Flash_Guardian is now applying tar paper to the last uncovered surface of roof, at the very top of the dojo.
Flash_Guardian grins happily, putting the last staple into place. He stands for a moment, looking around at all of the dojo down below, grinning satisfactorily. The entire roof is now covered with tar paper, and ready for some shingles. Wasting no time, Flash hops down from one section of roof to the next, gradually making his way to the ground and heading inside.
Little_Half~Breed_Kodora she ran into the dojo on all fours "flash?" she called out " flash?" she called out again. her back was stil quite sore, but she ignored it's pain.
Flash_Guardian makes his way to the center of the dojo, mostly out of sight, heading toward an immense pile of shingles, all neatly wrapped, boxed, and ready to be placed. Flash concentrates for a moment, standing absolutely still and focussing his power. A slight ripple effect is seen around his hands, and nothing more. After that, Flash gestures to the boxes of shingles one at a time, lifting them one by one into the air by the power of his magic, moving each one up and out through the lowest arch layer. 'Convenient,' he thinks. 'Glad I decided to put those arch layers into the roof's design.' In the middle of placing one of the packs of shingles on the roof outside, Flash hears Kodora calling from somewhere inside the dojo. "Over here!" he calls back to her from the central arena.
PhorenNarqu too was coming, arm still in a sling, a slight tune on his lips. He also heard Flash, and so decided to head inside
Little_Half~Breed_Kodora she finnkly reaches him and stops to catch her breath. she stands up and follows him " what are you doing? arn't you done yet?" she said eachword between pants.
Huraton observes the dojo in a hidden state, using the Ninjitsu of Tonko: Ni as his cover. All he does is listen in with his ears from that hidden place, eaves droping....
Flash_Guardian pauses for a moment, raising an eyebrow, then speaks. "Oh yeah, sure, I finished the dojo a long time ago. I'm just doing this for fun," Flash grumbles sarcastically, chuckling slightly and shaking his head. He turns to look at Kodora, smiling. "How've you been?" he asks, checking on his primary concern ... the bandages around Kodora's back. A tentative hug is offered as well.
Little_Half~Breed_Kodora she hugged back happily, taking a pile of shingles with ehr and climbing ontothe roof " my back still hurts, but the new bandages feel nice" she purred softly
Flash_Guardian smirks as Kodora starts to walk off with a box of shingles. "Oh no you don't! You're injured!" Flash now focusses his magic upon the box and Kodora both, attempting to levitate them both into the air.
Huraton ......' crack ' "...Ah crap!" ' SNAP!! '. The branch he was once perched upon breaks and smacks down onto the ground, but lucky for Huraton he jumps to a different branch just as it tumbles to the ground.
[PhorenNarqu ] "I'm injured too Flash. A greeting at the least would have been nice."
Alison flys in looking happyer than ever she seemd so happy about somthing and desided to one step further after doing her loop the loop in the sky she sends white flashers in the air makeing them look like fire works then screachers lould in the air cock a doldo do that girl looved the book peter pan a litttle to much
Flash_Guardian hears a loud crack, and his eyes go wide, filled with panic! He quickly sets Kodora back down (if she was lifted at all) and runs over to her. "By the gods! Kodora, are you alright? Did I hurt you?" Flash is now whirling around her, trying to inspect her injuries and see if she is hurt at all. Apparently Flash thinks the noise came from Kodora ...
Flash_Guardian looks briefly over to Phoren. "Oh ... hi, Phoren, I didn't hear you come in. And yes, I know you're injured, so no heavy lifting for you either." A crowing and flashing in the air above alerts him to the arrival of Alison, to which he grins fondly. Flash always loved fireworks ...
Huraton has an anime sweat drop come across his face as he looks up to the sky to see...fireworks? " ...What kind of place IS this? "
Alison lands happly as she sees flash she cooming down to the ground at really fast speed the stops a little befor she hits the ground looking round "hi guys im back miss me" she said looking so cheeful and happy
Jaia-Asumoto moves with the same composure as she had once during the earlier stages of her reign of the Asumoto Clan. Her narrow eyes slightly closed, she progressed with that same calm. The young samurai, wise beyond her years would move cautiously over the natural bridge that was revealed at low tide. She wore Hakama Himo trousers, and the customary robe of the samurai for her upper body. Her feet were bare, and the sash tied around her waist held the katana to her side, Ichijmond's hilt gripped firmly by her left hand. As a practitioner of Bushido, she had recently re-established her honour through several fights to the death. Ninja and ronin had fallen before Ichijmond, and her vengeance had been satisfied for the time being. Her ebony hair had been tied back into a Samurai topknot, to prevent obstruction of vision. However, she wore a straw hat which cast a shadow across her features...thus allowing no one, save those who knew her by nature, that she was Japanese. She would stop suddenly and gape, having not --
Aislinn rode to the islands upon the dapple gray mare she was always seen with. It would gave been odd to see the lady without the horse. The two were inseperable. They travelled upon the water, as if it were land, to finally come upon the island. Mare and lady passing through the tree-line, towards the near completed dojo.
Huraton silently moves in the tree, making only what nature would have the leaves sing in the breeze of the wind. Natures child moves swiftly into a clearing, exposeing himself in the open...to those that look for him anyway. He sits down and closes his eyes, now meditating to be one with the surroundings, gathering his chi energy to flow swiftly through his body..
Jaia-Asumoto -- the Redfang Dojo for sometime, and to witness it closer to completion as it was did catch her by surprise. She would begin to walk with the feline grace that her smaller, feminine form allowed...honed by years of training in the Samurai Arts, and some other martial skills that were not mentioned by Bushido. She would come to a stop half way into the meadow, her left hand still rested on the pommel of Ichijmond, her right arm simply dangling by her side. She would simply watch from this point, watching with the faintest hint of a smile.
Flash_Guardian sees that Kodora is alright, breathing a sigh of relief. He instead looks to the others nearby, Phoren and Alison. "Well, goodness!" he exclaims at Alison's daredevil manuever. "You betcha I missed ya!" he tells her with an eye scrunching grin. Then to Phoren, he looks back to his arm. "Ummm ... I never apologized for giving you that," Flash tells him. "Sorry. I hope it heals up again soon."
[PhorenNarqu ] "Yeah. well, I intend to do some lifting." he moved over to the boxes, and would heft one in his good arm. An advantage of being a vampire. "Right then, where do they go?"
Alison giggles happly as she folded her angel wings and she felt she was on the island she bit her lip nondeing she would ask today she felt so nerves her heart seemed to be pounding so hard she begin to pace up and down over and over
Huraton ...just sat there as his mind becomes one with the surroundings. The blades of grass that flow in the wind, the many animals hideing from the people, the clouds floating above....it was all becomeing clear to him. There he sat with eyes closed and Red Dragon Blade on his back, white ninja grab not moving even the slightest inch....
Aislinn finally came upon the camp, among friends, both she and Cleome. Riding, as usual, not side saddle. Though today, her appearance was slightly different. Instead of the white gown and crimson cloak, she sported brown leather breeches and a deep forest green tunic. Her hair pulled back into a braid that hung far below her waist. Upon her feet were black leather boots, with pointed toes. She had come, ready to work if need be. The gown, the maiden found, had been hard to maneuver in.
Fay was at the helm of a small ship refang island was just coming into veiw she tide her hair back nad looked behind her to Ben "you ok back there?" she asked as she handed him the map her tail latched onto a rigging that was changing the direction of the sails so they wouldn't hit the rocks ahead
Flash_Guardian , who is still at the very center of the dojo and unseen from the clearing outside, gestures up through the ceiling. "Up. Onto the roof, since you're so keen on using your one good arm." Flash ponders for a moment before asking a tentative question. "Phoren ... why are you offering your help?" Then, to Alison, he asks a different question. "Is something wrong?" he asks, watching the little angel pace.
[PhorenNarqu ] "I have nothing else to do." He walked outside, and climbed up to the roof using his legs alone, placing the box down upon one of the areas supported by the wood, before he jumped back down, rolling to the side.He needed the practise. He nodded to Aislinn as he did, and went back inside, to heft another
Alison looks starteled looking at Flash "well yes and no i want to ask Lady Aislinn somethin and if well the awer is not what i hoped i will be so sad" she bit her lip and when back to paceing wondring if she should ask it not seeing Aislinn approch
BenjaminBlue had been feeling quite chipper at the beginning of his ocean voyage, but now the rocking of the boat had finally started to upset him a little bit. Taking the map in hand, hiding his awkwardness upon deck, Ben smiled to Fay with a slight nod. "I am fine..." he said meekly to his captain, trying to be tough. A feeling of relief had washed over him as the island came into view, lifting his spirits a bit. "Ah... Very good." Ben shifted towards the bow and took a look for himself.
Flash_Guardian shrugs, and continues as he was doing, focussing his currently active magic on the boxes of shingles, lifting them up into the air, sliding them underneath the arches in the roof, and setting them down atop the dojo. From the outside, this would probably seem very curious, to see boxes upon boxes of shingles simply 'floating' out from the inside of the dojo to land on the roof outside.
Blank sulkingly shuffled into the area with one of his hands stuffed into his coat pocket while the other fiddled with a pocket watch. "Jeebus, this is horrible. Boredom results in me coming here for lack of anything better to do... He mutters, incorperating several curses under his breath. He stopped several yards from the main mass of people and quirked an eye brow at them. "... Busy, eh?"
Aislinn gave Phoren a nod in return. She seemed to be in high spirits herself today. Feeling quite refreshed and at peace. The lady dismounted Cleome, landing with a soft thud, crossing her arms with a smile. The fiery red headed knight in training. Looking more the part now, dressed as she was. "Flash! Good to see you." She smiled more as she saw Alison. "So what is left for the dojo?" She wanted to help today. Maybe get the place just about finished.
Fay hopped back to the helm and unlocked it before she ramed into the peir she then locked it in prfect position to dock before going back to the rigging s and hauling on the main rope "drop anchor for me will you?" she asked Ben as she started pulling the sails up, a hard task for a small Kitsune but after watching Deigo ..before he'd died...she knew what she was doing
PhorenNarqu continued taking them to the roof, jumping off, and getting another, until there were no more boxes or someone stopped him, and after he wiped his brow, sweat only just starting to appear on it
Alison gulped then spoke up "Miss Aislinn ummm please may ummm have aaaa quick word wwith you" she was looking so shy and bluahing a little as she bit her lip gulping a little
Flash_Guardian blinks, hearing voices coming from outside the dojo, calling for him. Curious, Flash quickly floats his current load of shingles up onto the roof, then heads south through the central arena, through the southern wing to poke his head out of the dojo's 'front door.' He then sees Aislinn, and some others, have gathered outside, smiling and waving to each one of them. "My goodness, the island is popular today. It's roofing day!" Flash announces with much gusto. "Gotta get these shingles topside so they can be placed and nailed down. After that, the roof will be finished!" Flash seems absolutely delighted by the prospect.
Kiyoshi_Masuyo would stride threw the entrance that would lead into the heart of the place. Red orbs darted to the first dojo that presented it self to his vision. Waves of firey red hair almost flowed down to his shoulders, for he did not wear a top not any more. He had long forgoten the ways of the samurai, and he had his reasons. His youthful face held a chalky white texture and his eyes were sunken. How long had it been since he had rested? His stride held a limp, with every step a slight grimace would splay on his face. His ankle had taken a turn for the worst. Ever since steping in that bloody pot hole.... Kiyoshi gave an arubt snort.
BenjaminBlue looked over his shoulder to Captain Fay, still feeling a little ill as he gave her a silent nod. Using the railing to guide himself along the ship perimeters, the foppish priest eventually came to the anchor and did as she asked, either by pulling a lever or throwing something heavy overboard. Most likely, pulling the lever. "Ben shuffled backwards and turned to her again, straightening himself as he saluted her. "Anchor has been dropped, captain," he said in a wavering voice.
Aislinn laughed heartily in response to Flash. "Very good. I will be up to aid in a moment. I also brought something for you. That will have to wait until we are finished, though." Pausing, she smiled gently at Alison, her angelic features gazing at the little girl. "Of course. Would you like to talk here? Or somewhere else?" She asked.
[Flash_Guardian ] The boxes are quickly disappearing from inside the dojo and appearing outside, due to Flash's and Phoren's work.
Alison sighed as she did not not know who to word what she wanted to say she looked up at her and then said "ummm somwere else miss i think would be best" she looked to the floor looking so shy
Jaia-Asumoto would simply stare at the gathering masses, with a look of amazement. How did they all get here so fast? Most of them she had not met previously so she did not assume to interfere. Flash was busy, and with a smirk and the slight inclination of her head, she would know that he would be the centre of attention for a while. By all rights, this was his island. Her gaze suddenly locked onto the young one, dressed in the form of one she had been sworn to eliminate. A young ninja it appeared. She would see him depart and apart of her was relieved. The last thing she wanted to do was draw, even less so than a child. There was absolutely no honour in that...and she would not have done so even with provocation. She would control the energies of her Ki, her calm attention being brought back to the gathering people around the Dojo. Hearing Flash's words, she decided it was best not to greet him under such pressured circumstances. She would begin to jog steadily toward the dojo wall, before simply leaping into the --
Aislinn watched Alison with a gentle gaze, smiling softly. She seemed curious, wondering what the little angel wished to speak to her about. Holding out a hand to Alison, she would wait, then walk a little ways from the campsite so they could speak alone. "Is everything alright?" She looked concerned.
Fay looked at him and rolled her eyes as the ship slowed littlby little barley stopped before it crashed into the pier,though the haull got a little scratched she sighed "well not my best landing but then again howcan a kid find a crew yah?" she shrugged and hopped onto land "you can come down now Blue just don't puke on the deck please i don't want to hav'ta clean that up" ^_^;
Flash_Guardian nods to Alison and Aislinn knowingly, not wishing to disturb a private conversation. "I should get back to work," Flash says, making his way back to the central arena ... and finding someone else there, limping and looking things over. Flash looks curiously at the stranger, and concerned. "Is everything alright?"
Blank glanced at the people standing around and chattering while others worked and... stuff? The rogue continued to approch the dojo in a casual manner, twirling the pocket watch about on it's chain. "... Sulk." He grunted as he ventured closer to the structure.
Alison noded and then desided to just bring it out "well miss Aislinn as an angel i have been fighting all my life feeing so well lonely resetly i began a serch for a mother i looked far and whide but no one seemed to care really then i met you your the most wonderful lady i have ever met and being around you makes me so happy" she llooked to the floor "would you i mean if you dont want to its ok but i was hoping if you would like to be my mother" she then bit her lip and looked to the floor blushing madly
Jaia-Asumoto -- the air, planting both small, bare feet against the wall and pressing off them, hands now gripping the top of the wall. She would sail neatly over the wall and land on one of the beams meant to be the stabilizer to the roof. She would look at the roof and begin to wonder what she was to do from this point. She would simply wait for something to be passed up, before she attempted to do anything. She had not noticed Kiyoshi yet, but she would eventually. And if facts served, it was best if she didn't. She was still a follower of Bushido, and he...a ronin. Her reaction to his presence wouldn't be known until she looked up. Still, the straw hat shielded him from her line of sight as she looked around slowly...wondering where to commence work.
Kiyoshi_Masuyo would glance at the male who had aproached him. Reaching within the depths of his pocket, Kiyoshi produced a leather satchel. It made a satifying clink ." I wonder if you would offer hopitality. You see I have sprained my ankle, and I need to attend to it, but I do not posses knowledge of such things." Kiyoshi would give a wave of his hand." I would be more than happy to pay for your services..." Kiyoshi finshed off, his voice holding a pained note. From the corner of his eye, he would notice the female in a straw hat. Ahh... .
BenjaminBlue wiped what moisture had gather upon his noble brow witht the back of his sleeve before nodding to her with a slight huff. After watching Fay easily leave the ship, this man's version would appear as either pathetic or extremely clever. Much like a monkey who had been forced to drink an entire barrel of dark ale, Ben stumbled about the deck for a moment before finding his way to the main plank, clasping both hands on the railing to steady himself. Ben blinked, swallowing to himself. "Right..." Looking back down, he found that the board seemed to move and tilt to try and prevent him from escaping ship. With a look of childish distress, Ben immediately held one hand over both eyes and proceeded forward, his legs extending as far as they could before he would set foot on ground to repeat the process. Through miracal or just dumb luck, he found his way to land and uncovered his vision, sighing in relief as he figure slumped a bit. "Ah... That is better."
[Flash_Guardian ] The all the roofs over all parts of the dojo have been covered with a thin sheet of some kind of black substance (tar paper). Several boxes of shingles now rest in piles on the roof, just on the other side of the first layer of support arches in the central roof. And more boxes continue to arrive, placed there by Phoren, I assume.
Flash_Guardian grinned, shaking his head and holding up a hand to the winged (?) man. "Payment won't be necessary. A sprained ankle is any easy fix, even for a novice healer like myself." Flash would move to a kneeling position before Kiyoshi, sitting back on his legs and looking to his feet. "Alright, then? Which foot is troubling you?"
Fay watched ben trying her hardest not to laugh at the only freind she'd had in a while but she found herself laughing anyways "jeeze and i thought i was clumsy my first time on a boat but eve n i knew how to leave one without falling!" she wagged her tail then raked a hanfd through her hair as she calmy galnced aroound "...what're we doin here again? (nice Benny boy just dig yourself in deeper..oo! hi Aislinn!)
Aislinn found herself smiling softly, blushing a little at all of the compliments. She crouched down to Alison's height, affectionately ruffling her hair as she looked to the young girl. "I know what it is like to be alone. You should not have to feel that way." She wrapped her arms around the girl, giving her a hug. "I..do not know how well I would do as a mother. Are you sure that is what you wish?"
PhorenNarqu , to be truthful, felt like an outsider here. Unwanted. But he didn't really have anywhere else to be. He, when finished with the boxes, would lean against the framework, and sigh, loudly. Deep in thought, as he had been the entire time he was moving the boxes
BenjaminBlue hunched forward, setting both hands on his knees as he joined her in laughter, shaking his head. "I suppose I am just unique in that manner," he replied to her, a smile on his face now. Pushing himself back up, the bard looked over the shore towards the construction site in the distance. "Well, my fine friend," the man said, his tone calmer and more collected now. "I have come to meet with some friendly company." Ben turned back to her, his cheeful disposition starting to grow. "Come! I shall introduce you to them!" With that said, Ben started walking towards the dojo.
Alison noded tears rooled down her eyes she had been keeping theses back for so long but did no longer want to she then said so sofly "yes this is want more than anything in the world i would give anything for it" she just felt so happy in the hug this lady always made her feel safe and loved
Kiyoshi_Masuyo would jerk his to his left foot." Tis' that one sir." Kiyoshi spoke in a stern but yet soft tone. The two humps on his back gave a slight twitch( Wings are coverd by his coat. And they are only visable in the moon's light.Says in my pro).Kiyoshi would then stuff the leather satchel back in the depths of his pocket. " I thank you Sir. May I be privaldged to get your name?. I, my self is Kiyoshi Masuyo, dark angelic at your service.". A grim expresion would show on his youthful face as he finished his title.
Blank is standing near the enterance, leaning his back up against the wall.
Fay blinked and looked at him and wagged her tail out of cuiousity she turned into a small parakeet and flew up onto Bens shoulder and sat there boredly wondering who'd be freindly to a dmaned pirate
Flash_Guardian nods to Kiyoshi, then inhales deeply. His hands, which are resting in his lap, become surrounded by a very pale white glow, almost intangible. A moment later, Flash reaches out to touch Kiyoshi's left foot. Upon contact, a tiny amount of healing chi, spirit energy, would flow forth from Flash's hand, seeking to undo the sprain.
Aislinn felt her heart break at seeing her tears. She took Alison in her arms, holding her as she stood. Still hugging the little angel. How could anyone say no to her? One would have to be heartless to. They were both off to the side of the dojo to speak alone. She gently wiped away Alison's tears with one hand, the other supporting the girl in her arms. "I will try my best then, Alison. Every girl needs a mother... I do not want to see you sad anymore."
Jaia-Asumoto would look down at the tar paper and sigh, somehow daunted by the fact she was standing up here with no idea of what she was supposed to do at this point. Her narrow, brown eyes would comb the roof top carefully, making sure she did not put a foot wrong lest she lose balance and put a hole in the black sheet. Wearing a Hakama Himo, didn't exactly make it easy for her...but she wasn't going to take it off in public! Her balance prevailed, as years of training did that. She would peer down at Phoren from above and shrug lightly, and then look over toward Blank who also appeared to be alone. She would lift her head gently; the sharp, narrow eyes would note two figures approaching from the coast...such was her view. Looking down at Phoren and Blank she would quickly lift her right hand and beckon to them, speaking in her small, shy tone but loud enough for both of them to hear her clearly. "If...its alright with you two, I could use your help. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with the roof here, and I'm --
[PhorenNarqu ] "Don't know. Wait for Flash."
Alison looked to her and she sniffeld a little wiping away away her tears and looked at her happly she felt the happyest now she ever been "mamay" she said with a joyful tone "you just made me happyer than i have ever been most people see me as an angel they dont look past that to see im also a little girl" she looked at her a brint smile on her face her eyes seemed to sparkel now
BenjaminBlue took lengthy steps towards the unfinished training facility, quickly turning his head to one side to look to the small bird that rested upon his shoulder. Thinking back to Fay's claws, he would eventually come to the conclusion that she would be a shapechanger. With a light shrug of his slender shoulder and a laugh to accompany them, Ben continued on his way to meet with everybody. Soon enough, everybody would be able to see his blue form giving everybody a wave as he approached camp.
Jaia-Asumoto -- quite sure, I cannot do this on my own. Would you two be able to assist me?" her English was very good, but still induced heavily with her Japanese accent. However, she was sure they would understand as she lifted her straw hat back, the chinstraps keeping it in place, around her throat. Quipping a brow lightly at Phoren she would smile lightly, "He doesn't know I'm here."
[PhorenNarqu ] "Ah. Oi! Flash! Japanese woman here! At least, she sounds Japanese." There were advantages to having once been in love with a Japanese girl.
Kiyoshi_Masuyo eyes would widen as he would feel the chi. With an awed look, Kiyoshi would rotate his ankle, and to his surpise, no pain jetted up his leg. A smile would splay on his face." I thank you....Sir.". Kiyoshi still did not know the name of this male, but he was greatful for the minor healing.
Blank 's ear twitches. Someone was whispering, whispering to him perhaps? Ooooo... Someone took notice of the rogue. Another sign of the nearing of the end of the world... Not. The rouge glances towards the woman and quirks a brow. "Well... Not to state the obvious or anything but... Maybe you are supposed to finish the roof with that tar paper? Apply in uniform manner?" He says it somewhat sarcasticly, though due to the mood he appears to be in... It's probably no surprise. "Or do you want me to do it for you?"
[Flash_Guardian ] The blueprints for the dojo are probably up on the roof somewhere, held down by a pair of hammers and a couple boxes of nails near where Jaia is.
Fay looked at ben and tweeted in his ear whn he looked at hier she then noted her wore a big goofy hat an d hopped up onto it poking her headover the fram and looking him sqare int the eye
Aislinn kissed Alison's forehead, smiling now. She too felt better, even if she would have to become used to being called mommy. The word was a little foreign to her still. But she felt a warmth in her heart, as she hugged Alison. "Well, we will also do something about your messy hair and clothes." She laughed softly. "You know, when I was your age, I was always in trouble. Covered in mud, playing knights with the stableboys." She laughed, remembering the times. "Let us go back and see what Flash needs help with. Yes?"
[Flash_Guardian ] Flash rises now, smiling. "Call me Flash," he would tell Kiyoshi, nodding politely. "You're welcome to stay and rest here as long as you like ... and so long as you don't cause trouble for me or the other guests. Welcome to Redfang Island." With that, Flash takes his leave to move the rest of the boxes of shingles topside ... but is surprised to find them already there! "Geez, Phoren!" Flash would call to the man. "Save some work for me, why don't you?" With that, Flash now applies his telekinetic spell to himself, lifting him up into the air through the many rafters supporting the roof of the central dojo, then floating horizontally out through the archways to stand now where Jaia is, upon the roof over the large central room. "Ah. So here you are, Jaia. Long time no see." A quick and respectful bow is given.
Alison giggles and looks at her self she never really cared what she looked like since no one paid attion but looking at herself she agreed with her and noded happly " yay giggle i feel like im so happy i could do all the work alone" she giggled holding her new mothers hand and sighed happly as she walked with her
BenjaminBlue had briefly come to a halt as he crossed his lapis eyes to focus upon the bird peering at him. "Ah..." The priest gave the bird a playful grin, letting his hands rise to gently remove his hat, keeping it level and steady as he brought it before him. "Curious?" the dandy of a man asked his companion, now setting foot within camp. "No worries. Everybody will take a liking to you. I am certain of it." Ben tilted his head to one side as he carried the blue velvety platter with him, looking to all those who would be working so hard. "Salutations all!" he said cheerfully with a sharp nod to greet them.
[PhorenNarqu ] "Hello Ben."
Aislinn gave Alison a little look, with a laugh. "If you are going to help, you best be careful up on the roof though. Wings or not, I still do not want to see you fall." She smiled. Only letting go of Alison's hand now, so she could slimb up one of the ladders to the roof. She didn't have wings, and so needed to use it. After coming to the roof, she saw plenty of people working hard on it. Some she knew, others she didn't. The lady began to place the shingles down, after grabbing a stack, carefully making her way around the structure of the roof. Occasionally tossing her red braid behind her.
Demosis awakes in the eastern wing. she didnt remember falling asleep only that she was resting there. her eyes now back to normal thanks to much magical healing. she looked around the room ...and decided she had better find Flash and at least thank him for allowing her to stay and rest.
Kiyoshi_Masuyo would mouth the words." Flash...". There would be no trouble what so ever, but that was if he could contain the taint.Alas, some times it was inevitable for try and supres it.Kiyoshi placed a gloved hand on the hilt of his katana. The metalic end glinted in the ray's of the sun. Tilting his head, Kiyoshi gazed at the sky." Shall I give up the sword and live a normal life?". That was one question he had not yet answerd. Closing his eyes, Kiyoshi savoured the gentle breeze that caresed his cheek.
Jaia-Asumoto would look at the tar par inquistivly and frown lightly having only just noticed the blue prints. But rather than look at it straight away, she would look down from her vantage point and shrug gently, "It appears most of the roof is already covered, save for bits I am unsure of." she would tilt her head and then smirk, "Of course...I'm sure you would be able to handle it on your own. But I'm willing to admit my craftsmanship is better kept to that of a katana, as opposed to a building. Looking down at Phoren, she began to wander if anything pressed at the recesses of his mind as it once did to hers, not that long ago. If so, she did wish him well, silently...but she wouldn't pry into his life. Looking up in surprise she would see Flash had already there. Her lips would purse into a gentle pout, as she had hoped to have begun work before he had come back. It would have been interesting to see his reaction. Shrugging to herself, she returned the bow quickly and respectfully. She would turn and see Ben, --
Flash_Guardian hears Blue down below and sends him a hearty wave. "Blue! Welcome back!" Flash quickly looks around, seeing many people and taking a count of who actually sounds willing to work. One, two ... five, not counting himself. "Wow, this is perfect! Six people willing to work ... I happen to have three hammers. Alright," Flash calls out to the assembled crew, taking charge. "The roof is all finished, flat boards with tar paper laid across the whole setup. So the next step is laying out the shingles and nailing them down. Three of you who are good with hammers, go ahead and grab them and a box of nails! The other three can be in charge of laying the shingles in place! I'll show you how, if you're willing."
Jaia-Asumoto -- the jovial, friendly man that she had barely been acquainted too. Strangely, he drew a rather large smile from her and she would bow lightly in his direction, "Greetings, Benjamin-san!" she would continue to smile, before looking up at Flash with that light smile on her lips, although she was radiating in a sense. This was a life she had never really gotten to know, "Long time, indeed...Flash-san. I see your in need of assistance...Perhaps I can be of some help? If you would have me..."
PhorenNarqu quickly went and took a hammer, wielding as he would in battle. But it would still work. He took a box of nails, tucking it into his sling, wincing a little as it disturbed his arm
Alison spreding out her wings now flying about looking at the Dojo then flys looking for Mr Flash when she finds him she looks to him cheefuly and says "Hiya Mr Flash what can i do
Aislinn nodded firmly, with a grin, taking a hammer and a box of nails. Getting to work. Her violet eyes glanced down to see Benjamin, and she gave him a friendly smile for the time being. Slightly busy though, she went back to the task. A few of the nails in her mouth, holding them there as she went to her knees to steady herself. Placing a nail to the shingle, she brought the hammer down. A rapping sound followed, precise and sturdy.
[Blank ] "I see. I guess my skills aren't needed here... So I'll put them to use some place else." He shrugs his shoulders before striding off, away from the dojo. With a simple wave of his hand a shimmering blue portal appeared several yards in front of him. Before stepping through the dimentional hole he stopped right before it and glanced back over his shoulder. "Feh... Whatever." Shrugged agian then stepped through. The shimmering portal vanished soon after the artificer was completely through it. All that was left were his foot prints and the fresh smell of ozone from the portal.
Demosis found her way around and located Flash working on his dojo. he looked buisy, so she pulled her hood over her head and went to sit and wait till he wasnt so busy.
Flash_Guardian nods happily to Jaia. "If you'd prefer, I can show you how to place the shingles for the others. That way you can avoid any awkwardness with a hammer." Flash again calls out to the others, seeing that some of them have already gotten to work on a particular task. "If you have any questions about what to do, just come and ask me! I suspect with all these people, we can finish the entire roof in ..." Flash does some quick head math, looking up and away. "Three hours, I should think." Looking back to Alison, he gives her another cheerful grin. "Why don't you carry shingles to where they are needed? If you'd like, I'll even show you how to put them into place." Flash ponders for a moment, then moves over to grab a shingle. "For those who are curious, I'll demonstrate how I want them placed."
Kiyoshi_Masuyo would shift his hands to his lower back, interlacing his fingures. He would take a stroll, not really knowing where he would end up.Stoping in the middle of the heart of the island, Kiyoshi's head swiveled to where the people worked on the roof." Such a aranged comunity...". A smile would almost split his face into two. Suddenly a rumble emitted from the pit in his stomach. A hollow pit it was. How long has it been since I eaten? . His brows would nit together upon the thought.
PhorenNarqu too started to nail the shingles down, but he, rather than holding them in his lips, stuck them into his hand, and everytime he removed one, only a single drop of blood would flow before the hole healed over
BenjaminBlue loosed a mirthful chuckle as he returned Jaia's repectful bow, glad to she that he could provoke such a smile. "Thank you, everybody. I am glad to be here." The green bird perched upon his hat let out a series of cheeps and chirps before it would take to the air, soaring back towards the ship he had come arrived to the island in. Still holding his hat in both hand, the bard looked to the tiny green figure and shruged to himself, snuggly fitting his cap back over his golden mane. "Perhaps she is shy..." he wondered to himself. Looking back to the work going on, Ben took a few steps further into the belly of Flash's project, snuggly hiding both of his hands in the small of his back. His eyes would glance towards Kiyoshi's general direction, causing him to quirk one thin eyebrow.
Alison noded her head and wach with great intrest feeling happy that she could be of some use she giggled and foled her arms tying to look seriose
Aislinn saw the way Phoren was holding the nails, and felt herself pale a little. But, she went back to her task, still holding the nails in her mouth. It actually looked quite adorable. With her breeches, the tunic, and her hair put back in the braid. It had been a long time since she had donned men's clothing. But, the lady seemed quite comfortable in them, regardless. She continued on, moving across the roof, placing nails in with steady raps of the hammer.
Flash_Guardian lays the shingle down so that it overlaps the one below it. "See? Like this, so the rain rolls right off. You need to line up this line with the edge of the tar paper, and try to keep it straight. It's also a good idea to stagger them so the that edges of the shingles don't line up ... that could cause rain to get under the shingles and cause a leak. Just follow the pattern that I start, and things should go just fine." Flash grins to everyone else, stepping back after showing them the way and allowing them to do their own thing. "Wow, I can't believe I'm getting so much help today," Flash says incredulously, to no one in particular.
Demosis watches the people work, 'i wonder how much he is paying them' she thinks to herself. she smirks and continues watching the people build the dojo.
PhorenNarqu began to work his boot free, and soon kicked it at Flash "Believe it." He kept on going, and, even without Flash's guidance, was perfectly capable of shingling a roof. After all, he had built a cottage in the forest.
Kiyoshi_Masuyo noticed one of the forms on the roof look his way. Kiyoshi pressed his thin lips together hard from cursing aloud. It would not be proper. All he did was lift up a hand and give a formal wave. Why does he stare at me so? . Kiyoshi thought. His pools of cimson red narrowed at the male, locking him in his vision.
Jaia-Asumoto would bow gently to Flash, and look around slowly. She would than take heed to the boxes in the corner, and as such she would pry gently into one, removing it's contents of shingles. She would move one into place as Phoren hammered away, just to make sure that he didn't accidentally nail a support beam without a shingle in place. She would look around steadily, and smile lightly quite surprised at how many were working here. How many had taken so keen an interest in the dojo? Was that what it had been like a thousand years ago, with the construction of the Asumoto Temple? She knew this not to be possible. The Asumoto Temple, was a fortress in itself, and far larger than this. But who knew how large this place would become in time? Somewhere inside, she felt she was apart of something new. Seeing that Phoren was doing an alright job with the shingles himself, she would merely move to a different part of the roof and begin placing them in order so that when someone with a hammer came by, it would be --
Flash_Guardian eeps and half-dodges, half blocks a swift kick, not knowing where it was aiming. "Alright, alright! I believe!" Flash exclaims, laughing as he makes his way over to the edge of the roof to peer down at Demosis, whom he had noticed a moment earlier. "Hey!" he calls down to her, waving happily. "Feeling better today, are we?" Flash glances to the side, noticing how at home Aislinn seems to be in a pair of pants instead of her usual dress.
Jaia-Asumoto -- far simpler for them to knock the nails in without delay. She would continue with this carefully, suddenly, yet vaguely aware of Kiyoshi's distant presence.
Demosis nods at Flash "much better and thank you kind sir" she speaks as she stands up. she dips her head in her costumary bow. "i see that you have much help today..." she lets the sentence trail off as she watches the people work.
Flash_Guardian would also glance over at Blue, wondering just what he was up to at the moment. So many people to keep track of, yet Flash was doing his best.
BenjaminBlue casually step out into the open sunlight, feeling more comfortable under the shadow of his feathered cap. The man still stood in his scholarly manner, seeming to search the skies for something that had bothered him for the last couple days. "Well..." said the cleric, a happy expression overcoming his doubt. "The dark cloud that once hung over this place seems to have lifted." The cantor pivoted on his back foot and gracefully spun around to face everybody upon the roof of Flash's dojo. "This makes me happy. Seeing how many people lend themselves to your endeavor show me I have nothing more to fear. How much is left?" he asked them, particularly Flash.
Aislinn continued on, hammering as she went. As more shingles were placed by whomever, she would secure them with the nails. Occasionally grabbing more to hold in her mouth, pulling them out when needed. She seemed much quicker in this clothing, even her poise seemed better. Though with the gown, the lady had much elegance...now it was grace. She flipped the long crimson braid back again, when it started to slide forward.
Alison suddly feeling ill comeing down with workitise went for a little walk to clear her head in truth she was just to happy she now had eveything she had ever wanted a home and a mother and just to think the first time she came here was to be a quick rest she absent mindly began to walk to the beach
Flash_Guardian nods to Demosis. "So it would seem," he says cheerfully. Then, to Blue, and to the others, Flash relates, "Not too much, really! After the shingles all get nailed into place, the roofs will be functional. After that, the next step is laying insulation in the framework for the walls, then covering the framework with boards to finish the walls. Of course, after that will come all manner of other things ... doors, curtains, archways and other decorations. But after the walls are finished, the dojo will at last be fully functional!" Flash beams at such a notion. "I should probably get back to helping everyone else, though."
Kiyoshi_Masuyo would again place his one hand near the lower part of his back. The cylinder shape of the tanto was to be felt as his hand brushed along the shape. His gaze would jerk from the one male to another form. The one who he had noticed before.Another samurai. Samurai...gah! I am not any more. Ronin. . HIs facial expresion darkend. Tearing his gaze from the lady, Kiyoshi continued his exploration of the island. As far as he could tell, there were five buildings. So much too see, but would it be worth it? Again he caught him self gazing to that female who worked on the roof.
Demosis looks back over to Flash "well i just wanted to thank you for letting me get my rest." she glanced around. "so how do i get off of this island??" how she appeared here was quite odd...and she herself didnt quite understand the magical means that got her here.
Jaia-Asumoto would continue to place the shingles evenly and orderly for whomever to hammer, gently stepping out of Aislinn's way as she completed her small section of the roof. Having not had much of a look at Aislinn, she would respectfully allow the female to work unhindered, though she was curious about the woman. She had heard of her, as the first student of the dojo. It was an honour, that much she knew. She would continue to balance, her left hand moving to the sheathed Ichijmond to make sure it was always firmly tucked in with her sash. She walked steadily around the roof of this rooftop and placed shingles in any gap that could be left. Seeing that this had been completed, her part in the task had been completed, for the time being. Looking out, over the edge she would notice the male from a closer perspective. Japanese? She couldn't be sure. But she noticed the katana...It intrigued her, as she had not seen him close enough yet...who he was. She knew well enough, that the katana was a popular weapon. But --
Flash_Guardian watches as Alison takes off, yet says nothing. After all, he had always expressed to everyone that they were never forced to assist him. Those who chose to volunteer their efforts would be rewarded in time, he knew. (Only one building, with five rooms, by the way.) He makes his way over to a stack of shingles, grabbing one and heading over to put it into place. He calls down to Demosis as he works. "There's a narrow land bridge that leads back to the mainland, to the southeast," Flash says, pointing with a finger for the woman's benefit. "It's underwater during high tide, unfortunately. If the passage is submerged, you'll need to ask one of us to get you back to the mainland." Indeed, it seems everyone has their own way of getting here. Some fly, some ride, some boat ... some simply teleport in by various means.
Jaia-Asumoto -- no one who used the katana could master it as well as a samurai could. It was the samurai's weapon first, and foremost. Shaking the curiosity and thoughts from her mind, she would look back to Flash with a resigned shrug, "Anywhere else?"
BenjaminBlue took a few short steps towards the monument, releasing his right hand from its position behind him before tapping upon one of the beams of the structure with his silver talons. "Excellent! I will be glad when this is finished. I am eager to see what lesson you will bestow upon your pupils." Noticing Flash conversing with somebody already, Ben let his gaze drop back to the craftsmanship of the lower levels. "Very exciting..." The priest shuffled backwards and turned around once more, stepping back into open grounds. The group had been working hard on this dojo for quite some time, and Blue was proud to say that he knew so many people with such dedication. "Very nice indeed," he quietly said to himself, the corners of his mouth turning upward ever so slightly.
Demosis shudders at the mention of magic. "bah...how about you guys dig me a dark hole to crawl in" she mumbles to herself. she wasnt sure what the mainland was, was that the place she had came from. how she wanted to be home! "i dont want to have to walk all the way there just to find it submerged...so i'll wait till ...one of you are not so busy." she sits back down..the light already bothering her eyes...she just fell deeper into her cloak and relaxed.
Flash_Guardian would gesture to Jaia, indicating the remaining sections of roof to be covered. Indeed, the shingles had been laid out completely for this wing (the south wing, I assume). This left the roof over the west, east, and north wings, as well as the first, second, and third layers of the central roof, each higher layer of roof overlapping the one below it in width. "Plenty more to do," Flash says, "though we're making fabulous progress." Flash notices Jaia glancing down to the man whose sprained ankle he had healed moments earlier. "Something on your mind, Jaia?"
Aislinn would have heartily agreed that it was an honor to be the first student here. At first glance, she may have seemed a curious woman. In her twenties, that much was obvious. A full grown woman. Bearing fiery red curls of hair, that she had painstakingly pulled into a braid. A few curls had fallen about her soft features. She bore violet eyes, and a genteel manner about her. Though, there was a fiery determination. Any closer for other abilities, she seemed to bear a kind heart, perhaps healing and/or empathic nature. Looking quite like a maiden, who had donned her brother's clothes to try to be a knight.
Flash_Guardian moves on to start shingling the upper roofs now, lifting himself up with his still active telekinesis spell, floating up slowly until he reaches the lowest layer of the central roof and quickly laying out shingles for the others.
Alison sits on the beach laying back happly as she looks up to the sky she yawns a little and then closers her eyes feeling so happy here not beliving god himself could upsett her in any way shape or form now
Kiyoshi_Masuyo would give a start by shaking his head furiosly. His firey red hair flung about, almost looking similar to that of a lions mane." Must you ogle like a raging hormonic teen?". Kiyoshi had long forgotten his age, but it tickled at the back of his mind. What am I talking about? I am still a teen. .His features stayed darkend for a few moment and then brightened up." Try not to place my bad energies among these people..". Kiyoshi mumbled to himself. He would stride forth, his posture held straight as a board. His tan samurai coat flared out behind him as the edges of it flapped violently in the gale gust. The legging of his black slacks held blotches of mud from his travels, as so was his booted feet coverd in dried mud also. Again, jsut once, Kiyoshi craned his neck to peer over his shoulder to glance at the female again. There I go again! woolheaded ox! . Kiyoshi jerked his gaze infront of him, but with regret.
Flash_Guardian decides to do one step better. After setting down the next shingle, he stands upright for a moment, concentrating for a moment ... but then simply stops, looking shamefully in Jaia's direction and changing his mind. Perhaps on a different day Flash would bring his magics to bear upon the task. For now, he had all the help he would need, and didn't want to upset Jaia by using unnecessary magic in her presence. So, off he goes to the next shingle.
Jaia-Asumoto it would appear strange that she had not made any indication of her dislike for magic. Perhaps she had finally submitted that it would be around her no matter what? She would never use it...ever. It was against Bushido. Her gaze would drift over Kiyoshi again, eyes somehow straining to make out his form. She would shake her head lightly, as she realized it was becoming harder to make him out rather than easier. She would look at Aislinn, through her narrow, brown eyes and would note to herself that she was fascinated. Having nearly mastered the art of the katana, one would think few things would still fascinate her. Having lost nearly all of her clan, and people, and her love...one could still say the same and find just as adamant about maintaining her calm composure. Eighteen years old, and she acted sometimes as if she were thirty. She would balance herself evenly on what should be the top of a support beam and began to make her way toward the north wing. At the edge she would leap nimbly from one --
Demosis rested back ...taken a nap as the workers continued to do their things. she felt confortable enough to close her eyes and rest. it wasnt that she was tired...but she had to get back on to her night time schedule.
Jaia-Asumoto -- rooftop to the next. She would look up at Flash and smile softly, and surprisingly she would nod...like she knew what he was thinking. He did not follow Bushido, and as such, he was entitled to do as he wished. She would permit that without any concern. Looking down at the tar paper in front of her, she began to lay the shingles out steadily again. Having jumped much further than an average human could without much effort, one could wander if she had not broken her vows as a samurai herself. None the less she would continue to work, her mind in three places. Aislinn, Kiyoshi and their host, Flash. She had not seen Benjamin for a while now...and that too began to dawn on her, as she began to wonder what had happened to him.
Alison desiding she was now bord took to the are and started screeching COCKADOLDODO at the top of her lungs making more fire works go off happly in the sky
Aislinn stopped, just for a brief moment, wiping her brow now. The sun was warm, though it was a nice change. Whatever had been darkly looming over the island, had indeed seemed to be gone. She leaned down, to check around... managing to peer past the trees, seeing Alison flying in the sky happily. Those violet pools fell, and there she saw him. "Benjamin! Will you at least play a song for us hard workers? Instead of lazing about, like a spoiled maiden. Though, fair I must admit." She teased, disappearing from his view. To talk, she had pulled the nails out of her mouth, but quickly placed them back there. Chuckling to herself, quite happily herself, and hammering away. She seemed to carry herself with a noble posture, even if she was doing menial tasks. Still, it seemed to make her cheerful. Her eyes would look to Jaia and Kiyoshi from time to time, not having introduced herself yet. She reminded herself, when the work was over, or they took a break - to indeed talk to them both.
Demosis sits up with a start..then looking around to spot the noise. after spotting who made it...she layed back again, mumbling a few things under her breath.
Flash_Guardian also continues to lay out the shingles. With Jaia's help, the north wing roof is completed, then the lowest central roof ... until at last the entire roof is covered with decorative shingles.
BenjaminBlue tapped his feet to the rythem of the many knocks sounding from the hammer as they struck their mark, tilting his head from side to side as he approached a new bar of the song playing in his mind. The priest looked about the ground for a moment, hands still both clasped in front of him, trying to find a seat with little dirt to dirty his vestments. Focusing his attention on one spot, he wandered over and slowly knelt to one knee, removing a silken hankerchief from his breast pocket. "Well..." He brought the hankchief down and brushed away what dirt remain in his seat. "It is a nice day," said the bard, sounding his boredom as he lowered himself onto the ground, stretching his legs while his arms propped him up. His head fully tilted back to look to the group, his hat falling to the ground as he caught sight of everybody working upside-down. Then he heard Aislinn's voice, finally noticing her in his topsy-turvy world. "Spoiled?" he called back to her, bringing his head straight again.
Kiyoshi_Masuyo had manged to stride towards another dojo. Pivoting on his heels, Kiyoshi let his posture slump against the wall behind him. Arms crossed across his chest, Kiyoshi looked towards the direction where all the others had worked, and the one female.Shaking his head yet once again, Kiyoshi spoke in a husky tone." Why am I so intrested?". Kiyoshi thought he knew the answer to that, but he did not want to throw it around just yet. Trying to shift his thoughts to something else, Kiyoshi sought the void. Concentrating on a single flame within his mind, Kiyoshi fed the flame his thoughts and emotions, only leaving a vast empti space. There, Kiyoshi floated in the void. Where did she come from? . He was faintly aware of his thought. It skitted across the surface of the void. It was a task trying not to grasp the DarkPower. He had no intentions of weilding it right at this moment and there was no need. It was almost like a drug. The more he would weild it, the more he wanted to weild it. It's addictive. .
Aislinn laughed more, which sounded a little muffled by the nails in her mouth. She found that, actually, by this time, she was the only one wielding a hammer now. That didn't seem to bother her, or slow her down. Infact, she just worked faster. Diligently at it, keeping a quick pace. Hammer each nail in its spot, walking across the roof on knees. The breeches were good leather, and held very well against the roofing.
Alison begin to fight invisible oppent in the air with her holy sword glowing she giggled as she flow around attack tthe air as she did so happly she had never ever played like this befor in her life
Flash_Guardian applauds the fireworks, watching them for a time, distracted. "I'll need to get her help for the celebration party," Flash tells himself, returning to work. He also sees the man from before down below making himself comfortable, it seems, as well as Blue laying out in the grass below. Truly this was a happy and peaceful place, one where all sorts could gather to relax. The thought makes Flash smile proudly.
Jaia-Asumoto chuckles lightly at Aislinn's teasing of Blue. She would shake her head gently, as she continued toward the completion of the roof. Eventually she lay the last shingle in place, and smiled softly. Her part in this work was complete. Looking back over her work with a look of relaxed satisfaction she allowed her mind to wander, "Perhaps I could train here someday." shrugging gently, she knew that despite the vastness of the Asumoto Temple, it was steadily becoming a morbid tomb. It was then she sensed a spike in the flow of the world s Ki. Something Dark had been touched. Her left hand slid down the pommel of Ichijmond to the sheath gripping it tightly, her right hand shooting down to grip the katana. The left hand tilted the opening of the sheath forward while the left allowed the blade to expose itself, but only a tiny bit. She would stand in that stance for a moment, as if ready to attack with an Iaido stance. She would look around slowly, her Ki having found the source of the disturbance. Kiyoshi. --
Jaia-Asumoto -- But she did not know him to have been a fallen samurai, and as such she would sheath Ichijmond before anyone could notice she had moved. She knew the presence to be Dark, but unless it inferred directly to Bushido, the samurai way, herself or those around her, she wouldn't react. But she would have caught his attention by now, as he had certainly caught his. Looking up at Flash, and seeing the look of pride, she would smile also...somehow strained, but not enough for him to notice anything wrong.
BenjaminBlue let his feet sway from side to side, his head doing the same as he sat upon his tuffet. "Well..." Ben planted his silver gauntlet upon the grassy floor and pulled his harp from over his shoulder, giving the longest of the golden strands a pluck. "Why not. It may speed things up a bit." Letting his hands glide across the glittering strings of his instrument, Ben sounded a hormonious chord that would seem to echo across the entire island. The clarity of that sound would be incredible and near perfect, a very soothing sound to hear. Letting his velvety fingers dance across the strings of his harp, Ben began to play an energetic and upbeat melody for everybody to hear. "So long as my siren's call does nothing to distract anybody..." he teased to himself as he played.
[Flash_Guardian ] Since all of the shingles have been properly placed, Flash now retrieves one of the three hammers and a tin of nails, making his way to Aislinn's side to help her nail everything into place. "Rather repetitive work, this," Flash would comment with a lazy shrug. "I usually find it good for conversation. Or music!" Flash would hint down at Blue. Hearing an upbeat melody begin to waft upwards on the air, Flash nods in time to the beat. "Ahh, yeah. That's it ..." Flash now seems to work in time with the music, his nail placements and hammerings rapping out a beat in equal time to Blue's musicking. Indeed, Flash seems to have no trouble keeping time with Blue's music, his motions finding home in the song quite naturally. No matter what pace Blue would set, Flash would be able to keep up.
Aislinn could sense uneasiness in the air. The lady was an empath. That, was her strongest ability. She had seen the marvelous fireworks, and too, paused to clap for Alison. Now, laughing softly as she battled an invisible foe. Cleome, who was on the ground, seemed to watch Alison carefully like a nursemaid. Synth, the peculiar dove, flew now to Benjamin's shoulder, finding a place to perch. She smiled softly at Benjamin's tune, hammering away. Stopping briefly again to gaze at Flash. "Sir Flash, I have something for you. Before I forget!" Aislinn too kept up with the rhythm, grinning at Flash. "Well, repetitive or not, I do not mind so much. It is an honest day's work."
Kiyoshi_Masuyo narrowed his eyes, slightly picking up the actions of the woman. A slight grimace siddled its way upon his face." And that is why I travel. I always travel to escape those who reconize who I am.". His words sounded far off to him, for he still floated in that empty void. Again a gloved hand moved to the hilt of his katana. That was his pride and joy. Was it still? Live by the blade and die by the blade. . Did that still comply with him? Alot of questions he did not know. It was all he wished for sometimes. To be an ordinary mortal, but no, he was cursed with the gift to weild the DarkPower. At least in his eyes it was a curse, but another part of him said it wasn't. For a second, his gloved hand fumbled at the straps that held it to his hip. For a mere moment he was ready to be rid of the blade. But as soon as his fingures reached the straps, his hand had stoped and began to tremble.
Alison then smirks as she flys so hight about 200 feet in to the air and she quickly plummuts the earth just pullling up as she is bout to hit the tree she looks a little wozy but then giggles happly as she contioes to fight the invisible evil pink fluffy bunnie
Flash_Guardian would nod to Aislinn happily, looking rather curious. "Something for me ? You're already working on the dojo, and you would give me something else?" Flash now even seems to be speaking in time with Blue's music ... it's strangely incredible how naturally Flash can fall back into the rhythm, almost as if it's a skill that he practices. "Charity flows unceasing on this island, it seems."
BenjaminBlue turned his head to one side, flashing the dove a thoughtful smile as his fingers now started to move a little faster. The musician's ear had noticed the rythemic knocks of their work, now making a game out of it. Letting his hand glide once across the glittering array of sunshine his instrument had been so carefully crafted with, the bard moved forward and let his hands fly! His fingers would move almost spiderlike as the tempo of his melody quickened, his hand almost a blur now.
Aislinn nodded now, speaking a little muffled with the nails in her mouth. She continued working, as she spoke to Flash and listened to Benjamin's always beautiful music. "Mm..I do haze zomethin' fer ya.." She spoke with the nails, remember. It was hard to form words with them. "Iz ta thank ya fer before an' everythin elze.." She stopped trying to speak with the nails in her mouth, laughing. She sounded very odd. Cleome, seeing Alison plummeting, neighed in panic and ran to try to catch her. But, snorted as the angel seemed to do it on purpose. The horse nickered, to herself. This girl will be just as much trouble as my human was when she was small. Synth, seemed to like Ben quite a lot. She nuzzled at his face, cooing softly.
Flash_Guardian quickens his pace as the song seems to speed up gradually, not missing a beat. The nails are now being thrust into place with such speed that they actually seem to embed themselves in the wood slightly upon impact. He seems to have lost himself completely in the song now, only halfway hearing Aislinn's words. Thock, thock, thock, go the nails into place in time with the beat, then rolling back with a few footsteps Flash's hammer pounds them all into place, each with a single blow as is his fashion. Whack, whack, whack!
Alison yawns now she had slayeed denomic rabits flouts there happly not waiting to come down she onece in a whitle make fire works for fun the sky
Jaia-Asumoto watched Kiyoshi cautiously, looking to see if the other two were hard at work, while Blue and Alison where occupied. Turning she quickly leapt down from the building making sure she was moving a direction that was kept from their sight. She seemed to float down from the rooftop, when really she was making herself light enough to appear that way before landing gracefully. As soon as her right foot hit the ground she began to walk toward Kiyoshi at a rather quick pace, breaching the usual samurai combative distance as she came closer. It would appear she were going to attack but instead she would stop about five metres in front of him, "Ronin. Your honour as a samurai has been withdrawn and as such you would be ordered to take your own life out of shame, or I could assist you in your suicide. However, as this place is not a place of Bushido, I will not hold you responsible for loss of your honour and your role as samurai." her small voice was light, but firm...and she meant what she said. "You may redeem --
BenjaminBlue had to focus intently now, struggling to keep from hitting a single wrong note in his performance. "Blast you, Flash!" he yelled over his shoulder, the ends of his arms now a blurry mix of silver, gold and blue. A lone bead of sweat appeared upon his brow, teeth clamped together as he continued his song. "That's it!" he said, shutting his eyes with one loud chord ringing out to bring an abrupt halt to his melody, the man now leaning forward to support himself with his instrument. The harp's voice would echo for a moment longer before fading into silence, the man now looking over his shoulder towards the site as he attempted to catch his breath. "Fair enough... You win..." A lock his of frizzled golden mane dropped into his vision, but no sooner had it landed did he pucker his lips and blow the bothersome strand away.
Jaia-Asumoto -- what honour you have left, but removing what blasphemy you possess. Perhaps you can return to your role as a samurai...It s not for me to decide. Until then, I will address you as, ronin. I do not expect you to feel insulted, because to me...that is what you are." tilting her head gently she would ask, in a softer voice, "Understand? Consider this an act of good will. I would rather not take your life. There is no honour in it." She could not accept him as a friend while he was ronin, but she believed he would understand that on his own. Looking over her shoulder, her left hand still tipping the sheath forward in case she had to draw, she would look behind her to make sure no one saw or overheard, and then looked back at him...narrow brown eyes looking over him carefully, "What is your name, ronin?"
Aislinn had only been able to keep up so much. Hammering as quickly as possible to the beat, but she was not even close to Flash's speed. Be that as it may, it was probably a good thing she could not keep up. Quality, was the issue here. So she went back to work, after catching a breath, wiping her brow again. It had taken something out of her to work that quickly, and she too had wisps of her own curly crimson locks in her eyes. Sitting, for a moment, she took a small break.
Flash_Guardian actually manages to, with the musically augmented pace, hammer quite a few nails into place! As the song comes to a rather abrupt halt, Flash seems to stumble slightly, at last returning to reality it seems, just in time to flick that last nail into place atop the highest part of the dojo roof, the nail sticking out of the wood upon impact. Flash simply looks back down to Blue with a giant smirk on his face, but gives the musician a look of appreciation. "Thanks," is all he says before pounding the last nail into place with a good, solid blow.
Alison gets a cd player from out of her back pack and puts on im walking on sunshine and begins to fly around to the music anyone who llooked at her not knowing she was litoon to that would think she put ichin powerder down her back
Flash_Guardian hops down from the top of the roof to the next lower section, and from there to the lowest section of the central roof, heading towards Aislinn now that the nailing is completed, as well as the entire roof. "Alright, that's it!" Flash says cheerfully. "Umm ... sorry if I got a little carried away back there. Music happens to be one of my most potent weapons, actually," Flash explains. "You should see me train to techno sometime," he adds, wiggling his eyebrows once and grinning smugly. He laughs at himself, waving aside his pride with a hand. "Anyway, you mentioned you had something for me? Now's as good a time as any."
Aislinn held up a finger, asking for a moment as she unceremoniously flopped to the roof, trying to regain her breath. She did not have Flash's unnatural speed, afterall. Such hard work, had exhausted her, truly. Her chest rose and fell, straining as she struggled for deep breaths. Lying on the roof, managing a small chuckle. She found it amusing.
Kiyoshi_Masuyo would narrow his red orbs upon the female. He knew of what she spoke, but he had not spoken a word, at least not yet." I do not retain the title samurai or ronin as you proclaim. I am nothing. If it means so much to you...". Kiyoshi tugged at the strap of his katana and grasped it before it fell." Do as you please.". Kiyoshi then tossed the katana infront of the female." Suicid is the cowards way out. No matter of what way you view it from. I will not submit to that. And I will not reveil my name to you. In your eyes I am ronin and you will not accept me as a freind or allie.". Kiyoshi would then brush a hand threw his silk hair.
Flash_Guardian hadn't noticed how tired out he had become as a result of his speedy work ... he too sits next to Aislinn on the completed roof, looking this way and that in satisfaction. "I wish we could have this many people working here every day ..."
BenjaminBlue turned back around once more, removing his left glove by clamping teeth down upon the end of one fingertip before giving a gentle tug. "Ah..." he said, looking to his finely manicured nails. "Not a scratch," he said with an ooc smile, looking back to the group near the site. "Music, eh? That is quite lucky for me!" Now the man sprawled out upon the grass, now tired from the intensity of his performance. Squinting with a groan because of the sun's rays, Ben pulled his hat over his eyes and clasped his hands together, siganaling his comfort with a muffled, "That's better..."
Alison now so board she flew down and landing in front of flash "ok im done playing what can i do" she say with a little giggle streaching now looking refeshed and rather happy
Aislinn managed to catch her breath enough to speak, sitting up now, beside her friend. "Indeed. Some good hard work got accomplished." She struggled to her feet, still breathing heavy. "I fear I cannot keep up to you, sir Flash." She grinned, now pressing her hands against her thighs, crouching a little, regaining her breaths. She whistled, Cleome approaching the roof. Looking up at the lady, giving her a good glare. Knowing what Aislinn was up to, but praying that she wasn't. Cleome, though, knew her companion quite well. Aislinn intended to jump from the roof to horseback. She waited, giving the mare a grin. "Come now...steady..."
Jaia-Asumoto smiles softly and extends her right hand, plucking the katana out of the ground and studied it closely. She would smirk softly and then turn so she faced him directly pointing the tip of his sword toward his throat in a centre stance although she was some distance away, "Ronin is no title. It means 'dishonoured one'. And none the less, I will view you as one. I gave you a chance to continue on and redeem your honour, but giving me your sword is an indication that you wish to end your life. Without the courage to take it with your own hand, I suppose I will have to take it for you. Unless of course, you take your sword back. Reject what blasphemy is inside of you, and become what you were first. If you refuse, I will not honour you with my name...and neither will you know it as I end your life with your own katana!" she spoke this with extreme emphasis. For a smaller woman, she commanded a great air of authority when provoked, "Now, ronin...Your name, your sword...and your chance. Your last chance. I urge --
Flash_Guardian just chuckles at Alison. "There's nothing left to do for the roof now, it's finished," he tells her. "But I do know of something else you can do for me, sometime later." Flash leaves it at that for now, following with another statement which is perhaps a clue as to what he would like done at this later time. "Your fireworks displays are lovely." Flash simply shakes his head at Aislinn, waving a hand at her. "Don't worry about it ... few can. Speed is one of the things that I do very well, partly due to my training, and partly due to magic. As part of your training here, you might learn some of the secrets of speed." Flash now stands with Aislinn, moving for the edge of the roof.
Jaia-Asumoto -- you to take this chance to redeem yourself. Perhaps then I will honour you with my name." she would lift the hilt of the sword toward him now, and let it drop on the ground between them. Taking two steps back she would keep watching him, "Perhaps, I will tell you who I am...no matter what choice you make...Perhaps not. Now choose."
Flash_Guardian sees Jaia and Kiyoshi in some sort of dispute ... or is it a dispute? The ways of honor are sometimes difficult to understand. For now, he simply watches, trusting in Jaia not to let things get out of hand.
Aislinn smiled now, nodding at Flash. "I would like that. I may not be as strong as a man, but I hope to be faster than one." She said. If she could not use strength as an advantage, perhaps she could learn to use speed. With a roguish grin, and a wink, she jumped from the roof. The lady marvellously did a few flips in the air, to land perfectly in the saddle of the horse. Cleome, snorted, a little annoyed. She smiled, scritching behind Cleome's ears. "Do not be so cross, dear friend. I could not resist." The red headed woman dismounted now, and began to search her saddles. "Now...let me see...ah!" She retrieved a large package. It was soft to the touch, wrapped in paper and tied with ribbon. "Sir Flash! Here is my gift to you."
Flash_Guardian hops down from the roof in a much less dramatic fashion, arms spread out and red cape trailing behind as the air rushes past, ground rushing up to meet him. And meet him it does, Flash landing deftly using one foot to cushion the landing, ending up in a crouch with one hand flat against the ground, his cape now falling to drape around him. Slowly he rises and makes his way over to Aislinn to accept her gift for him, shaking his head humbly. "I still do not see any reason for such a gift ... though I am curious as to what you would get someone like myself, with so few material needs." Torn between humble and curious, Flash slowly puts a thump under the ribbon, sliding it away and off to one side before going to unwrap the gift and see what is inside.
Kiyoshi_Masuyo eyes would now show a spark of anger. Gathering all his composure, Kiyoshi drew him self to loom over the female even from the short distance between them." You do not understand samurai." Kiyoshi spat out with a face of distaste." I walk this path, not by choice. It was forced apon me. Do you truly think it easy to redeem my self? to get rid of this 'blasphemy' that dwells within me?No.". Kiyoshi tone of voice rose a bit from anger.Jaws clenched, fist shaking at his side, Kiyoshi only glanced at his sword that lay between them. Hesitant at first, Kiyoshi took a step forth to retrieve his sword. With a hurried action, Kiyoshi bent over and swept the blade back in his hand. Straightening, he took a few steps back, his liquid red orbs glaring at the female." My name is Kiyoshi Masuyo. Dark Angelic..". Kiyoshi blandly spoke."Like I said. It is not easy letting go of it..let along get rid of it.". Kiyoshi's eyes then saged to the ground.
BenjaminBlue would be lazily snoozing in the midday sun, both of his arms set behind his head and his feet crossed. "Ah..." he said with satisfaction in his voice. "Nothing is so sweet as the giving of a gift to another..." Ben arched forward, letting his feather cap fall into his lap, his hair fanning out to form a golden halo before falling back upon his shoulders as he looked towards Aislinn and Flash. Although the arguement between the two Eastern warriors would briefly grab his attention, causing his smile to to waver a bit. Ronin? Ben had no understand of what that might be. He could only hope that he were not a ronin as well... Letting those distasteful thoughts drift from his mind, the musician looked back to the happier pair, now very curious what Aislinn had instore for his old friend, Flash.
[valkor_slytheren ] Valkor appears standing next to a rock on the beach.... His winga cover his body asa black redish trnchcoat....
Flash_Guardian trusts in Jaia's judgement. She shares his distaste for violence.
Aislinn smiled warmly to her friend now. Her violet eyes eagerly awaiting as he opened it. "You deserve many gifts, my friend. You have been quite kind, time and time again. It is a small token of my appreciation for all you have done for me." Allowing her to stay on the island, coming to her defense. And her soon to be teacher. She spoke up again. "I did not so much as get it, as I made it." She said softly. It was quite a large, soft package. When he opened it, it seemed to be folded material. At closer inspection, it had all been hand weaved. Strands of the most brillant colors, all in this banner. There were thousands of pictures among it, done with loving care. And in large words, 'Sanctuary' was written in the fabric. Pictures of friends eating over a campfire, helping build the dojo...everything she had witnessed on the island. It was absolutely incredible. Each face, each detail, perfect. She was a weaver, though never usually worked on such projects. (cont)
[Aislinn ] He would not be able to see it fully, until it hung. It was made, perfect dimensions for the main entrance of the dojo. She had worked, secretly on it for some time.
Jaia-Asumoto despite the physical differences between the two, she wasn't easily stood over, and neither did her body language seem to cower in front of his towering rage, as compared to the force of her will it would not oppose her in her duty. But she would nod, and relax, "How was it placed on you? The samurai forbids magic. As is technology that takes away the honour of close combat. I am interested to know how you could have succumbed to it without a fight? How can you live with the shame of being claimed by it? Do you live merely to be rid of it?" she was slightly confused by this former samurai. She did not refer to him as ronin yet; as she had to be sure the circumstances truly were dishonourable. When a samurai is forced to forsake everything that they were, they would choose death because their shame was too great. It was not a coward s way out, as it took courage to end your own life. To do so redeemed ones honour. Looking at Kiyoshi, she would find that this was an intriguing turn of events. He truly --
Jaia-Asumoto -- did not appear to be well versed in the way of the samurai sword. Perhaps he had been learning, when the power claimed him. Perhaps it had taken him before he had fully understood the principals of a samurai. This was...what she secretly hoped...otherwise, it would indeed prove him ronin. But even when proven ronin, he could redeem his honour through the hardest trial of his life. Removing the taint.

The emotions on his face seemd to tell you that he was just face to face with his worst enemy.... he says to him self agian, Why does she insist on arming me and my beloved SilverAngel...
Flash_Guardian unfolds the patchwork of woven images slowly and with much awe. His wide-eyed gaze increases more and more as he peers over the fond memories of this place woven into the banner with such colorful strands of thread ... memories given substance in the soft cloth he now holds. "Oh, Aislinn ..." Flash shakes his head in wonderment, his delight too much for words. "It's wonderful ... and it looks like ..." He unfolds it as much as he can, trying to gauge the width and dimensions. "You made this to go with the main entrance? Perhaps up above the main door inside the south wing?"
Kade wanders up from the beach towards where Flash's dojo was being constructed. As he walked, his head was down, and his hands shoved deep into his pockets. He looked oddly enough, to be lost in thought.
Aislinn smiled brightly, as he responded to it. She scratched the back of her head, flushing a little in embarassment, but was overjoyed he seemed to like it so much. It made it that much more special. "Yes, I did make it for it. But, hang it wherever you like, if you want to hang it..that is."
[valkor_slytheren ] Stands there looking out over the waer and not moveing... Seems to others that he is not even breath because he is so lost in thought... He moves his hair out of his face and closes his eyes... He rememberthe last time he seen his beloved Angel.... He kneels down out by thewater and runs his hand threw the water... While is hand is in the water, The wate begin to change to a black color....
Flash_Guardian catches sight of the letters at last, reading aloud what they spell. "Sanctuary." A happy and proud smile spreads over Flash's face, and before she can react, Flash has wrapped his arms around Aislinn in a powerful embrace of gratitude and appreciation. "Thank you so, so much! I'll need to hurry and get the walls built so I can put it up!"
BenjaminBlue twisted himself over and buries both elbows into the ground, cradling his haed within both of his hands as he watches the two pair, much like you would expect to see a child examining a butterfly or earthworm in the grass. Blue laughed to himself, finding Flash's delight amusing to observe. Kicking his leg against the ground with no particular pattern, the cleric glances to one side to find Kade strolling up. Lifting one hand from its position, he offered a polite wave to Kade as he passed by. Not much was known to him about the man, so he didn't dare interrupt his contemplative disposition.
Kiyoshi_Masuyo would continue to look down upon the ground." I.....I was taught when I was young. The way of the dark arts. You see, I am no ordinary mortal like you.I am of the race called angelics. I do not know if itis true, but they are believed to be the offspring of angels them selfs. For all I know, it could be an old wifes tale." Kiyoshi gave a mere shrug. Bringing up his gaze to the female, Kiyoshi continued." I learnt the ways of the DarkArts before I learnt the way of the samurai. Or at least some of it. I do not remember. My memory has long since eroded. Before I weilded the sword, I weiled the DarkPower.". For a second a wry grin spread on his face, but then faultered."yes..yes. It was that, those lessons that the taint first came apon me when I would try and grasp the DarkPower. You see, when one wields the DarkPower, the one needs that taint upon his soul so he can channel. That is one part of it. If he who channels the DarkPower, does not learn to supres the taint, it will consume his soul and shred itc
Flash_Guardian is absolutely thrilled. After seeing everyone come together to help him in a project such as this, how can he not see and admire the sense of community forming on this island. 'Sanctuary,' the banner reads. And so shall it be.
Aislinn was surprised by the sudden hug, but her features softened and she returned it to her friend. She smiled brightly, enjoying how happy it seemed to have made him. "My pleasure. I do hope you enjoy it. It was the least I could do."
