his head out to see who has just arrived.
Kitari would open the water bottle that seemed to be taken from the bag that now sat at his feet. One of his many gifts of course, to materialize things from nothing. He then would place the cap on the bottle and would turn around to look at the structure, pondering weather or not to enter. He then would jump slightly at the sight of the man that peaked out what appeared to be a door, an un-finished door he would notice, his face and skin that showed would glisten with the sweat of the flight. It seemed to take more out of him than a bird. He really didn t say anything afraid that he would be told that he was trespassing. But he didn t want to leave such a beautiful place, finally a small but strong voice would flow from his lips, I am sorry. I didn t mean too was just resting from my.
Flash_Guardian squints at the thirsty individual sitting out on the lawn, slightly perplexed by his talk of flight. Flash had thought he'd heard wingbeats, yet this man had none. Still, a compassionate look is given to the newcomer, as well as a friendly smile and a nod of greeting. "Rest as long as you like, stranger. This place is a sanctuary for all, including weary travellers. My name is Flash. If you need anything from me, or perhaps you'd like to know more about this place, just ask. Welcome to Redfang Island." With a final look over the man, Flash ducks back inside to continue his work, thankful to be able to work indoors now for the most part. Winter near the coast was never bitterly cold, but it wasn't pleasant just the same.
Kitari would smile at the man s response, he would have responded, by giving his name but the man had already seemed eager to return to his work understood clearly about work, he runs his own club for heaven s sake! He then would drink down some more water and would stand up would then stretch out lightly allowing his throat to stretch as well as he starts to sing. It had been a while since he sang too much to sing about these days. As his voice rang out like an angel blowing a beautiful horn. He would bend down and would pet a few of the wood land creatures that seemed to come from their homes and nests. He would blush slightly thinking about the man that came out to see who had flown in wished to see him again.
Flash_Guardian returns to his strip of insulation shortly, picking it back up and grabbing another handful of tacks, glancing to Phoren and wondering if he was still there or had vanished. He's just maneuvered the insulation into place when his ears catch a very beautiful sound flowing in from outside. Flash closes his eyes, drinking in the calm of music which can only come from a pure soul. Flash chuckles lightly to himself, then dutifully resumes his work. "The angels all seem fond of this place," Flash mutters to himself. "Maybe I picked a good spot."
Flash_Guardian can't help but fall into the visitor's melody, actually finding himself humming along. The tune reminds him of his many visits to heaven during his time as an avatar. His eyes grow misty, and he shakes away the tears, going back to focussing on his work now.
PhorenNarqu went to his armour, and kneeled before it, resting his head on the smooth metal, silent. Staying like that for a long time. Doing something he'd neglected to do for too long. He was meditating, repeating his mantra to himself
Kitari would continue to sing for a while longer, stopping only when he felt more rested. He then would turn around to gaze at the un finished building and would hear Flash s voice saying that he could come in and ask questions, as if the man had said them all again as he stood there. He then would approach the building slowly, his face would brighten with the ever increasing blush his arm would move to his revealing stomach, one of his nervous ticks that happens ever so often. He then, after brief searching trough the unfinished building, would see the man putting up insulation into the wall. He would speak with a voice above a whisper, My name is Kitari.
Flash_Guardian finds Phoren inside, performing some kind of meditation, a notion that brings some amusement to Flash. He had never pictured Phoren to be that type of man before. And then he hears the hushed voice of the man standing in the unfinished southern doorway to the east wing. Looking up from his work, he smiles at the man. "Nice to meet you, Kitari. Come on in, if you'd like," Flash offers, nodding a head to his surroundings. "The place isn't finished yet, but it's getting homier by the minute. A few more rolls, and all the walls of the dojo will be insulated. From there, it's just a matter of putting boards up over the walls and laying out a floor for the four outer wings, and it'll be done." Flash grins to himself, pleased with the progress that has been made thus far. As a side note, Flash adds, "You have a very beautiful singing voice."
Kitari seemed to hang on every word the man said, his long purple locks would fall in his face when he nodded slightly at the end. He opened his mouth to say something tell he was interrupted by the heavy blush that tinted his cheeks, he would lower his head slightly, Y heard me singing? He didn t think that the man would be able to hear him, but then again he was singing kind of loud. He then would keep looking down at his hands, not able to look up at the man afraid that he would be disciplined for blushing happened a lot when he was living with his human parents, the thought of a man falling in love with another man was a sin, but he didn t think so. So every time he would blush when a very cute man walked by him, he would be punished, not all men loved others of their same sex as he did.
Flash_Guardian nods happily, keeping his eyes on the task at hand. "Few people can sing with such purity," Flash says, keeping his voice low for Phoren's benefit, so as not to disturb his meditation. "Just like the angels of heaven, and I'm not afraid to say it. After all, I should know. I've heard their songs more times than I can count, and each has been more lovely and heart-wrenching than the last." Flash closes his eyes in an expression best described as bittersweet, swaying his head back and forth once or twice. "Although I haven't heard such song in a while. Not since ..." He tilts his head forward, trying to remember, and when he does, there is a sad expression. "Not since last I saw my love, at the camp of the gypsies." An uncertain pain finds its way to Flash's heart, and he speaks no further of it.
PhorenNarqu slowly stood, and opened his eyes. If either were able to sense it, there was a change in an aura. Darkness being driven out. Clarity restored. He just looked at the two, and particularly at the newcomer
Kitari would close his eyes around tears that seemed to fall down his cheeks, he felt the man s pain in his own heart much as the man loved the music of the Angel s, he couldn t forget his love was understandable. He then would brave himself embarrassed all the time would never allow him a friend, let alone, a mate. He then would slowly make his way towards the man, placing a gentle hand on the man s shoulder, Maybe could help you mend that wound that you have. It was a risky move on his part nervousness could be felt in the slight shaking of his hand yet he never moved it from where he placed it, until he felt a shift in the balance of darkness becoming pure hand immediately is removed as his eyes fall on the other that was in the room, he didn t seem to have noticed him tell just now could have been his downfall had this person wanted to kill him. He would blush and lower his gaze again I am sorry, that was way out of line.
Flash_Guardian looks up to the strange visitor now, ceasing in his work for a moment. "You could ... help ...?" Flash blinks once or twice, not hearing the rest of Kitari's words as a look of hope surges across his face, lighting it up. "You know where she is? Have you seen her?" Flash's heart skips a beat ... truly he has not seen his love for more than a pair of weeks now. As he looks to Kitari, the amethyst pendant hanging from his neck would begin to glow, mirroring Flash's hope and desire for his beloved.
Flash_Guardian notes that he would have allowed the hand on the shoulder, finding comfort in it.
Kitari would seem to lower his gaze, he didn t know where his beloved was the only thing that he could do.was ease the pain allowing the man to find inner peace until him and his love meet once again, but how do you tell someone who thinks that you have given them false hope? He would then sigh and would look the man straight in the eye falling down his cheeks, his head shaking only slightly as he speaks, No I do not know where your love is, but as an Angel am able to your pain, to allow you to find peace. His voice still above a whisper he seemed to go back to his nervous self.
Flash_Guardian 's face falls a bit. As his hope falls, the pinkish-purple glow surrounding his pendant slowly fades away. "Oh," he utters, staring at Kitari now, Flash's turn to be rather embarrased. "I'm sorry ... I guess I misunderstood what you meant." Flash's brow wrinkles as he watches the tears roll down the angel's face, more than anything else now feeling sympathy for him. "Thank you ... but I have long since found my inner peace. When Bida returns, I'm sure my heart will be more at ease, so there's no need to worry yourself." Flash chuckles now, trying to make Kitari smile. "She's a big angel, she can take care of herself. I'm not worried."
Kitari would smile lightly, he too had false hope, he thought that this man alas he isn t. He then would nod and would step back slightly, I am sorry to have your project. He then would turn around like if he was going to leave started for the door hoped the man would ask him to stay but what would that do? He couldn t help the man and knocked on the wrong door, towards love. His arm would go back to cover his bare stomach as his cheeks continue to stay in the red tint they were.
Flash_Guardian stands there, rather confused, wondering if it was something he had said. Flash may show respect for same-sex couples, but he's as straight as it can get ... and almost as ignorant about the gay dating scene. Flash wouldn't know a gay person even if one came right up and bit him. Jaw wavering slightly, Flash tries to stumble upon the right words, shaking his head. "You haven't disturbed anything," Flash assures the retreating angel, thinking him to be extremely shy. "I said you could stay here as long as you like, and I meant it. If nothing else, I'd enjoy some company. You know ... company that actually talks back." Flash gives Phoren a rather disappointed sidelong glance as he sits there, meditating, then looks back to where Kitari stands in the door about to leave.
Aislinn rode towards the island upon the dapple gray mare. As usual, as of late, from far away she looked like a male. Dressed in knightly attire, instead of a gown. The rider and the horse began to approach the islands, until they finally came to the land. In a matter of moments, they pushed through the treeline, and entered the clearing. Now, that they were closer, it was fairly evident Aislinn was a woman. Long red hair was pulled back into a single braid. Though her features were well hidden by the tunic. She wore leather breeches as well, upon her slender legs.
Kitari nods, making his way towards the man and would smile, I would love to stay. He then would lower his hand and would stand there watching the man work for a bit before speaking softly, Do you need any help? I have never built a house before.or even a Dojo I would love to help. He would just have to get over the fact that he stuck his nose in the wrong place was okay though because his cat Artemis told him that there is someone for everyone one day he knew he would find his mate, someone who would take care of him for a change.
Flash_Guardian smiles now that he and the angel are back on happier terms. "It's not hard work," Flash would tell Kitari. "Just pick up a strip of that pink, fuzzy insulation over there, put it into place between the wooden supports like so," Flash gestures to the one he is currently working on. "Then, just take some of these tacks," he explains, kicking the tin of thumbtacks next to him, "and stick it into place. Make sure you get the tacks in all the way. Otherwise the insulation could probably collapse after we get the walls plastered." Flash hasn't turned down an able pair of hands yet, and today is no exception. Aislinn may be able to hear the two conversing from within the east wing.
Kitari having understood what the man said he would point at one of the pink, fuzzy, prickly insulation and it would begin to disappear in bright white sparkles the sparkles would then follow his finger as he pointed to an available space, the sparkles would then gather there to form the pink insulation then would wave two fingers at the tack bucket as a hand full of tacks disappear in the same fashion, the two fingers pointing at the insulation. The sparkles would seem to split and separate to different parts of the pad of pink stuff and would then form tacks that would emerge themselves all the way in. He would smile and would point to his finished task, Like that right?
Flash_Guardian watches the flashy display put on by Kitari, looking now to the finished product and shaking his head in wonderment. "Yeah ... yeah, like that." Flash seems absolutely bewildered, shaking his head as he mutters to himself. "Cannon can do that, Kalakr can do that ... even this guy can teleport multiple objects into place. Why the heck not me?" Flash simply shrugs and gets back to work, pleased at the notion of finishing sooner. In truth, there wasn't that much more insulation to place ... a few more minutes, and the eastern wing would probably be finished.
Kitari would smile at his work and would look over at the other, he would giggle slightly, it had been a while since he ever had so much fun would repeat the process of the earlier insulation for the next piece beside the previous one. With the tacks finally in place and the last of the sparkles dissipate he would go back over the previous laid out insulation and would apply his Magick to the tacks to reinforce them voice would seem to take on a mind of it s own when he seems to sing out a more happy bouncy tune, he even starts to spin slightly as he finishes the work. He would almost look like a lonely looking child that just now got out of being afraid to Flash the way he is acting.
Flash_Guardian seems to get caught up in the rhythm of Kitari's song, straightening the insulation and placing the tacks in time with the beat, grinning as he goes, his work adding a bit of audible percussion to the bouncy tune. Work always loves company, it seems. Flash quickly moves on to grab and place the next piece of insulation, tacking it down, his movements not missing a beat.
Kitari would continue to dance and sing, his spinning causing his wings to transform back they didn t seem to be causing any danger or taking up any more space. But as soon as this happens the scent of clean crisp air, and the smell of flowers would start to fill the space. He would continue to giggle continuing to place up insulation using his magick, reinforcing the tacks of Flash s insulation was having so much fun wished it wouldn t end but he saw that there was only one piece of insulation left and was saddened by it a little, but he kept singing and dancing.
Demitrius_Branch precariously crossed the bridge that connected the mainland to the island. The cane he held, occasionally tapped the wood infront of his feet. It wasn't that he didn't trust it, but, he seemed to give an unsure look to the waters around him. Almost swallowing dryly as he tried to quicken the pace. It was obvious, he wanted off the bridge and to safe, firm soil soon.
[Flash_Guardian ] After a while, Flash begins to at last take notice of Kitari's rather ... bubbly behavior. Slowly the pieces fit together in his mind, and he finally manages to put two and two together. Silently he mouths an 'oh,' just as he places the last tack. Having finished tackking his current piece of insulation into place, he turns and spots the last piece laying there, just waiting to be placed. Flash seems slightly uneasy as he looks to Kitari, try as he might to not show it. He gestures to the last piece with a hand, grinning and offering, "Do the honors?"
Demitrius_Branch let out a sigh of relief as he came to the dry land he sought, after the bridge. His gray eyes turned, giving a last glance to the waters. He straightened his poise, shaking off his nerves, and began to walk between the surrounding trees and bramble the island offered. They told a story, that a building was being errected in the middle of this land. He was curious, to say the least.
[Dark_Frost ] The surface of some water beigins to freeze then the Ice goes onto land and over near some trees, the a figure araises from the ice, while araising the figure is pure ice, when all the way out,it has skin ann all the other crap,Following Behind on the ice path comes Makita
[Dark_Frost ] The ice path is then absorbed by Dark Frost
Kitari would stop dancing, his singing would come to an end as he feels Flash s uneasiness, he then would look at the man in the eyes and would then see why just realized that he was gay.he then would look down at the last piece of insulation and would just wave his hand and it would immediately disappear and reappear the rest of the tacks applying just as fast then would sigh, I am sorry.
Dark_Frost creates a path up to the Dojo
Demitrius_Branch approached the dojo, the sound of his cane echoed inside, since it was still mostly bare. "Hello?" He called out, his voice was soft as velvet. He thought he heard noises from within, and so, hesitatingly entered. "I do not mean to be rude, but there is no one out here.." He called out again, since it was considered not very polite to enter a building without permission.
[Dark_Frost ] sinks his feet into it then moves himself to the dojothe arasies, leaving the path there
Dark_Frost walks about 2 1/2 feet from the ice path
Flash_Guardian consolingly shakes his head at Kitari, chuckling lightly in spite of his unease. "No, I'm sorry. I should have realized earlier. Uhh ..." Flash once again isn't sure what to say. "Don't worry about it, alright?" Flash now hears another voice, turning to look back in its direction. "And I do appreciate the help," he says, listening carefully. "Really. Anyway, if you'll excuse me, it seems I have another guest to greet." Flash now makes his way over to Demitrius, who Flash assumes is standing somewhere in the southern wing.
Makita steps ontodry land her slender delicate looking feet touch the dry rough surface which abraises her skin. Her dress shows her right slender leg and the slit gently flows down like water on a water fall. her dress shows off every curve on her body, the top of the blue dress looks sort or orental. Her eyes match her dress. her tan skin glisten in the sun which off set her jet black hair which is tied up into a bun, Her beauty is uncomparable. She begins to walk toward th middle of the Island in the direction of the dojo.
Makita reaches the dojo and looks around for people in general
Demitrius_Branch was indeed in the southern wing, as it was the entrance. He took off the dark gray top hat, bowing to Flash now in a fluid move. "Greetings. I take it you are the owner of this lovely building? I apologize for my intrusion, but my curiousity overcame me."
Makita walks into the dojo searching every room for someone and reaches the two men but stand quietly in the hall listening to their conversation.
Makita notes everything that the men do.
Flash_Guardian nods to the classy-attired gentleman. "That I am," he says, bowing slightly in greeting. "My name is Flash, and this is my dojo. It's still being constructed, as you can probably see. And don't worry about the intrusion," Flash adds, shrugging. "You aren't the first." Flash now spies another lovely lady as she steps into view. "It appears you aren't the last, either," Flash adds with a grin.
Makita smiles sweatly and walks into the room blushing, trying to show the best quilities in a woman: quiet beautiful and obedant
Demitrius_Branch stood again, and smiled to Flash first. "Demitrius Vitalis Branch. I fear Demitri shall do fine, though. An honor to meet you, good sir." He turned his gaze as Flash addressed someone else who had entered as well. The slender man approached Makita, taking her hand and kissing the top if she would allow, in a polite bow. "My lady. A pleasure, as well." He would straighten after that.
Makita smiles at Demitri, "The pleasure is mine fine gentalman," she says with a courtisy.
Demitrius_Branch smiled in mirth, though he looked rather curious as to why she was trying to be so obediant. "I had heard another voice in here, good Flash. Are you hiding another guest?" He chuckled softly.
Makita revears the rule to speak only when spoken to.
Makita 's up bringing was very disoplined and strict.
Flash_Guardian would look behind him now, over his left shoulder. "Actually, there is one other ... he's probably still in the east wing." Flash shrugs, not sure what the best course of action is at this point. "We can make our way there, if you'd like to meet him?"
Makita moves her bangs out of her face to show her beautiful eyes, watching flash. It seams that she fancies him but was taught not to show it.
Makita places her hands in each other in front of her and moves out of the door way so she wouldn't get in the way of the men.
Demitrius_Branch frowned, as it had become quiet where Flash had originally been. "Are you sure your guest has not left? The only noise I can hear is from us.." He mentioned, tapping his cane a little on the floor.
Makita giggles softly at Demitri's tapping. She covers her mouth doing so but soon goes back to her orginal position.
Flash_Guardian listens keenly, then sadly nods. "I think you're right," Flash agrees. "He seemed fond of singing, that one. But I can't hear him now. Perhaps he's already left." Another shrug is given, and a curious glance to the woman. "I guess ... feel free to make yourselves at home."
